|one week later|

Hope and Sosuke are walking up to school holding hands as some students run past them after throwing toilet paper all around the outside of the school.

A cop car then pulls up and parks, a brunette middle aged police officer stepping out of it.

"What do you think this is?" the woman asks expectantly, suggesting they might have been involved in the prank.

"Toxic masculinity resulting in a bad prank?" Hope replies.

"They didn't do it. They are Timberwolves not Stallions." Maya informs the officer while stepping out of the back of the police car.

"Maya? What did you do?" Hope asks surprised to see her in a cop car.

"Nothing. This is my mother." Maya answers, Ethan stepping out of the car from the other side.

"Our mother." The boy corrects his sister.

"Are you two ever apart? I haven't seen you by yourself since you started here a week ago." Ethan asks the couple.

"Uhh." Sosuke stammers, actually thinking about it.

"Anyways, see you around guys." Ethan tells them before the two siblings head into the school.

"Could either of you show me where I can find Principal Saltzman?" The police officer asks Hope and Sosuke.

"Sure, follow us." Sosuke says and the three head inside as well, leading their friend's mother to the principal's office before Hope uses an invisibility spell and heads into the office along with the woman, while Sosuke is sitting down on a bench in front of the office, contemplating Ethan's comment.

Meanwhile inside the office the Sheriff Machado is lightly flirting with Alaric while asking him about a kid that went missing near the Salvatore school and some missing dogs.

Alaric promises to look into the kid and informs her that he hadn't heard anything about the dogs.

When she leaves, Sosuke promptly enters the office.

"Why would you listen in on us Hope?" Alaric asks the girl who drops her invisibility spell and is sitting on his chair while he is standing beside his desk.

"She is totally into you." Hope only replies teasingly.

"Have any of you heard something about a missing kid or any monsters around the Salvatore school?" Alaric asks.

"Nah, can't say I have." Sosuke replies, Hope also shaking her head.

"Well we should check it out. Any ideas on how to do that without alerting our old student body?" Alaric asks.

"Just one and we're not gonna like it." Hope answers.

"What is it?" Alaric asks.

"The Stallions and the Timberwolves have their annual football match today." Hope tells the two.

"Then we've got no choice." Alaric says nodding, being somewhat glad to get to see his daughters again.

"Hope, you got a second?" Sosuke asks his girlfriend, nodding out of the office and the two head into the empty school hallway.

"What's up babe? Fearing the football match already?" She asks.

"Nothing like that. I was just thinking about what Ethan said. Do you think we've gotten too attached to each other? What were we like before you went into Malivore?" Sosuke asks, leaning against some lockers with her next to him.

"I guess we might be going a bit over the top at the moment to make up for the memory issue."

Hope replies nodding softly.

"Does it bother you?" She asks.

"On the contrary. But that's the issue. What if our desire to be close to each other interferes with our training and makes us vulnerable because we can't fight without the other anymore?" Sosuke says concerned.

"So you want us to spend less time together?" She asks slightly disappointed.

"Yes. I think we should." He says disappointed as well.

"So, how do we do this? We live together after all." Hope asks.

"We'll figure it out. And I don't think that our night activities together count as a problem." He tells her, pulling her in front of him by her waist and kisses her softly, Hope wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Break it off and let's go. We have to get you on that team. Though since one of their players is missing they'll probably be happy to have the extra manpower." Alaric tells them, pulling Hope off Sosuke and leads the two teens to meet up with their schoolmates.

Barely an hour later the Timberwolves school bus rolls up to the Salvatore school's football field.

"Here we are Timberwolves. Now to avoid last time's debacle I ask of you all to stay civil and play fair. We don't need another brawl." Alaric tells the team before leading them outside.

"Isn't that Sosuke and that girl he was smooching the other day?" Kaleb asks MG, Lizzy and Rafael, who got chosen to play Quarterback after Landon dropped out.

"Yeah. It would be hard to mistake her." Rafael says, looking at Hope interested with her having her hair in two braids framing her face, both her and Sosuke wearing the timberwolves uniform.

"Man, Sosuke's still our friend, he just got the boot because of some concerned parents." MG berates Rafael.

