Lu Xifu stood and watched from behind. Her action and words amused her but he listened to her as if he was ready to accept all her conditions and requests.
"Did you hear me?" Yun Meiyi asked again, when she didn't hear him respond. Still not getting any affirmation, she turned around. And the moment she did, her step faltered, catching his presence at such a close proximity.
Although she knew that he was standing behind her, she never expected him to be there just behind her, not even an inch apart.
Bracing herself for hitting the mattress next, she was ready for the embarrassment. But before any of that could happen, his arms wrapped around her, keeping her held mid-air.
