Ravager

Honestly, I would've loved to drop some spoilers here about the story, but I realized that the first-three chapters are enough to get you glued to your phones. So, you might as well dive straight in; after all, the early chapters are always free, so there's no harm in trying, right? You want drama? betrayal? dark secrets? And to make it more enticing, twisted love? Then you will find it all in here. ------------------------------ ‘Did he ask you to get me?’ She asked with an expression full of expectations. ‘No, he left.’ I hated being the bearer of bad news, but the cold water had to be poured. I watched her drop her phone and start the engine with trembling hands and a depressed sigh. *** I wondered what would have happened if Nate had never raped anyone. I wondered how his love for the crime grew. I wondered what will become of my brother after his jail sentence. ***

Mourning Till Daybreak

'Kassy please come back.' Dad said.

His voice was firm. I knew I had to go back to him mostly because I was not ready to see my mum lying cold on a table.

'What happened to them?' I turned around and looked at the three faces in the reception.

'Kassy, please come.' Dad said.

I walked to him and hugged him again. I wanted the comfort of being in his arms.

'What happened to mum?' My voice was muffled because I was leaning into his shoulder.

'The police say it was brake failure but further investigation is going to be done.' He said.

'What am I going to do?' Alicia leaned more on Bryan.

'Mummy.' Kolin tapped Alicia.

I walked to him and picked him up. He did not know what was going on and I wanted it to remain that way.

'Sweetie.' She reached out and brushed her hand over his cheek.

'Mummy, let's go home it's getting kinda cold here.' Kolin said.

'You're right, Kolin. Let's all go home.' Dad said.
