Life and escape

"You and I…...are same as well as different from all aspects", he said taking a sip.

- I never gave it any serious thought.

- Well that's same for you in everything, isn't it?

- Not really anymore, I guess.

"Look at you, you've learnt to talk better now", he said letting out a short laugh.

- Have I?

- Yes.

- Can you tell me the aspects you just mentioned?

- Same, as in we have almost synced minds.

- Synced minds?

- We both have same outlook of what we do

- I can...never be like you. I am a coward!

- No, you are the strong one here. And you don't have to do anything, just stay with me and let me do what will let us both live.

- I can just rely on you?

- With no hesitation! Coz if you leave, both of us die.

- You've doing well all this while before me too.

- Yes, totally blindly!

- You know you don't have to take my responsibility. So why…...

- Why…...may be because it has to be you. Only you and no one else…...I'll be so lonely again else…...

"I can't leave you…", she made it clear again," …. not unless you want me to".

"Goes for you too", his voice went to serious from casual in an instance," …. not unless I die".

- If that happens on my part, promise me you'll do what you know you have to do.

- Impossible. I can possibly never….

"I know what you have been developing, and I won't stop you. I also need time for it to come to me. But never let that come between this coz our primary relation is for survival!", for someone with no developed mind, her words were too intense for him. It sometime turned him on, and sometime snatch away his calm.

"All you can do is carelessly speak without knowing the effects upon around", he gave her the dark eyes with pressed lips.

He looked away slowly, his face inscrutable.

There he is again, putting on his sulking face which appeared more like a deadly one.

He took another sip without meeting Jay's eyes anymore. Not that her gaze is always keenly stuck his way whenever they talk, completely unlike him. His eyes never leave her once. His view can be considered powerful than any demon in hell, dark as it is to the extent of the darkest sky ever. Jay has never handled that well.

Thus, whenever his stare is diverted, things are pretty serious on his side.

Jay unintentionally stole a glance from him.

Clearly, he is not pleased with how they came to an end with the conversation. Jay just stated her point; she has never had any idea of how she's been offending him anytime. His wearing of that stern face never helps too.

Jay had tried for a while not to let his affections get swayed, else she feared she can't survive. But then, if he can put an end to it all his way, there's no reason for her to stop him. Perhaps, she herself can try to wear a difference for a change.

For him!

She turned properly this time.

To her surprise, when did he come this close?

He was leaning more towards her.

"Jay…...", he whispered with his breath heavy and fast.

Jay was paralyzed and stiff.

Still the thought crossed her mind...is this okay for them?

........................…

"Look who has decided to show up now", the voice was annoyingly loud.

Jay broke out of her dazed memories and looked up lifting her head. It had grown pretty dark by the time. How long she's been reminiscing the time?

Did she held back herself just by relying on those vague memories?

Strong itself, aren't they?

Thinking even about it gets her a long way through time.

But…...the control is only temporary!

Can't do it for long, not anymore. It'll just worsen things.

It's almost fading by time passing. It's foggy.

"Jay!!!", said another loud but harsh voice," You're back after a long time now".

"Did that wimp you caught a while back, leave you already?"

"We knew no one could get along with you other than us"

"Why are you here again?"

Jay's face was stony.

Every insult, every taunt, she has to take it in. They were no pals of her.

They are methods.

Of survival.

The dirtiest of methods, to keep her from dying.

When she had no more choice, she had to make do with anything. Even if it strips her off of her every inch of esteem left. The lowest way to get a relief dose…...coz there's no one around anymore!!!

"Cut the crap!", Jay stood up her face burning along with her eyes," Just do what you've been doing all this while".

"Well you just showed up such a long time later…...", the annoying one started to speak to be just interrupted.

"Tag your pay", Jay growled gritting her teeth.

Her limit was on the verge of crossing the line. She reached over to her head, her nerves throbbing! As if somebody tore them but the put-up pieces are wrongly assembled. She has lost her senses to think clean.

One of them grinned and spoke, "If you are not going to say what you want, how can we help?"

Jay looked up and looked right through his eyes. She just tore through one pair, but it felt as if her glare was hovering through all of them. They were almost hypnotized and froze on their spots. Their pupils shivered, pulling them all at her mercy. Somehow, she overpowered them with nothing at all. It was just like the first time.

They were afraid...of her!!!

No reason specified.

Their faces said that they would listen to her anything now.

"Give it all like making up for all the absence before this", her voice like of a mistress's order.

"Let us know when to stop"

"Not anytime sooner"
