"What was that!?" Ask Kusakabe as she turns to see me. I just noticed something strange about this Origami... apart from being much younger, she has long hair... is it because we are a few years earlier or is this the new timeline of DAT?

"Hmmm, I don't like to explain my abilities but I practically reflected the damage she did to her and then-" Without being able to finish, Kusakabe raises her voice.

"I do not mean that! What was that... thing we saw watching us!" I can see that it really affected her to see Reine, well she just saw a kind of noise in human form, anyone would be disconcerted by that... but I think a little about my answer.

"The result of human stupidity..." I use my male voice and say it in a cold and blunt way, leaving her stunned. "Or rather their desire for self-destruction?" I try to answer as mysteriously as possible with a woman voice, since even though I would kill Mio and Reine for what they plan to do... they're really just a couple of unlucky women too. Not to mention that it can be argued that they saved several of the girls turning them into Spirits.

"What do you mean with that!? And decide once and for all, are you a man or a woman!?" Kusakabe gets upset and turns to look at me making a sign for the rest of the girls not to move. Although before speaking I make a signal towards her ear, something she seems to understand since she removes her transmitter.

"Hmmm, in short, that entity is the one that creates the Spirits, or the problem with the spirits yoo have now, you could call it their mother." I talk with my normal male voice and I can see how she is surprised, apparently thinking that stopping Reine would end the Spirits. "However the real cause of this... 'Spirit invasion' is a gropu of humans, with them is a human mage named Isaac." Kusakabe quickly turns to see me.

"What do you mean with that!? You attacked us first! Your kind do not stop appearing in this world causing destruction and death in their wake! Do you expect-!?" I stop Kusakabe's fit of rage when I give her Origami in my arms.

"That's the truth. 30 years ago a small group of people decided to destroy the 'normal' humans and create a world where only magicians existed. To do so, they needed a creature a being born of magic, they called it Spirit, so they created the ritual they gathered all the magic in the world, causing the now know Great Eurasian Spacequake." I can see how not only Kusakabe heard me, the rest of the AST girls heard me too and are shocked too, only Origami who is knocked didn't hear what I said, even so I continued.

"Faced with this fact, Isaac simply laughed maniacally and during this event the first spirit was 'born', which in reality they only opened the door and attracted a creature from another dimension... that's why I say that this tragedy is due to human stupidity." I wonder if anything would really change, now that I've told them what's going on... "Still all of you were really lucky."

"Lucky? Luck!? More than 150 million people died that day! Millions more after that! Don't fucking make fun of us damn monster!" Kusakabe yell at me.

"YOU!" I raise my voice silencing hers... and then speak normally "You can't even imagine the luck of your world.... do you even want to know what cosmic horrors exist out there?" I look her straight in the eyes, making my eyes shine a little and using my presence to bend her will a little. "And these idiots decided to open a door into their own world! You were really lucky that only the so called 'spirits' appeared!

You have no idea what kind of meaningless shit goes on out there, those entities can destroy existence itself just with their presence, but those people didn't care at all, after all they wanted to destroy the world... they still want to do it." That sentence made some of the girls start to show worried faces. 

"What else can we do! If they really are as strong as you say we just have to sit down and accept our destruction! Spirits are invading our world! And we have to defend it no matter the cost!" I can see how the girls get resolved, it's a shame I'm going to destroy their dream.

"The Spirits.... do you have any idea what your job is? Do you really believe that your job is the noble task of stopping creatures from another dimension that are trying to destroy your world? When you really can't even scratch them?" I can see the doubt in everyone but I don't give them time to react. "No, your job is to make them fall into despair, turn them into avatars of destruction, once a Spirit falls into madness there is no turning back, they will destroy everything that gets in their way, your noble job is to make a living being become a demon and destroy your own world."

I can only see how all the girls in front of me remain still, not really knowing whether to believe me or not, although from the look on Kusakabe's face... it seems that she had already realized something, after all who It wouldn't occur to them, to talk to the spirits, at least someone would try it with Yoshino who is the calmest of all is not very difficult to do... or whoever wanted to do it, they just let him do it with Kurumi and she killed them.

"Hahaha, yes, Kurumi or Nightmare as you know her does kill a lot of people, but she does it with a purpose, it is not my place to explain her past, but she was betrayed and swore revenge, so everything she does is to kill the first Spirit and thus try to save the world and avoid even more deaths..."

"That... that..." With that Kusakabe just stares at me in disbelief without even knowing what to say.

"Ironic isn't it? Nightmare, the worst of all spirits, was at first an ally of justice, of course more things happened, many things, driving her to madness and adopting more extreme strategies and increasingly stupid decisions... even so, her desire for revenge against the first spirit continues as well as her fight..."

[Kurumi: You're talking nonsense! Stop painting me that way, bastard! Idiot!

Kuroka: Nyahahaha! Don't be shy Kurumi! Everyone will know that you are an ally of justice now! Nyahahaha!

Yoruichi: Yes, everyone will know that you are Batman! Even if you are transforming into the Joker, now we are here to avoid that!]