The Timberwolves then line up to greet the Stallions.

And Hope happens to be standing in front of Rafael.

"Are things serious between you and Sosuke?" The tall teen asks.

"Are you kidding? If they get any closer they'd be one person." Maya says, standing besides Hope and gives Rafael the stink eye.

"Thanks but I can handle it Maya." Hope says, nudging her friend.

"Still, I got your back girl." Maya tells her, making Hope smile.

"Why are you here?" Josie asks Sosuke, standing in front of him.

"Don't you worry. I'm not playing, I'm here because we heard there might be another monster around." Sosuke replies and the teams then head to their part of the field to warm up, Sosuke and Hope going over to Alaric.

"So what's the plan?" Sosuke asks.

"Well. One of you has to play and the other gets to go hunting a mythical creature with me." Alaric tells them.

Hope and Sosuke look at each other and she asks "Rock, Paper, Scissors?"

Sosuke nods and promptly wins the game of luck.

"Have fun out there and try not to kill our former classmates? Literally or figuratively." Sosuke tells Hope, giving her a kiss on her forehead.

"Yeah, yeah. Lucky bastard." She grumbles.

"Let's go." Sosuke tells Alaric and the two see Dorian waving them over and follow him to the study.

"Aren't you the kid that went missing?" Sosuke asks the Timberwolves player who went missing.

"Yes. I had him compelled so he could tell us clearly what happened. Please go ahead." Dorian says.

"I was at the mill, we were planning to graffiti that old building when I thought I heard a wolf but what I saw... It was half wolf, half hyena and big with large claws. I thought it was done for and it did have its maws around me but it spit me out and left." The teen informs them recalling the event.

"Any ideas?" Alaric asks Dorian.

"Closest thing I could find was..." Dorian starts to say.

"Shunka Warakin. Big ass tall because it can walk on its hindquarters and drools like a leaky faucet." Sosuke interrupts.

"He's right." Dorian says shrugging his shoulders and shows Alaric a drawing of the being in a book.

"It also says that it only eats werewolves." Dorian informs them.

"That explains a lot actually. And it'll make killing it easier for me." Sosuke tells them.

"What are we missing here?" Alaric asks.

"I hunted one shortly after getting tossed out of school. I needed money and some werewolves wanted it dead. I assumed it was because it was threatening to Stay on their land but now the big reward

makes sense." Sosuke tells them.

"You're certain you killed one like it before?" Alaric asks.

"Yes. So let me handle this on my own." Sosuke tells them.

"Ah fine, you say you're immortal anyways so what's the harm I guess." Alaric agrees.

Alaric and Sosuke then head out to the field just in time for the match to start as the new headmaster flips a coin and makes sure his school won with an illusion spell.

"Principal Saltzman, this might become difficult. The headmaster used magic just now and I think he told the students to do the same. So one mistake and this could end up in a blood bath." Hope informs Alaric.

"OK, try to keep our guys calm. I'll talk to my replacement." Alaric tells her.

"Wait. Aren't you going with Sosuke?" Hope asks, spotting her boyfriend heading into the woods.

"He said he can handle it. He hunted one of those monster before." Alaric informs her and goes over to the principal to confront him about his openness to use Magic.

Hope then rejoins the team and they have a hard first half against their magical opponent, losing against the Salvatore school. During the break a wolf's howl is heard in the woods.

"I need to go." Hope tells her teammates quickly and rushes off, over to Alaric.

"That was Sosuke's call. I need to help him." Hope says and hurries into the woods, Alaric trying to stop her to no avail.

"Sosuke, where are you!?" She shouts a few minutes later, waiting for any response from her lover as she quickly walks through the woods and hears him from nearby saying "Over here."

When she heads towards his voice however instead of Sosuke she sees a large wolf-like beast with pointy teeth and long claws standing on its hind legs while looking at her dangerously.

"What?" Hope asks herself, before a snout pokes her shoulder and she looks behind herself, seeing Sosuke in his large wolf form pushing her out of the way with his head before growling at the Shunka Warakin.

