Angel tears

'Ah!! This is the life. Nothing beats my favorite pasta.'

Right now I'm feeling sated after eating a myriad of delicacies placed on the table.

"Dearest? Would you like more? "

It seems this woman wants to see me explode. I cocked my head sideways to inform her of my desire to not take anything else.

"You sure?" Suzanne tilted her head a bit as she inquired. And in return, Dante nodded in response to her inquiry before grabbing a glass of water.

"Tell me Alfred, was my baby alone when you saw him?" Suzanne cocked her head towards the edge of the room where Alfred and a couple of maids stood still.

"Lord Dante wasn't alone Your Grace. I counted three little girls and a middle aged female in the house with him,"

Though when he was at Dante's abode, Alfred stood by the chariot that was placed outside while Dante was inside saying his farewell to the girls, still Alfred was able to discern the exact number of people inside the mansion with the limited amount of time Dante spent with the girls.

'As expected of a previous Gold rank adventurer,' Dante thought.

"Wow!! So he has three children. Good! Very good! That's my baby. We must certainly meet with his wife right away, " Suzanne nodded in astonishment by the amazing news that her son's wife had given birth to three children for him already.

'She must have certainly been a captivating woman for her to have bewitched my son into copulating with her for so long without my baby saying anything to me till now,' Suzanne thought as a new found fondness towards Dante's mysterious wife sprouted within her.

*Pfft!!*

"Uh?!! Wife?!" Dante eyes became dilated as he spat out the water he was drinking.

"Of course. You do have three children right?" Suzanne inquired while tilting her head a little.

"Yes but they are all adopted. Besides, Deena isn't my wife. Of course I would be glad if she was but... "

"Deena? Hmm. She must certainly be as divine as her name for you to be so timid to confess your feelings to her. "

"No, it's not that. It's just that she's an elf and since humans and elves can't produce children, I thought she would be better off marrying an elf just like her. "

"What nonsense. I told you before that there's no woman you can't claim after being blessed with....."

"Mom! Don't say it," Dante retorted bluntly.

"Fine!... You don't want to acknowledge your talent then stay quiet about it forever." Suzanne cocked her head away while pouting her lips in petty annoyance.

*Pfft.!!!*

Seeing his mother acting as a child, he couldn't help but chuckle at her cuteness.

"The truth is I don't think you have anything to worry about. Haven't you heard of Angel tears?" Suzanne quipped.

"Isn't that just an urban legend?"

"Nope! It isn't. That's because a friend of mine visited me a few weeks back and she told me that her friend whose sister just got married to a demi human recently got pregnant after helping a starving traveler who gifted her a vial of angel tears in return for her kind gesture."

"So you mean?" Dante's eyes became dilated in shock.

"Exactly. The traveler was an Ascension Angel, " Suzanne verified Dante's suspicion.

Wow!! Then it means there's nothing stopping us both from being together. Though I've decided to confess to her without being concerned about not being able to get her pregnant but still the reoccurring thoughts kept crawling into my mind. But now it seems I do not have to be worried anymore.

"Really?"

"That's right," Suzanne confirmed once more.

Ascension Angels are one of the two kinds of angels from the Angel realm with the other being the fallen Angels. Angels in this world are very scarce to come by. The chances of coming across an angel are close to none.

But still most angels are found in their realm which is called The Ascension Island and The Mother of Angels reigned supreme over there.

"So you see dearest, you've got nothing to worry about. In fact how about we bring them here huh?. Alfred? I would like to meet my baby's new wife and children, " Suzanne turned towards Alfred as she declared her words.

"Very well Your Grace," Hearing the duchess words, Alfred bowed deeply in return as he aimed for the exit before..

"No!! Wait!" Dante subconsciously stood up from his seat.

"Huh? What is it? Can't I see my lovely grandchildren? Moreover, how can you leave a woman to handle three children on her own. I raised you better than that you know,"

"I... It's not that. It's just, I have something I have to do first before introducing her to you mother. How about you bring all three girls and inform Deena of my desire to join her soon." Dante tried reasoning with his mother hoping she would understand what he meant.

"Very well then, " Suzanne glanced towards Alfred and nodded once again.

"Then, I'll be back shortly Your Grace, " Seeing that no further instructions was being delivered, Alfred bowed deeply to the nobles on their seats before finally heading towards the exit with two maids following right behind him.

"Son. I'll be waiting in the courtyard. Join me in a few minutes,"

My dad stood up from his seat and went straight to the courtyard. I wonder how he could move so freely after he just finished eating.

Glancing towards my mom, she stood up from her seat too and sauntered towards my ear before whispering a few words to me.

"Once you're done. I'll visit you later tonight,"

She said before heading away also. With nothing else to do, I too stood up and went straight to the courtyard.

It seems my dad had asked every servants to leave the vicinity which could only mean one thing. What my dad was about to tell me was really of the utmost importance.

"Oh good you're here. I'll go straight to the point then. I want you to become the next Emperor."

"Say what now?!"
