After eating his breakfast, Noah said, "Wake everyone, we will start magic training." Saeko nodded.
Though she did not show it in her expression, she was excited. Magic was a completely new concept for her and for others. They would have never thought that one day they would be learning something fictional like magic.
"Are you really going to teach them?" Suddenly he heard Tanya's voice from his behind. She was wearing her sleeping trousers. Her hair was messy as she rubbed one of her eyes.
'Cute~,' Noah thought as he looked at her.
"Did you think I was joking? After all that demonstration?"
Tanya yawned and poured herself a glass of warm water, "I thought you were playing with them, taking your past records in mind."
She thought he was just playing with them since she knew he was a sadist.
Noah looked at her with a blank face and opted not to answer since he knew her answer already.
"Anyway, last night, I found out that this world has exceeded saint class and has entered king class. We can become stronger now."
Tanya's sleeping expression vanished as she seriously looked towards him, "Is the king class the limit?"
Noah nodded.
Tanya did not say anything and continued her breakfast that Saeko had made.
---
"Well, how are you guys doing?" Noah asked smilingly as he sat on top of a roof, gazing at them, who were standing on the ground.
Takashi and his group looked towards him and nodded, "Quite fine. Thanks to you, we did not have to fight more zombies in this area, for the time being." Takashi said.
Noah waved his hand, "Don't mint, don't mind~. Since you all are healthy, then that means you can take my training."
They become active. They really wanted to learn magic, and for that, they needed to put their all effort.
Seeing them, listening to him with their all attention, Noah smiled. He remembered his days when he used to teach troops in his old world before he was sent to the front lines.
But since he did not have any spiritual energy, he was their martial arts and physical strength trainer, which made his training harder for a weak-willed person.
He would accept a thousand students every year, and the only dozen would pass barely. Mostly left mid-way or died.
Thinking here, smirk forms on his face. Takashi's group shuddered when they gazed at his smirking face. They thought that they have signed for something quite bad.
"Since you are going to be my students and me, your trainer. If you have any complaints, you can leave. If you do not have a strong will to learn magic, then you can leave. Since my training is not for a child. You all would beg for me to stop."
Takashi's group gulped their saliva. Even though Noah did not release any form of pressure, they felt tremendous pressure dropping on them. This was the pressure of a veteran soldier who has gone through many wars.
They could tell that Noah has seen much more than them, but such thoughts made them confused since Noah was just a ten years old child and not an old veteran soldier.
Seeing as no one left, Noah nodded and said, "Very well then, we will start the training."
"What about Alice-chan?" Kohta asked. He has not seen her anywhere, which made him worried about her.
"You do not have to worry about her. She will be training with Tanya." Noah said.
"But she is just a child. Is it okay for her to train since it would be hard for her?" Kohta said, worriedly.
Listening to Noah, he could tell that the training is going to be hard as hell. He was anxious if something happened to her.
"Tanya and I learned magic when we were four while Alice is seven. You do not have to worry. Pay your attention to what I am going to teach and stop worrying about others." Kohta though reluctant nodded.
Seeing it, Noah nodded and said, "First, we will start with the basics of basics, spiritual energy. Spiritual energy is intangible energy that cannot be seen with the naked eye, no matter what. Out first step includes the training of this energy. To train this energy, all one needs to do is…" after that, Noah started to explain to them about the origin of spiritual energy and how to train them.
There were many ways to train on spiritual energy from his world. He was telling them the most basic one out there. Not that he was being petty, but it was the easiest one to learn with the limited time they had.
If they want to learn something more advance, then they should make one.
---
"That is all you guys need to know about spiritual energy and mana. Now we will start our practical training." Noah said.
They became excited, but their expression did not change.
"We will start then, Takashi, you come here," Noah said as he motions him to move towards him.
Takashi nodded and went close to him. He was standing in front of Noah when Noah made a small golden energy ball on the tip of his finger and inserted it into Takashi's chest.
Suddenly, a soul-wrenching pain crossed through his body as he started to scream loudly. But thankfully, Noah has placed sound barriers around as not to let zombies attack here.
"Takashi!!" Rei shouted and wanted to run close to him, but Noah appeared before her and pressed the same ball of energy into her chest.
She felt the same pain and screamed, falling on the ground, same as Takashi.
Seeing this, Saeko, Saya, Kohta sweated hard. They wanted to help them, but their eyes fell upon Noah, who was looking towards them with a gentle smile.
Though he looked cute, for them, he looked nothing more than a devil watching his prey.
A moment later, everyone was on the ground screaming at the top of their lungs. They never felt this kind of pain before, it felt like someone was slowly but forcibly taking their bones out of their bodies while at the same time injecting them with thousands of needles.
Noah watched them without any shred of sympathy, "This is the start of your spiritual energy. You guys have two hours before you learn spiritual energy. If not, your soul will disintegrate, and you guys will die, so try hard to found and learn spiritual energy as fast as possible."
