CHAPTER 3

Chapter 3:

*OLIVER'S P.O.V.*

I just got to school when I heard Veronica's sarcastic remark. I knew it wouldn't bother Alice, so I continued walking away. Everything got ruined when Victor blocked her way. I thought when she asked him to leave, he would but he didn't budge, so I decided to wait and watch. I was so angry when I saw they were still there. I knew he wanted to mock her in front of everyone, so I went there without giving it a thought.

"Victor, she said get out of her way," I said firmly. He replied me and slapped my shoulder. "Did you just touch me?" I asked him.

"Yes, I did. So what?" That statement made my blood boil; before I knew it, I had already punched him. And it was hard, cause his lips got busted. I felt someone touch my arm, "Hey Oliver, please don't fight him." I saw her beside me, and it made my heart skip a beat. Yes, I loved her, but I couldn't let her know. She just had to crush on this dimwit.

"Alice, let go now," I spoke to her harshly. Victor came forward, and I pushed Alice away and punched him again. I had been waiting for this day all my life. He punched me, and I kicked him in the stomach; he came forward wanting to retaliate, so when he came with his leg aiming for my stomach, I caught his leg, pulled him a bit, twisted his leg, and bent it to his back. That was the end of the fight 'cause he was getting up no more, so I bent to his level and whispered in his ear, "Don't you DARE mess with her again."

After saying that, I took Alice's hand and left for class with her. On our way to class, she spoke, "Why did you do that? You want to be suspended. He must have broken a few bones, and you felt no remorse. Are you..." Before she could say anymore, I cut in.

"Will you shut up. Whether I get suspended or not is none of your business. I just saved your ass back there, and instead of saying thank you, you are here telling me scolding me."

She talks too much, and I needed to shut her up, or she won't stop talking.

*ALICE'S P.O.V.*

I don't get why he is giving me such an attitude, and here he is holding my hand and taking me to class like a baby.

"Why did you do that? You want to be suspended. He must have broken a few bones, and you felt no remorse. Are you..."

As I ranted, he just suddenly shut me up, and as annoying as he sounded, he was right. So I succumbed.

"Thank you."

I said sheepishly. He looked at me again, and before he could say anything again, I said, "And I'm sorry, please don't be mad at me." He was my best friend and only true friend I had because all the others were fakes. He was a year older than me though, but he never looked at our age difference. He still cared for me in his own way, but he was mostly harsh.

"I don't understand why you had to fall for that dimwit anyway," I heard him mumble. I stopped walking and held him.

"Did you hear that?" he asked looking a bit guilty.

"Yes." I replied.

"I..." Before he could say anything, I spoke.

"Look Oliver, people don't choose who they want to fall for, it just happens. I never knew they all wanted to trick me by pretending to be nice, I...I just fell for the wrong person and I and paying for that now, but that doesn't mean you should blame me for what happened this..." as I spoke, Oliver suddenly yelled.
