When Lin Su Yi saw Yun Meiyi pause at her words, she thought she had won the battle. But the very next second, her expression changed when ignoring all her warnings as thin air, the girl walked towards the exit.

"Hey, Meiyi, are you sure you want to sever the ties with the Yun family? Do you think you will be able to survive on your own? Dream on! Although you hold several capabilities, still you would be nothing without the Yun family name." She called in a berserk manner but Yun Meiyi has long shut her senses towards them.

Walking out of the mansion she did not bother to even turn around to spare a glance at them.

While inside, after getting the blatant ignorance, Lin Su Yi's fury knew no bounds. "How dare she walk like that? Did she think that she has become capable overnight? Let me see how long she could live with that arrogance. When her pocket runs out, she would surely be coming back. At that time, let me see how she gets in here."

She said and feeling his presence of no use any longer, the butler walked away to do his work first. Later he would find a way to inform the Old Master about it. After all, he can't let her survive on her own. That would be more than unfair to her.

Once the butler was gone, the silver line of strength on which Yun Jiaqi was holding on gave up and she slumped on the sofa behind her. "Ma, what would we do now? Meiyi had gone even after we tried to hold her here for so long, but she still left. What should we do now?"

When Lin Su Yi saw her daughter losing all her strength like that, she went to comfort her. "Silly girl, why are you losing your patience yet? Don't overestimate that girl. She has just been a parasite living off the Yun family all these years. Do you think she can survive without us for longer? She has no one to rely upon and with no one in her support, in just a few days she would come back running to us."

She said but Yun Jiaqi simply shook her head. "No, Ma. You have underestimated her. That's not how things are for her?"

"What do you mean?" The mother frowned. To which, the girl explained.

"Ma, she is not as alone as we think. She might have someone that we are unaware of." Yun Jiaqi said but then paused in between her words to find the right way to explain as she continued, "Ma, I wanted to say this to you back in the room itself but you left. Yun Meiyi is not alone. Yesterday night when we planned to humiliate her, there appeared a man who saved her from it. He looked really mysterious and his aura was also quite strong. Although none of us knew who he was, Meiyi looked quite close to him. He even took her away in his arms with everyone watching around."

Hearing her say that, Lin Su Yi's frown deepened. "How is that even possible? She never left the place and I have always made sure that she doesn't get time to make capable friends outside. Then how come suddenly someone appeared to her rescue?" She said, not believing but when she saw the firm face of her daughter, she had no other option but to believe her.

After all, other than that, there seems no other sense behind Yun Meiyi's arrogance.

While at the same time, outside, Yun Meiyi has been waiting for a cab. But even after trying for more than ten minutes, the cab service app was showing no available rides nearby. Giving up on cab service, she was about to give a call to Liu Si Si to ask her to arrange something for her but then a car came to stop just in front of her, making her halt in her movements for a moment.

Her brows arched up but then she walked a step away, giving him the way to drive away. But to her surprise, the car didn't drive away, rather came again to stop beside her. Yun Meiyi scowled at the driver as she tried to see who was behind the window. But due to the black screen on the glass and strong sunlight, nothing was visible.

So, to get a better view, she leaned down to check, and right when she would have drawn close to the glass of the car, the window winded down leaving her face all close to the face of the handsome beauty with pretty amber eyes that seemed to have flames of fire trapped in it.

Yun Meiyi's breathing stopped at their sudden proximity. Her eyes met with his as she stared at him to ask, "You? Why are you here?" And then quickly stepped away to draw the distance between them. Coughing slightly, she cleared her throat so that next when she spoke, her voice didn't come as groggy as it has come now.

"Come and sit inside." The man said and Yun Meiyi raised her brows at him. To which he further added to say, "I want to have some talk with you. So, come and sit inside."

"But do we have anything to talk about? I remember I have already spoken my gratitude to you last time." She said but when she saw the man's nonchalant attitude towards her, she couldn't help but purse her lips to say, "What? You again don't have anything to say?"

The man kept his expression cool as he said, "I would answer all your questions but before that come and sit inside. We need to talk and then I will drop you at your place." He said and Yun Meiyi stared at him, still contemplating if she would buy his words or not.

Suddenly she saw the man turn his glance to look at the distance. She was about to turn to check what he was looking at but before she could, she heard him say, "There are two pairs of eyes looking at your moves at the moment. Believe me, it would be better to make them see you leaving with me."
