living in Olympus

After our meal Artimis lead me out of the dining hall before I even had a chance to wish the other gods well. practically dragging me down the paved walkways she showed me mansions the gods lived in with exception to Poseidon and Hades who had their own realms to go to. Hera and Zeus mansion was more like a castle made of white granite. the other mansions were modest enough but reflected each personality perfectly.

Ares: black and red

Aphrodite: purple and white

Apollo: gold and white

Artimis: silver and white

Athena: grey

Demeter: wheat gold and green

Hestia: flame colored

Hermes: brown and gold

I smiled at the thought as Artimis brought me to her mansion. looking around I was in awe. simple yet immaculate. white walls with a silver ceiling, black sofas and matching chairs, paintings of her sacred creatures decorated the walls.was what I first walked into. looking around I saw stairs leading up to the second floor. following Artimis up to the second floor I saw a room full of armor, bows, arrows, throwing knives, skins and taxidermy animals. seeing more stairs and her continuing to walk I kept following her to the third floor. this seemed to be the living space as there were many doors. walking down the hall she opened a door.

"and here Ravenna is your room." she spoke softly as I stood frozen in the doorway with my mouth open. how long had it been sense I had a bedroom that wasn't a dungeon cell? the room was spacious with a huge bed dominating it. black curtains surrounded the bed with matching black blankets and sheets. the floor was a gray stone with several white rugs around the room. a single wall was dedicated to books with a small desk tucked into a corner that lead to a wall that was purely windows that looked out into the green lushious land. stepping into the room I realized that the books didn't just stay at one wall but went around to encircle the wall holding the door. it was beautiful. looking at Artimis I opened and closed my mouth not knowing what to say as tears formed in my eyes.

"oh no do you not like it? I have other rooms you can try!" while I shook my head with a smile.

"its perfect Artimis, so perfect I don't even know what to say." I spoke and my voice cracked. she gave me a weird look.

"its just a room! I'm sure your room back home was just as glamorous." she said with a smile as I grew silent and looked down. "your room was glamorous wasn't it?" she asked starting to grow concerned. I shook my head.

"it was until my mother died when I was six...after that I went and lived in the dungeons because my sorry excuse of relatives thought I was to privileged for a six year old and after I found out they were going to give me to the slave trade I moved to a cave..." I trailed off as she came up and hugged me.

"well I assure you this is your room now and if anyone says or does anything different I'll happily hunt them. deal?" I nodded and she smiled while pulling back. "good. now get dressed for bed. we have a big day tomorrow and you will need all the rest you can get." with that she walked out of the room closing the door behind her. I looked around and let myself smile once more. this was mine. stripping out of my clothes I laid down and drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

Artimis P.OV

I closed the door to Ravenna's room and quickly walked away before tears could escape my eyes. Zeus had told me she had a hard life and she would need a friend but never did I imagine that the poor girl never had a room to actually call her own sense she was six! walking out of the house I quietly made my way to Zeus. I needed to know why we didn't pull her out earlier. entering the castle like structure I quickly made my way to Zeus study. upon entering I saw Zeus, Hera, Hades, Poseidon and Nyx.

"I hope I'm not interrupting." I said as I entered fully into the room.

"not at all Artimis. how would you say she is handling Olympus so far?" Zeus spoke making the others turn their heads to me.

"uh she seems to be doing fine...though I wish we would have brought her sooner."

"and why is that?" this time it was Hades who asked. my skin crawled just hearing him talk. king of death and terror was definitely fitting for him. ignoring him I looked at Zeus

"Zeus you never said anything about her living in a dungeon for thirteen years....she was in tears just to have a room to call her own in my place. I'm not sure how she will react when she finds out she has her very own mansion along with the title of goddess." he and Nyx sighed as the other gods looked taken aback with the new knowledge.

"Zeus why would you hide this from us? what else has the child gone through?" Poseidon asked starting to loose his temper while Hades pinched the bridge of his nose and Hera looked at Zeus accusingly. Nyx was the one to respond though.

"I gave him strict orders not to meddle in Ravenna's life until she turned nineteen. that is why he didn't send for her sooner." her strict voice rang out making darkness fall ever so slightly in the room. for a goddess of darkness she sure was terrifying. her black hair darker then the night, pale skin with slender body shape and symmetrical features made her blood red eyes pop out. a simple red gown to match her eyes summed up the Creator of vampires and now fallen angel.

"why would you tell him that Nyx? do you know that poor girl is covered in bruises and scars? we could have prevented that from happening!" I all but screamed at the goddess. titan or not Ravenna was to pure for that. Nyx shook her head at my outburst and turned to Zeus.

"I would like to see my child now." for zeus to nod his head.

"I believe we all would like to see your child Nyx." he spoke standing up and looking at me.

"Artimis I will explain to you later about what is going on but I need you to take us to where Ravenna is." grumbling under my breath I let the asshole gods to Ravenna who was sleeping peacefully in the bedroom when we arrived. opening the door I finally saw her black wings. making a small inaudible gasp i walked forward letting the other gods enter the room behind me. she was beautiful.

thick golden hair fell around the pillow, her pale skin glowing in the moonlight. her straight nose, perfect lips, and soft face made one hypnotized to her. looking down where part of the blanket had fallen off from her I was able to see deep scars running along her torso and upper arms. it was like she had fought many battles even though she never had. I felt tears well up in my eyes at the girl laying in bed. she is so young to have gone through the hardship she had went through. Nyx appeared next to me looking at the girl who was in a deep sleep.

"at least tonight she is in a dreamless sleep." she spoke almost tiredly. I turned at looked at her with a raised eyebrow. she chuckled. "I did not just hand over my daughter to the mortal realm. I made sure her nightmares never came Artimis. you may think of me as you will but I never abandoned her." she whispered while still staring at Ravenna and gently strokes her hair away from her face. the other gods stayed silent as well all watched her.

"Nazareth. come out and give me the report you collected for Ravenna." Nyx spoke just as a shadowed entity stepped away from a corner nearly giving the rest of us a Heart attack. the shadow spoke but looking at the other gods they couldn't understand what it was saying either. Nyx on the other hand nodded with a grave expression. whatever the shadow said it was not great news. "you may go nazerath. make sure to give my daughter the report when she wakes." she turned and we all followed her out of the room hoping she would tell us what the shadow said. she sighed as well reached the first floor of my mansion and plopped herself onto one of my couches unceremoniously. we all looked at each other and back at her as she summoned a drink to her hand. after a could of sips I had enough

"OK Nyx spill. what did the shadow say?" Hera looked down at me but I didn't care. we all wanted to know yet no one was going to ask so I may as well. she sighed and set her drunk on the table. turning to face us she shook her head.

"Johnathon knows she is here." was all she said. a deep look of horror adorned all of our faces. he knows?!? I turned and was about to run to Ravenna's room when Nyx grabbed my hand. when did she stand up? "leave her. she is fine Artimis. no one is going to get into that room that isn't a god." she spoke softly lightly squeezing my wrist.

" easy for you to say! Johnathon almost killed us Nyx. yet you're saying the shadows will protect her? please. I need to get her somewhere safer." I started pleading to her as she shook her head.

"Ravenna needs to learn how to protect herself. she has learned much already but she needs more.' she turned to Zeus 'have Ares and Athena train her in the art of war. when she has completed their training send her to the mortal realm and have her train from the vampire twins and Selene's werewolves. if she is to be prepared for the prophecy this must be done now." Zeus nodded and left with Hera quickly to go and let Ares and Athena know. I looked at the goddess before me. I really hope she has faith in what she's saying because I sure as hell don't.