"So you can control it now?" She says surprised and sees the blue furred wolf nod before howling and a blast of lightning shoots towards the Shunka, hitting the tree behind it with it getting down on all fours. It instantly pounces at Sosuke and bites into his side, Sosuke yapping in pain but shakes it off swiftly with Hope using her magic to throw it back a few meters.

The two animals then circle around each other dangerously and when the Shunka leaps at Sosuke again he twirls around, smacking the Shunka in its face with his lightning tail and it howls painfully as it falls down on the ground stunned.

Sosuke quickly follows up on its vulnerable state and bites into its throat, lifting it off the ground and shaking his head, breaking its neck and almost separating its head from its body with an audible snapping sound.

"Why'd you come? I told Dr. Saltzman to keep away." Sosuke asks turning back human with a flash of lightning scorching the ground beneath him and starts spitting out his opponent's blood.

"I heard you howl and got worried I didn't even give him a chance to stop me." Hope admits.

"I didn't howl for help. It did, it can copy sounds." Sosuke tells her, wiping some blood off his lips with the back of his hand.

"Oh. I see." She says slightly embarrassed.

"But thank you for coming for me." He thanks her with a small smile.

"Ahem, what now? Where are your clothes? Or do you want to go back like that?" Hope asks looking at his naked body with a smirk, twirling one of her braids between her fingers and bites her lips seductively.

"Oh... Heh, I stashed them nearby." Sosuke says blushing and turns back into his wolf form.

He walks over to her and hums happily when she scratches him behind his ears and over the back of his neck.

Hope then finds herself scooped onto his back, where she can somewhat sit, her feet touching the ground almost though.

"This isn't really comfortable you know." Hope says nervously, digging her fingers into his back:'s fur.

He looks at her as best as he can and his tail turns into a normal bushy one instead of one made out of lightning. Sosuke uses the tail to pull her legs backwards, angling them behind her similar to how a jockey rides a horse.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Hope asks, still nervous even if she's more comfortable now.

Sosuke yips in reply and starts walking away, speeding up gradually until coming to a halt in front of a bush where he lies down and lets Hope get off his back.

With another flash of lightning Sosuke turns back human and disappears behind the bush, putting his clothes back on.

The couple makes their way back to the football field and sees the two schools in a brawl yet again. Hope uses this to her advantage to sneak away some water for Sosuke and wipes the blood off him while he secretly connects to the football field's lights through his electrical tendrils and drains some of the energy, his wounded side healing quickly.

Shortly after, they are on the school bus heading back with a defeated team, Ethan with a broken arm and Alaric being pissed off.

"Where were you two? We could have used you Hope." Maya asks her friend disappointed.

"That's my fault. I went to get some air and Hope came to bring me back, she got worried because of that howling wolf." Sosuke tells her.

"I swear one of these days your infatuation with each other will be your downfall." Maya tells the couple still pissed that her brother got hurt so badly when he stepped in for Hope.

|that night|

"Why didn't you tell me you can use the wolf form?" Hope asks Sosuke, lying on his bed, drawing something in a sketchbook while he is sitting on the floor sharpening his bladed weapons on a whetstone.

"I didn't think it mattered. I rarely use it because of the whole naked thing, plus a blue giant wolf isn't exactly inconspicuous." Sosuke tells her.

"How wouldn't it matter? You know... Oh, sorry right you can't know that." She says apologetically.

"What?" He asks confused.

"I just thought you remembered how the wolf instinct can be a burden for me especially after that time I bit you. But all of that was erased by Malivore of course." Hope answers, the fact that no one remembers a thing about her coming back up after it left her mind throughout the last week thanks to how great things are with Sosuke.

"Tell me about it again." Sosuke says, cleaning his hands and sitting down on the side of the bed, looking at her.

"It's not really so much a tell as a show. But for example right now I have this energy bubbling inside of me that makes me feel like I need to let it out and I can only do that by turning wolf." Hope answers.

"So turn wolf." He says, shrugging his shoulders.

"It's not that easy even as a tribrid I am more vulnerable to lose control and follow my instincts if I'm a wolf." Hope explains shaking her head.