When they heard him, their faces become pale. When Noah said his training will be hell, they thought he means metaphorically, but who knew that it would be literally hell and that they would die in two hours if they did not found the solution – which in their case was spiritual energy.
Their screams kept resounding in the surroundings, but because of the sound barrier, no zombie was attracted towards them.
Noah looked at them with a neutral face. The method that he was using on them was the fastest method to learn about spiritual energy in his word, but also the method that has taken the life of many trainees.
Noah ignored their screaming. He went to a boulder and sit on hit – started to train his spiritual energy.
He was already close to reaching the Half-Step King Realm. He was also probing the orb by sending his consciousness in it. He could feel that orb was trying to communicate with him, but he was too weak to do that.

Tanya was looking at Alice, who was sitting in a lotus position and was training her spiritual energy. Since Alice was only seven years old, she did not need to go through a torturous method of learning; it was a method to integrate spiritual energy forcefully inside a person's body and let them train spiritual energy with it as a base.
But Alice was a child and could create her own spiritual energy – using it as the base.
'Yawn* This is life~. Doing nothing but just lazy lying around.' Tanya thought as she lazily checks Alice's condition, seeing as nothing was wrong with it – Tanya looked towards the other side of the river.
She could see clusters of zombies roaming around. Her expression turned disgusting seeing them. She really did not like these mindless pieces of flesh, walking and eating other humans.
She wanted to eradicate them but was too lazy to do. She thought to leave it for the humans of this world.
'Sigh* Being lazy can be a sin, too…' She thought.
She laid down on the grass looking at the clear sky, closing her eyes, she went to sleep.
Tanya felt that this was the best way to live one's life, without the constant worrying of your future and judging eyes of society. 'To be honest, it is not a bad world.'

Noah opened his eyes and looked at the sweat socked bodies lying on the floor, breathing heavily.
Two hours have passed since he has ejected his spiritual energy inside their bodies. He has told them that they would die if they could not find a way to learn spiritual energy within two hours, though barely, they made it.
But they were tired beyond belief. They could not even lift a finger right now, much less continue their training.
Noah clapped and said, "Congratulation! You have passed the first test and learned spiritual energy!"
Takashi's group moved their eyes and looked towards Noah with resentfulness. They could not believe that he would use such a tyrannical method that almost took their lives.
"Do not look at me like that; it was you guys who wanted to learn about magic, I completed your wishes, you know," Noah said with a face as if he was being wrong here.
Everyone rolled their eyes. But they knew what he said was the truth as they have asked him to teach them about magic.
"Well, anyway, we will start the next session of our training."
They almost puked blood hearing him.
"We are too tired, both physically and mentally, to do that!" Takashi could barely produce a sound, but he still tried his best to convey his message.
Noah smiled sweetly, "Do not worry. Who do you think I am? There are many methods to rejuvenate your health to a peak."
Hearing him, they wanted to cry, but no tears left their eyes. A large circle bloomed beneath them, covering them.
<Heal>
Noah said. Soon, everyone felt their energies returning back to their bodies. They felt refreshed. They stood up and checked their bodies, and to their astonishment, they could feel that their bodies have become stronger.
Not only that, but their perception has also become stronger. They could see the extra mile ahead now.
"This… is incredible," Saya said, feeling the changes on her body. She never felt this… free. It was as if the burden that she was carrying was finally lifted.
"It is not surprising, since spiritual energy not only strengthens your soul – resulting in better perception and vision – but also your body and consciousness. It is all rounded energy." Noah said.
He was quite satisfied by them since most people would die by the method that he has used on them, not that he was going to tell them that.
"Now that you have recovered, we can start the second phase of the training – Absorption!" Noah conveyed to them.
"Absorption?" Saeko tilted her head in confusion.
Nodding, Noah said, "That is right, Absorption. Just like the name said, one would absorb spiritual energy from his surroundings. In a world, everything – from the tiniest atom to the biggest bodies – possesses spiritual energy. The second phase includes the absorption of spiritual energy from these 'objects'."
"Does everything contains spiritual energy? Even the inanimate objects?" Saya asked. Since Noah said that spiritual energy is directly connected with the soul, she was wondering if inanimate objects also have souls.
Noah started to walk in circles around them as he said, "Of course, even inanimate things possess spiritual energy. But that does not mean that they have souls. When a person spends a certain time with an inanimate object, their spiritual energy 'glues' on that object. In short, the energy that the inanimate object possesses is the energy of its user or owner."
Standing in front of Saya, he continued, "But the spiritual energy that you are absorbing from the surroundings is the energy of micro-organisms. They possess a very minuscule amount of spiritual energy, but their abundant numbers make up for it. Though most magicians only absorbed spiritual energy at phase two and would cultivate their own energies as that is purer."
Everyone heard with great attention as it was a completely new concept to them.
"Since we are clear with the subject, start absorbing the energy," Noah said and went back to the boulder and continued his cultivation.
Others seeing that he has left, also sat down and started to absorb energy from their surroundings.
