Ch 1: Ragnarok of Mabinogi

Is that what I think it is...

3 different bottles of rebirth potions appeared before me on my deathbed

Black, yellow and blue bottles

Im not sure what all the colours meant, but the bottle in the middle look exactly like the rebirth potion of an anime fantasy rpg called mabinogi so I chose that one instead.

As I chose the bottle I started to lose my vision as life seeps out from my body and turns dark, soon after I heard couple muffled voices, then as everything clears out, I'm faced with 3 kids, 2 spouting insult to my face and 1 about to punch my face.

Bullies POV:

- Hey are you listening to me dirt face!

- This is our turf, don't you ever come back

- All three started laughing

Surprisingly my small stature could endure a beating, I couldn't react at all, my body feels weak but sturdy. So it made me wonder since the feeling is familiar, I tried to look for a reflective surface and luckily I found myself infront of a store.

The stores product can be seen from the outside through the glass and I'm flabbergasted not because of my appearance as a little kid but the product the store is selling, so I walked through inside the store and what welcomed me was the smell of metal and heat from a forge.

The store are full of cold weapons, my face could not hide my astonishment, both left and right walls a variety of swords are displayed, from short swords to 2 handed weapons, my inner thoughts is so happy to see this kind of stuff in my life. Regretfully this is real life and not some kind of game.

The guy behind the counter is very amused at what he is currently watching, a kid of no more than 10 years old, went inside his store and from his face shows that this is the first that he has seen this kind of stuff. As soon as the boy stopped at his tracks and saw him he immediately called the kid towards him.

Guy at counter POV:

- Hey kid come over here!

Kid:

- Me?..

Guy at counter:

- Yes you, do you see any kid in the shop?

The kid slowly walked towards the guy behind the counter with caution while looking left and right at his surroundings and finally looked up.

Kid:

- Mister you got a pretty awesome place here!

The guy at the counter not believing his eyes that the kid didn't run away from seeing his looks as most people do, the kid even has the courage to compliment his home.

The man's eyes suddenly glowed for a second and was amazed at what he saw. A status of different colour than normal.

As soon as I was called the guy at the counter's eyes glistened for a bit and he smiled right after. It seems weird for the most part but what actually happened i have no clue at all.

The guy said to wait for a bit as he bent down and I heard some gears spinning and just behind him a hidden compartment opened with a smoke releasing what's inside. The guy slowly took out a dark wooden box and placed it on the lowered counter for accepting materials.

Kid:

What is that mister?

Guy:

- Its for you young man, a gift from this craftsman

Kid:

- This isn't a prank right?, your really giving me something?, to a kid?

Guy:

- Yes, I'm absolutely sure. Now take it

The dark wooden container by the counter looks very ancient, the edges have weird letters, and the cover has a carved out display of a woman with wings.

As soon as I touched the box, it gave off a shock which surprises me since there aren't any metalic parts can be seen. I stopped at my tracks and looked at the guy for the last time, as soon as he saw me, he instantly says go-on!.

Then I tried to figure out how to open it but then the one side of the top cover slid out from the box and from there a dirty short sword can be seen partially.

As the box was opened the guy at the counter had a gasp of air but held himself well enough for the kid not to notice a change in his expression

The details he has seen on the sword is astonishing as its parameters automatically displayed onto his eyes without him using the skill.

A 1-handed sword sealed by imitating a divine ancient sword, it is great for quick attack. A very light sword for the chosen,

- That's a short sword, passed down from generation to generation from my family and I have a hunch that your the one its been waiting for.

The dirty short sword came to full view as soon as I opened the other side of the cover and grasped the hilt of the sword. The sword is amazingly light compared to my stature and weak looking arms. Im in such delight I'm able to own a bladed weapon in this life as well and thought this life might be pretty dangerous since a random guy at the store gave me a weapon.

Guy:

- Come-on give it a swing, and let me know how it is!

I swang the sword as I intended after I picked it up and heard the guy also said it. My form looks very awkward since this is the first time I have done this. Although its awkward the feeling of the sword on my hand feels very natural and its like a part of me for some reason.

I explained to the guy how it feels like, all response I've seen is just him smiling and have a very satisfied look then he gave me a scabbard to go along with it.

Kid:

- Thank you very much mister.. umm i didn't get your name.

Guy:

- oh i did forgot to introduce myself, Im Edern, Nice to meet you Caiz

Kid:

- Caiz?

Edern:

- Isn't that your name kid?

Caiz:

- how did you ?

Edern:

- after you get your awakening, lets talk again...

I walked out the door as I was taken-back about the word "awakening", it seems like this world has more to offer than what it seems. When I shut the the store door closed, a pop-up screen displayed thru my very eyes,

I got startled and could not believe my eyes the contents are very familiar since its the same character, and inventory I had when I played mabinogi back then, but what was that screen back then, it says about Ragnarok of Mabinogi as I contemplate the meaning behind it. The rascals I met at the park had bumped unto me again.

Rascal:

- Look who it is!... Its tiny!!