"And what if I did it with you?" Sosuke offers.

"How would two wild beasts help?" Hope asks.

"I'm not a wild beast. I don't feel any tangible effect of the wolf on me or my mind. I'm all Sosuke when I turn wolf." Sosuke explains.

"How's that even possible?" She asks shocked.

"With my weird ass powers I have learned its best not to question things." Sosuke informs her.

"So you'd really go with me, kinda like a wolf chaperon?" She asks chuckling softly.

"Sure. Although I'd prefer to make it a wolf date." Sosuke tells her.

Hope smiles happily and gets lost in thought.

"Are you alright?" Sosuke asks her gently.

"We had a wolf date. You were so cute."She says squeezing his hand and smiles at her.

"We made plans for our first official date but I needed to lock myself in the cells because I needed the release but didn't trust myself because I hurt you shortly before as a wolf." Hope tells him.

"Anyways after I got stuck for almost an entire day as a wolf you still came looking for me when I missed the date. You made yourself sandwiches and brought me raw meat to eat, even going as far as to cut it up for me. You locked yourself in the cell with me, talked to me and even fell asleep cuddling with me." Hope says remembering it happily.

"That makes it official I'm a corny bastard." Sosuke says embarrassed.

"My corny bastard." She corrects him, accentuating the 'my' before she kisses him passionately while making him lie back across her lap.

"Do you wish I was more like before?" Sosuke asks her, stroking over her comforting, soft thighs lovingly.

"Sometimes maybe, although you're not really different. I just think it's sad you can't truly share all of these experiences like this with me anymore." Hope tells him.

"I'm sorry." He tells her, saddened that this is a burden for her.

"Did the two of us have sex before?" Sosuke asks.

"No. No, why do you ask?" She asks blushing.

"Well, you did come on a little strong at first so I wondered if we took that step before." Souke replies.

"We didn't." She reasures him, playing with his hair nervously.

"Do you want to go wolf out now?" Sosuke asks her.

"Actually yes. So, will you come with me?" Hope asks him.

"Of course." He replies.

"I can't wait to see my beautiful girlfriend as a wolf." Sosuke adds with a warm smile.

"Then let's go." She says, pushing him to his feet before slipping out of the bed after him.

"Good thing we're pretty much on our own here." Sosuke says and Hope nods, taking off her clothes in a hurry before turning into a grey-white wolf.

"Wow." Sosuke says impressed and brushes through her fur before leaving his room with her.

"What was that noise just now?" Alaric asks, stepping out of his room on the bottom floor after hearing Hope's claws click against the wooden floorboards while walking down the stairs.

"Werewolf." He says, freezing in place.

"Relax, it's Hope." Sosuke says, coming down the stairs after her.

"Why is she in her werewolf form? I thought hybrids or well tribrids can control their shift." Alaric asks on guard still.

"She needs to get a release and apparently that works best for her like this." Sosuke says while starting to strip, Hope moving over to the back door and waits in front of it.

"If you don't want to see me buck naked again I'd suggest you go back to your room." Sosuke says.

"Naked? What weird fetish are you guys fulfilling right now?" Alaric asks shocked.

"I'm turning wolf too. Hope was scared of what could happen if she can't control her instinct. Now let us be." Sosuke says and Alaric enters his room while grumbling about annoying teenagers and their stupidity.

With Alaric gone Sosuke drops his last article of clothing and opens the door for Hope, the wolf jumping out relieved to move freely and Sosuke heads outside after her.

Hope runs into the woods behind the house and looks back at him waiting.

Sosuke puts some distance between himself and the house before his body is engulfed in a bright flash and he turns into his wolf form, walking up to her and looks down at her due to him being about two times her size.

Hope howls and takes off into the woods fast, Sosuke following after her and matching her speed while his heavy frame would give away their presence, not being as loud as a horses woofs would be but definitely not being the stealthy hunter a wolf usually is.

The two run through the woods for a good while until stopping in an open clearing.

Hope yips and walks a few steps ahead of Sosuke before turning to face him, barking once while getting in a pouncing position.

Sosuke puffs out a gust of air through his snout and gets into a fighting position himself.