I really gave them too much information, I can see how the rest of the girls are really confused, only two of them keep pointing their guns at me, another thing that happens in the anime world, all the girls are very young and the problem with youth is who does not react well to sudden situations and/or make idiotic decisions because of it.

"Sigh.... continue doing your job, even if you don't want to, you can't really change what happens now... you can look for people who will support you, but as you know you must be careful, more with monsters like Isaac that have a position of power in the world." Huh? Before I can continue to speak I feel something ringing my instincts, this time much further away.

'And the Spirit left... just like it was nothing in front of us... without being able to do anything to stop it, although I really don't think we could, we can clearly see how the bullets stopped before touching him and physical attacks only hurt ourselves... he is easily a tank with all the defense he has.' Kusakabe thinks as she looks at the place where the Spirit was standing.

"What are your orders Captain?" asks one of the girls behind her.

'It's a good question... I really don't know what to think anymore...' Kusakabe just looks up at the sky and closes her eyes... once she opens them again she can see the rest of her unit around her.

"For now we will not mention this to our superiors, we were facing a new Spirit, Kagaya investigate about that woman Nagisa Himekawa. The rest of us are going to report on the new spirit we will call him Knight and remember he is a woman." Kusakabe decides to trust that spirit a little, anyway she doesn't believe that information about that woman is difficult to find.

"Captain, we are recovering communications with command!" Another girl with something that looks like antennas says, while manipulating a small machine.

["Answer Captain! What is your status!? Respond!"] From their radio they can hear a voice complaining, so Kusakabe decides to respond...

"Kusakabe here! We lost communications when confronting the new Spi-." Before she can finish she is interrupted by the voice on the other end.

["I don't care about that Captain! Inform me of the damage in the area and after that begin repairs! That place is owned by someone very important!"] The voice in the radio answers her still does not show the slightest respect or concern for their well-being.

"The damage is moderate, we manage to corner the Spirit and prevent it from causing more destruction." Kusakabe answers calmly while frowning, she had already thought about it before, about how her commanders really weren't interested in hunting down the Spirits.

["Very good Captain. Start repairs immediately and return to base, prepare the report for first thing tomorrow morning."] The voice responds and ends the transmission. Kusakabe stares at the transmitter in her hand, applying force to it.

"I really must be blind not to notice... What just happened is our most biggest secret understood!" Kusakabe yells.

"Understood!" All the girls immediately respond affirmatively.

"Right, make sure not to tell Origami, I don't know how she will take it, now that we decide to trust a Spirit, but it will be violent, we will continue as if nothing had happened! Start the repairs and let's go home!" The girls salute and quickly disperse to begin working, while Kusakabe lowers Origami to the ground.

When she does, she notices how a metal cylinder falls to the ground along with a piece of paper. She takes the cylinder and observes it, seeing that it has a hole at one end and some kind of switch. She has some suspicions of what it is, but she takes the paper and reads it.

['Hello there! Be careful with this girl, she has enormous compatibility with the Sephira Crystal, which is used to create Human-Spirits, so that being must be watching her, if this girl has a great obsession about something it is very likely that she will be deceived with it.

PS: I'm leaving first because something caught my attention and I need to resolve it.

'Leonhard... so that's the name of that Spirit... Nightmare is called Kurumi.... Phantom....' Kusakabe stares at the horizon, not really knowing what is going to happen in the world...

"Captain, here is the damage count! And...." A girl approaches her and begins to report to her but begins to hesitate in the next...

"What's happening Tomonara, come on, say it, I don't think it's worse than what we just discovered..." Kusakabe just sighs, she just hopes that this stress doesn't affect her too much.

"Huuuu.... The General called again... the report he wanted for tomorrow... he wants it for today... more specifically in 3 hours...." The girl Tomonara says it cautiously as she watch her Captain.

"Ku-" It's the only sound Kusakabe makes, making all the girls look at her and others brace themselves.

"Ku-kukuku..... THAT DAMN BASTARD!! I'M GOING TO KILL HIM MYSELF!! I'LL-" Kusakabe activates the sword that the Spirit gave her and immediately calms down, she is still upset and her subordinates are around her preparing to stop her but they remain still when they see that she suddenly stops.

"What kind of sword is this...?" She is instinctively afraid of this sword, despite it being the first time she uses it she really feels its power. "Create a Territory, quickly, use all your strength, all of you." 

The girls around herlook confused, but they comply with her request and begin to create the Territory. Kusakabe uses the sword carefully, bringing it closer to the Territory, easily passing through it as if it were not there... destroying it completely when more than 2 cm of the sword passes through it.

All the girls remain with their mouths open and Kusakabe stares at the laser sword in her hand, feeling relieved that the Spirit did not attack them with said weapon, so she quickly deactivates and hides the weapon.

"Nobody saw anything, understood?" All the girls just start looking away or start moving some stones acting like nothing happened.

'Why did he give me this weapon... with this weapon I can easily hunt the others Spirits...' With more questions than answers Kusakabe tries to distract herself from reality, and from the report she has to present in a few hours.
