Yun Meiyi's words came softly but the disappointment it held in it was enough to pierce his soul. At once getting up, he tried to defend himself. "Meiyi, I know things went a bit out of the line but this isn't as bad as you think. We can fix this now that you are here."

"Not as bad as I think? Then what would be worse, Li Teng? Care to explain to me, please." Yun Meiyi's fists clenched but still keeping her calm at their best, she asked.

Li Teng knew he had spoken things in too much hurry. So, raising her hands to accept his mistake, he said, "Okay, I know. The fault has been on my side. But believe me, I didn't do it on purpose. I just failed to look over things properly. I believed people around too much and too easily."

He said and his words brought back the memories that Yun Meiyi got recently but she was trying her best to bury away from her thoughts.

Yun Meiyi raised her brows but then shook her head, "That would not matter since even after pushing the blame on your shoulders I may not be able to make things right. So, let's not think about that. For now, we have to change things back." She said and understanding her words, Li Teng nodded.

"And you are not planning to fire the three straight away?" It was not tough to see through her ways. If she really wanted to fire them off, instead of coming on as a manager, she would have revealed herself to be the CEO of Feathering Heights. But since she abstained from that, it only meant that it was not the proper time.

Yun Meiyi nodded, "Mhm. This is not just about one person here. The whole company is involved in the mistreatment. And on top of that, two major faces of Feathering Heights are closely involved. Vice President, Wen Jiang, and the best manager of the company, Cheng Juan. So, if things get out, it could cause us losses. We won't make money, that's still fine, but the loss isn't. "You already have one on the top floor." Li Teng said on instinct. But at his mention of that, Yun Meiyi turned to look at him with a smile as she corrected.

"That room is for the CEO of Feathering Heights, President Li. I am just a manager who will start working tomorrow. Do you think it would be wise enough for me to take the chair of the CEO?" She said, and Li Teng was taken aback by her smile.

Dumbfounded for a moment, he quickly shook his head and stood up. "I understand, I will prepare another room and will let you know," he said, easing the small waver of feeling he had at the back of his mind.

Yun Meiyi hummed and then left. Behind, seeing her finally leave, Li Teng took a deep breath in and calmed himself out. This would be going to be tough now that she would be around. He gave a mental reminder before pulling out his phone to dial a number.

"Prepare an office room for Manager Yun. She will be joining from tomorrow."
