2 Chapter 2 Her Reason

"Sorry I scared you! I didn't get your name, hehe."

"Nice to meet you! Hehe. I'm Seung Ah Yoon! Hehe."

~Chapter 2

'Wha- What should I say?'

Joon-Woo Choi, 17 - first time being approached by a girl. Being shy and antisocial he didn't have any friends for a long time and used Random Chat. No one wanted to hang out with him as they all saw him as a loser. He has very average looks, dark hair which covers his forehead, ice blue eyes and the vibe he gave off made him look even more like a loser. The fact that he is extremeley nervous and stutters a lot doesn't make it any better. His physique also isn't anything to be necessarily proud of but he does have some nice feminine features like his hands. During school he wears his uniform which consists of a blue blazer, pants, a tie and a white shirt beneath. Out of school he sticks to casual clothing.

Seung Ah still looked at him, waiting for Joon-Woo to say something.

'Calm down, Joon-Woo! Just don't screw it up by saying something stupid. Act natural! Use some common sense!

"Oh... uh... um, hi"

Silence.

'What do I do now?! The only female I ever talked to is my mom.'

"Hey, you know?" He got surprised when she suddenly said something. "Uh... huh? What?" he asked while still acting like a scaredy cat.

"Um, you seem super nervous. We're in the same class, but I still don't know your name! Can you tell me your name??"

"Oh I'm- I'm Joon-Woo Choi. Nice- nice meeting you!!" Another sign of his nervousness was his body language. He was touching his neck and bringing his other arm to his chest, something humans only do if they're uncomfortable or stressed.

"It's nice meeting you, Joon-Woo" she said as the classroom door opened and more students started coming in. It were two guys talking about games. "Can we please practise your aim? Being your back up sucks.

"No, it's just that the kid yesterday was really good!!" - "Yeah Mr. I suck at aiming. Deadass nasty yo."

They stared at each other. 'This bastard', Mr I suck at aiming thought. Then, they noticed Seung Ah und Joon-Woo. While Joon-Woo was just awkwardly standing there Seung Ah was already on her way to her seat.

"What are they doing?"

"I don't know. Probably doing chores."

Joon-Woo looked a little dumbfounded. 'Ah... the first friend I made in high-school... is a girl from Random Chat.'

First period... Math.

Joon-Woo's phone was buzzing.

'It's Seung Ah! Why's she texting me now?'

[Hey I tried to say hi before. Lol but I don't know his name, so awkward after calling out to him lolol]

*[Really? Lololol hey still thanks to me you made a new friend at the start of the year. Good to make friends lol]

He thought he was surrounded by sunflowers as the thought of a new friend made him happy.

[? No? I didn't the other kids to see so I bolted lolololol why would I make friends with him? Lols]

There goes his blooming fantasy, put him right back into his place.

'For real??!! You said to get along!!'

*[So cruel... lololol]

He sighed. 'Way to make a first impression.'

[No lolol can't just make friends without knowing anything lol]

*[Yep, guess so]

'Well, we greeted each other for the first time today. It hasn't been long since we've been assigned rooms.'

[It's the start of the school year so I don't know the kids well TTT

Oh yeah, you asked me why I do this yesterday] (Referring to using Random Chat)

*[Yeah it's not because you're bored?]

[Nope hehe]

*[Then why...?]

'Yeah, I was curious yesterday. Why would a girl like her do Random Chat?'

He was a little surprised when he saw the reply.

[Lol I want to get some advice on dating... Lolol]

*[?????]

"This'll be on the test", the math teacher said to the class but he didn't pay attention.

'Dating advice?! From me?!'

For the fourth period they had P.E and the boys played soccer. Something Joon-Woo sucked at.

'Damn it. I suck at soccer. Why do they make me play?'

Completely dazed he just watched them play.

'And make me play goalie to boot... Anyhow, dating advice. Is it because she doesn't want to ask people around her?'

He took a look at Seung Ah who was sitting on a bench talking to her friends.

'It's not like she doesn't have friends to ask. Why can't she just ask one of them?'

'Maybe because she likes someone in her class.'

"....!"

"Hey!!"

"Hey!!! Joon-Woo!! You fucker!! You deaf?!"

He didn't notice the ball being right in front his foot sunken in those thoughts of his.

'When did the ball-' Tae Yang interruped his thinking by shouting at him. "Hurry up and kick it. The goalie shouldn't just stare off into space!!!"

'Aish! I suck at kicking. They're going to be pissed at me either way.'

"Oh sorry! I'll kick it!"

'Ok, I'll kick it. You bastard.'

"That jerk is always so fucking slow."

Full of frustration Tae Yang's mates agreed. Joon-Woo had the ball in his hands as Tae Yang turned around and... Bang!

Hit the back of his head. Joon-Woo realized he messed up. Badly. A lot of people made fun of him getting his head smashed with a ball.

"Omg haha", "Did someone get hit?", What was his name?", "Hahahaha", That must hurt bad hahaha"

Tae Yang touched the back of his head. "Aaargh! Fuck." In rage he walked over to Joon-Woo who tried to apologize to him while shielding his face. "I'm s- sorry, Tae Yang!!!" - "Shut the fuck up."

"Really, I didn't do that on purpose!!! I'm real sorry!!"

Tae Yang was pissed off and his eyes once again had that red glow to them.

"Fuck, you taking me for a fool?"

He got closer to Joon-Woo. "N- no, I don't think you're a fool. It was really just a mistake."

Unfortunately, this didn't stop Tae Yang from making a fist and lunging at Joon-Woo who closed his eyes in response to Tae Yang's anger.

'Damn. I'm dead!!'

"TAE YANG!!"

In last second, he stopped his punch. Both Joon-Woo and Tae Yang seemed surprised.

"Stop it. It's not like he did it on purpose. Haha."

'Class rep!'

The class rep stepped between the two, putting his hands on Tae Yang's shoulders as he ranted. "No that bastard definitely did it on purpose!"

"Yo, haha. You think he's a professional or something? Aiming at your head from that far?"

'Dae Hyun Lim, Class Rep. He has a good personality, good grades and good social skills.'

"Think of my position as Class Rep", he said while having his arm around Tae Yang's shoulder guiding him away, who still angrily looked at Joon-Woo. "Haha we don't have much time. Let's play."

"Urg... Damn it. If it wasn't for you..."

Tae Yang walked away and the Class Rep turned around to face Joon-Woo. "You're Joon-Woo right...? Joon-Woo Choi."

"Huh? Uh, yeah? Th- thanks. Sorry to be a nuisance."

"No way! Not at all!", he said while shaking his arm making clear that Joon-Woo's wrong. "It's hard to be a goalie right? Haha just be a bit more careful!"

'He's the complete opposite of me.'

"Uh, oh. Ok! Th- thanks!", Joon-Woo said with a bit of relief. 'He's so cool. And nice at that! I'm so jealous. Anyway, did Seung Ah see this craziness?'

".....!"

He gazed upon her as she was blushing looking at someone. 'What's with that face? What's she looking at??'

'Ah ha', he let out a quick sigh and smirked a little. Seung Ah's eyes were sparkling as she gazed upon the Class Rep.

'I get it.'

'Is someone watching me?', the Class Rep thought.
