A cold, lonely night!

The night was a cold one. It was raining. And flashes of lightening and thunder accompanied the heavy rain.

Rahmah couldn't sleep. Each flash of lightening kept bringing the scene of where she'd caught her husband pant down, with her friend, in his office, to her eyes.

She would shudder and draw in the blanket that was covering her and her husband on the bed, tightly, yet the scene kept appearing. It was as if the sha.meless woman was smirking at her-telling her that she had taken her husband and won't ever let him go.

When she got so pissed off and removed the blanket from her body, then sat up and saw her husband wasn't even affected...he was still sleeping peacefully as if nothing had happened, she dragged her tired body out of the bed and went to sleep in her 8-year-old twins' room.

She'd slept in between the two kids and covered them all up with a thick blanket, yet she still had a nightmare.

"Do you seriously think your husband won't cheat on you when you look like that? Look at what you put on! You're a blockhead, you don't know anything, you can't do anything right. There's nothing you can do right. The female voice without face, in her dream, spat out at her.

"Did you not see that vibrant, graceful woman he was getting down on? Even her moans were graceful and pleasing! You've got nothing on her!" The spiteful voice pointed out, confidently.

The last part got to Rahmah. She seethed. But before she could retort, something woke her up.

It was one of her twins-the girl, Teni. She was crushing the girl to her body, and the latter needed to pee. She apologized to the clueless girl in her mind and quickly allowed her to go. She adjusted herself on the bed and her eyes caught the wall clock.

She gasped and sprung up from the bed. It was 6:00am. She was late! She was supposed to get up by 4:00am to start her daily routine. She ran frantically to the kitchen.

She was always running. She wondered what her husband would say if he saw her running that ungracefully, and slowed down a bit. But when she remembered her kids would be scolded for being late at school, she changed her mind and ran wildly to the kitchen to start cooking.

She was able to set the table for her family at 7:00am, despite the bad headache she'd struggled with, while cooking.

"You didn't add flaxseed to my smoothie..." Mama grunted as she took a sip of the drink, Rahmah had served to her.

The whole family were at the dinning hall, taking breakfast.

"Oh, I didn't...?" Rahmah, who was bent over the table before her kids, replied her mother in-law, carelessly, without looking at her. She was spreading butter on the bread for her kids and stirring their tea to cool it down so they could eat on time.

"Are you asking me that? Stephen, are you hearing your wife? Are you seeing how she is treating me? She doesn't have any regard for me, at all. Can she be answering her mother like that?" Mama complained to her son.

Rahmah seethed. Mama was always complaining, and she wasn't in the right frame of mind to condone her pettiness, that morning. She dropped the slice of bread and butter knife in her hands noisily, on the table, and turned to face her mother in-law, menacingly.

She had decided to give her a piece of her frustrated mind, that morning, not caring what it would lead to.
