Beast-taming department

These dungeons would randomly appear at places that no one would expect and monsters would start to flood out of them, of course, these monsters would only be at beasts level or very low-class magic beasts, and the stronger ones would stay inside.

Dungeons had nine levels and the lower one went, the stronger the monsters they would encounter. Also, there are levels of dungeons; the level of dungeons is different from the number of levels in a dungeon as all dungeons have nine levels but not anyone can clear a level two dungeon or above.

There are five levels of dungeons and the one Damian and his classmates went to for their graduation test to become full second-year students was a level one dungeon.

Also, dungeons are a source of income for academies, hunters, and other factions as the monsters found in dungeons had a higher rate of dropping magic crystals which could be used as fuel for magic types of equipment and core energy for formations.

And vice versa, just like how dungeons are a source of income for a lot of magic organizations, they can also be a source of the downfall of cities. Imagine a level four or level five dungeon appearing in a small city where there was no mage who was at the Alpha mage rank, then the city was as good as gone!

So because of this, many organizations and academies would always be on the lookout for the appearance of dungeons and immediately lay claim over them or the city would issue a quest to the nearest guild for help.

"We were taken to a level one dungeon that is under the academy for our graduation test to become full second-year students, you guys will also do the same as well so better study hard" Damian ended his explanation there.

"I have heard a few things about dungeons as well but one thing always bothers me" Brown voiced out after listening to Damian's words.

"What is it?"

"Why would they keep the dungeon after clearing it? What's the use of an empty dungeon?" Brown asked.

"That's because a dungeon can infinitely respawn monsters that are killed there" Gustavo was the one who answered the question, displaying his high knowledge of dungeons as well.

"Correct, correct" Damian nodded continuously with a proud grin on his face.

They resumed eating, another couple of minutes passed and the group had almost finished everything on their table. Alex was shocked by his own appetite.

Meanwhile, a certain someone was getting really bored just eating and watching everyone eating.

'How should I spice things up?'

Vee thought to himself but could not think of a good way to do so.

"Hmm, by the way, have you guys thought of any jobs yet? I believe you guys must have been informed about this. Of course, I'm saying this for the rest of you; I believe that Gustavo will easily make it into the ranking. He's in the special class after all. Right, Vee?" Damian had a smug smile on his face as he stared at his little brother; he didn't know about Gustavo changing his name and kept calling him Vee.

Gustavo did not respond and looked away while clicking his tongue in annoyance.

" As a matter of fact brother Damian, we are also in the special class" Torie said with a calm face.

" What? You all are in the special class? I can understand this kid with two elements getting in, and you, you are cute and talented so getting it should be easy" Damian said as he stared at Alex and Torie before moving his eyes to Milan and the others " But how did they get in?" He acted shocked and in doubt.

Milan's face turned ugly at Damian's remark but he did not say anything, the other party was a senior student and also a Noble mage; swallowing the insult didn't hurt at all!

"So you guys are the special class students? Such a bunch of freaks indeed, our instructor said the students in the special class were monsters and we had to work hard if we wanted to compete for the ranking with you guys" Brown clicked his tongue jokingly before turning to Helen.

" Hey, four eyes, which class are you in?" He asked, his question directed to Helen.

The girl with glasses glared at him.

" I am not four eyes! I only wear them because I want to! Besides, I am also in the special class!" Helen snapped in response and Brown, as well as his two followers revealed aghast expressions.

" You are also in the special class? How is that possible? I'm clearly stronger than you!" Brown gritted his teeth, unwilling to accept this.

"Boss's friends are all from the special class!"

"So cool right? We can brag about this tomorrow!"

Brown only calmed down after hearing his two followers whispering to each other.

'Hmm, it's not too bad if I really think about it'

Indeed, not too bad at all!

"Are you guys done? Then you can answer my question" Damian interrupted after being ignored by these kids.

"We haven't thought of anything yet," Gustavo answered.

Damian stared dubiously at him "Did I ask you? Why are you answering?" Though he looked away and continued after Gustavo shot him a glare "Anyway, if you guys haven't given it a thought or are still finding it difficult to conclude, how about coming to our beast-taming department? You can learn a thing or two about beast taming before you enter your second year and even get a tamed beast like my rooster dragon"

Alex and the rest were pleasantly surprised by the offer, their faces could not hide the excitement that they felt just thinking of owning a tamed beast.

'Hold on! Gustavo said his Dad gave Damian the rooster dragon and Damian is telling them that they could own a tamed beast if they join the beast taming department. What's the connection of their father with the academy and the beast-taming department?' Vee thought to himself.
