Only once I'd drained it did I realize the cup he'd given me was actually a goblet of wood engraved with gold. Then I remembered I'd been stuck in a virgin sacrifice dress without a bra and casually folded my arms across my chest.

"This is where you tell me why you kidnapped me," I said, still a bit croaky.
