The woman wailed and screamed in pain like an injured beast, her fingernails digging into her face and leaving bloody trails behind.
A wolf's howl sounded in the distance, echoing in the wilderness. The woman suddenly stopped and looked outside the house, dazed.
The wooden door suddenly burst open and the Blood-eyed Bone Wolf leaped into the embrace of the woman, joyfully wagging its tail like a puppy.
"Blood Eye! Why are you back?" The woman let the Bone Wolf nuzzle her affectionately as she was still quite stunned, then reached out to pat its back, her hands trembling non-stop.
"If you've returned... That means he is dead. Heh, he is dead, he is finally dead," the woman mumbled. The relief on her face was short-lived, and quickly morphed into despair.