Hope is the first to attack and uses her higher agility to run past him while clawing at his left front leg, leaving a gash there.

Sosuke turns with her, taking short steps in a circle while Hope runs around him wildly before leaping at him and she bites him on his wide shoulder, making her boyfriend whimper.

As she starts to run around him again Sosuke opens his maw and blasts a few sparks of lightning at her with a low howl, not wanting to hurt her much in this kind of spar.

One of the lightning sparks hit her and she yips, falling down shortly before getting up and literally shaking it off with a roll off her head.

She turns to him and growl quietly before leaping on top of him and bites into his thick hide again, intending to stay there and win the fight, before her fur stands on its edge and she hears a dangerous sounding buzzing behind her. Releasing her maw from his skin she turns back and sees his blue glowing tail covered in lightning pointed at her.

Hope hops off him and lies down on all four submissively.

Sosuke licks behind her ear then making her hum happily before Sosuke drops to the ground, moving around like a dumbass until he is turned on his back with all four paws in the air.

He then starts to turn back human and looks over to her, Hope also turning back.

"Looks like you won." She says, lying on her front and lifts up a leg, bouncing it back and forth in the air playfully.

"In more ways than one." He replies, turning on his side and scoots over to her. He then slides a hand down her back and onto her glorious looking behind, the dim light of the crescent moon making it shine enticingly.

"Horndog." She laughs with a small smile.

"I keep telling you. You are just too beautiful." He replies and kisses her softly.

"Why'd you want to fight?" He asks her, breathing in her ear while moving his hand from her behind up to her now messy hair and combs through it.

"It's hard to see you taller and stronger than me as a wolf, even though you aren't even supposed to be able to become a wolf. I guess I just wanted to prove to myself that I'm not powerless as the tribrid and that I can fight just as well as you can." Hope tells him.

"I don't even know what I am Hope. It scares me sometimes, I mean why did I lose memory of two days when that lightning swallowed me up? What happens if I get hit by lightning again? Can I even avoid getting hit again?" He tells her.

"Are you really that worried?" Hope asks.

"Wouldn't you be? What if the next time I get hit I turn into another animal, or I get stuck as a wolf permanently?" He says.

"I guess you have a point." She agrees, taking his free hand and pulling it to her lips, peppering it with some kisses.

"Let me promise you this. If something like that happens we will get through it together. In fact, let's make a promise, just in case. If you get hit by lightning and disappear again. You will come find me the first time you can. OK?" Hope asks, holding out her pinky.

"You got yourself a deal sweetheart." He says with a grateful smile and wraps his pinky around hers.

"Why do you think you will turn into other animals?" Hope asks Sosuke curiously, turning on her side, facing him and grins when his eyes light up at the sight of her naked body in full view while his hand is rubbing circles on the side of her hip.

"It's a far-fetched theory. MG suggested I might be a Raiju. It's a japanese lighting creature that is supposed to be a god's pet or something. Raijin he's called. And a Raiju is referenced as many different animals. So once I turned into a wolf, which was on the list of those I started wondering what if a raiju isn't just one animal but all and can change between them?" Sosuke explains.

"God? We think those exist too now?" Hope asks challengingly.

"Maybe the gods are also just creatures swallowed up by Malivore and everything that remains is what's been written down." Sosuke says.

"Well, I guess if dragons exist anything is possible." Hope replies.

"You really look beautiful." Sosuke tells her softly.

"I can see that." She says chuckling with reddening cheeks and nods down to Sosuke's half erect member standing up between them.

"Can I kiss you before we turn and head back?" Sosuke asks huskily while leaning close to her ear.

"Have I ever stopped you from kissing me?" She asks as a reply and turns her head slightly while looking at Sosuke seductively and the two meet in a passionate, wild kiss, both teens hands grabbing onto the others back and pulling each other close while rolling around on the floor.

When the two break apart for air they sigh out simultaneously, watching their lover's body intensely before managing to break apart from each other.

"We should go." He pants, his desire evident in his voice but he gets up and pulls Hope up as well before both turn into wolves again and head home.
