Rebellious Maidens - Episode 12

[The next day.....]

Maria had been working on rebuilding the town with several mechanical equipment that she herself had made months ago without Ragisis noticing or even knowing about it.

She had intended to create the same machineries and several blueprints she made for the purpose of rebuilding the town or creating several buildings that would help the town expand.

Due to the events that happened at this year, she felt proud and happy to be able to use her machinery freely without restriction.

So currently, she was operating the machinery to begin rebuilding the town into something of a modern one.

It normally should take a year and a half or two, but with said machineries, the time to do so is incredibly shortened to several months.

With enough materials, imported from Leazas, and a lot of budget, Custom will eventually become a modern town.

Aside from that, everything is going on smoothly. Ran is assisting on office work, and Mill was assisting in cheering the people up.

Maria figured she wouldn't be able to do this alone, so she required assistants.

And just in time, two people from inside the cavern had exited the place, and approached her.

"So, how's it going? You sure you can do all this alone?" Rance asked, in a slightly mocking tone as a grin slowly crept up his face.

"I'm doing fine...." Maria replied, before noticing that she definitely had nobody to assist her. Due to that, she grumbled. "... On second thought, I'm not sure actually. I needed some assistants, but I don't have that much confidence in inviting people in Custom to become my assistants."

Maria had sighed, doubts were enveloping her head, one of those doubts being that the people in Custom might still not trust her.

Though....

"I guess I can arrange that, you know, gathering people to become your assistants. I'll also be one of your assistants for two days, as I still have Shizuka to save." Rance spoke, and Maria gained a small, hopeful smile on her face.

"Err... thank you for that... I guess..." Maria replied, before she focused on her work on using mechanical devices to construct a building. "... Good thing I focused at an early enough time..." She muttered, sighing in relief.

Rance glanced at the blueprints sitting on a nearby desk, and dropped his smirk, crossing his arms below his chest.

"Master, I believe we can easily convince people to help her in building the new town." Sill spoke with determination on her tone, nodding her head with a smile.

"Hm, the only problem is who we could invite. The right persons could do the job more efficiently. That's why we'll have to look around for around an hour at best considering there are only around 400 or more people in the town behind us."

The two of them returned to the underground town, to look for several, specific people.

In their search, Rance used his [Reading Iris] to check up the skills of the people he sees so that he could know who he should pick to join Maria's squad.

They came across a girl with black hair and red eyes, and Rance decided to approach her due to his [Reading Iris] giving some information about the girl.

'Mechanics Level 1, Management Level 1 and a Class of Engineer, hm? She's a lucky find!' Rance thought, inwardly smirking as he stopped right beside her. The girl was doing absolutely nothing but sitting on a chair with an air of boredom while being deep in thought.

"Good morning!" Rance spoke, as the girl was suddenly brought out of her inward thoughts in surprise.

She looked at Rance, and gained a curious expression.

"Un, good morning to you too. What do you want?"

"Do you want to assist Maria Custard in rebuilding the Town of Custom into a newer, modern one? I've been looking for several people to assist her in doing so, but she and I will appreciate your help, just so you know that the town will be under the full light of the sun once again."

The girl nodded, and reconsidered what Rance spoke to her, before smiling with a new light on her eyes.

"I'll gladly do it, for the sake of this town! Though, I think you do need several more people to join in helping Maria, right?"

After a long while, Rance, Sill, and a group of 15 girls and 5 teenage boys exited the town and approached Maria.

"Maria, I've returned with some people that have potential in assisting you here." Rance spoke, as Maria temporarily stopped in her work.

She was surprised that he had gathered a group of twenty, even more than she had expected. What's also surprising is that Rance quickly returned with them earlier than expected.

"The last thing we need to do is making them learn how to use the tools you have here." Rance spoke, just before shrugging his shoulders.

After that, they began to assist Maria in her work. For only two days, Rance and Sill did more of the assistance to Maria, and already had one building more than halfway done.

Even so, after the second day passed, and the third day began, they were both called by Elenoir at Custom's office.

She must have something to tell them.