The two other rascals laughed at the same time from the insult their leader made

Rascal:

- What do you have there kid! A weapon from the blacksmith?

- Give it here!, It's mine now!!

The two underlings grabbed Caiz by the arm and their leader pushed and kicked Caiz until he dropped the weapon on the floor.

Soon after the rascal leader went to picked up the weapon Caiz dropped but he couldn't, He tried his hardest to lift it up from the ground but some kind of force is not letting him do so, the underlings also tried helping him but none the less its futile as they are not the chosen.

Rascal:

- what did you do? this weapon is mine now!!!

Caiz:

- it isn't yours to begin with, maybe the weapon hates you

Rascal

- that's preposterous, no weapon can choose their master! None has ever existed

Caiz

- if you can lift it, its yours. just like this!

As Caiz slowly took the sword on the floor like it was nothing, all three ranscals was stupefied but the leader wouldn't give up and immediately snatched the weapon from Caiz's hand

Rascal

- Don't touch my sword! Hahaha...

His laughter was cut short. As soon as he grabbed the weapon the force behind it immediately weighed itself down towards the ground and a scream was heard after

The weapon crushed the rascals hand towards the ground and people from the vicinity immediately congregate towards the commotion, the father of the rascal, who was near heard his son's voice screaming in pain

Rascal's dad

- Son what did you get yourself into now!?

As the dad looked at his son's posture he saw a weapon crushing his hand, the dad immediately tried to grab the weapon's grip and lift it away but even him could not do anything. He seems troubled as his level is on the 20's and still having a hard time on a short sword, everyone watching the scene has started to whisper to each other.

Rascal's dad:

- whose weapon is this son?

Rascal:

-its mine i got it from the store! But this kid did something to it and now I couldn't lift it.

Everyone saw who the rascal was pointing at and its the orphan from the church, everyone who is currently there knew who the kid was.

The dad lunges at Caiz and he couldn't do anything bout it, Caiz was held by the collar, lifted up through the air and yelled at his face "tell me what did you do!?"

The commotion outside the store has gathered the attention of the store owner Edern, Edern went outside and saw what was happening.

Edern:

- Hey YOU!!!, don't loiter around my store its bad for business!

The store owner was very mad, the crowd murmured. As the commotion not dispersing he looked around and saw the chosen kid on the air lifted by an angry adult

Edern:

- hmmm, what's going on here! Hurry up and elaborate!!

Rascal's dad:

- this kid did something to the sword my child bought from your store and now crushing his hand on the ground

As Edern listened to the details of whats happening he saw his family heirloom on the floor with someone elses hands grasping on it while getting crushed.

Edern:

- Serves him right!

Everyone heard Edern's remarks!

Rascal's dad:

- What do you mean, serves him right!?

Edern:

- Just what I said, it serves him right, since he is claiming the weapon by his hand which I gave to the kid on your hand that its his and bought it from my shop, that sword right there is my family's heirloom which I decided to give to that kid your holding, and if your kid has ever bought it, I don't think your family could ever afford it.

Everyone was gawking at the details they have heard from the shop owner and now the rascal's dad got embarassed as he jumped into conclusion without listening to both sides, but its already to late, his kid was now seen as a thief by everyone on the crowd and placed down the kid he was holding up on the ground and soon after apologized

As Caiz was placed down on the ground he then walked towards the rascal on the ground and lifted the short sword up and hanged it by his back.

The crowd saw it all and was amazed as to how did that tiny kid did it.

Caiz thanked Edern for his helped and the shop owner just nodded to him back, and Caiz walked away.

Edern:

- What are you guys waiting for!!!? Disperse this instant!!!

A lot of things has happened today, Caiz thought to himself. He learned about his new self and what comes with his to this new life and foremost where he lives.

At the front of the church a lady with pink bob haircut was in distressed waiting for someone

As the lady in priestess clothing saw the kid she was waiting for by the distance, she ran towards him and said that she was worried sick.

Priestess:

- where have you been Caiz!? I thought something has happened bad to you.

Caiz:

- I'm sorry ma'am..

The priestess noticed a weapon on his back and Caiz saw that, right away he said that Mr. Edern from the weapon shop gave it to him.

Come-on now, the priestess told Caiz to go inside and its time to eat supper.

As Caiz walked into the church, the priestess looked thoughtfully for a long time on Caiz's back and says quietly

"It's about damn time"

That night made me think everything that has happened the looks of the weapon shop owner Edern looks very similar to the Edern from the game mabinogi and the weird thing is the similarity of the priestess to Kristell as well, thinking about all this stuff made my head hurt and lead me to sleep.

The next day came too early and made me think that its way too quick however what comes to view was a a white podium and white surroundings as if I was sent to heaven and there I am standing at the edge.

Caiz:

- Wtf did I died again!?... nothing came to answer my question, still I walked towards the centre of the podium and suddenly a beautiful girl in a black dress with intricate patterns appeared out of no-where. She introduces herself as Nao

Nao:

- Caiz, Welcome to the soul stream

Caiz:

- Oh my Gawd!!!...
