Chapter 15

The next day, all the racers lined up at the starting line and waited for Lacey to shoot off the starting pistol. Once she did, The Genie's Bottle started their 60-second head start and raced off to California. The Genie's Bottle raced through Texas and into New Mexico. Then they drove through New Mexico and stopped at a giant traffic jam covering every square inch of the street. Lacey and Stephanie flew overhead and saw the traffic jam stop The Genie's Bottle. Lacey said, "Looks like our racers will have to think to get by this notorious heavy traffic." Then Stephanie reshot the starting pistol, and all the other racers raced to California and tried to catch The Genie's Bottle.

The Piano Trap is in 2nd, The Mouse Machine is in 3rd, The Poker Machine is in 4th, and The Catmobile is in 5th. Once Team Poker saw Team Cat behind them, they threw a pink ball at them, and when it hit their car, Chris and Joseph got covered in bubblegum. Joseph said, "A bubblegum bomb. Clever." Team Werewolf, Team Mad Dog, Team Mummy, and Team Easter all passed Chris and Joseph, trying to get the bubblegum goo off them, putting them in 9th place. Chris said, "Can't believe I'm going to do this, but I don't think I have a choice." Chris pushed a button in their car, spun them around in circles, and shook all the bubblegum goo off. Once they stopped spinning, Chris and Joseph got dizzy and could barely see where they were going. Joseph said, "OH! Where are we?" Once their vision cleared, they started driving correctly and returned to the race.

The Wheeled Mummy Case is in 7th, and when they saw Mad Dog Mayhem in front of them, Nayanna threw a smoke bomb, blinded both Team Mad Dog and Team Werewolf, and drove past them. Easter Town is in 8th, and when they saw The Catmobile behind them, Sarah pulled a lever and dumped fresh tar onto the track. Once The Catmobile and The Frog Hopper drove into the tar, their cars got stuck, and they stopped racing. The Wheeled Mummy Case was still in 7th and was eager to take the lead, so they activated their lightning gun and shot lightning bolts at everyone in front of them. Mad Dog Mayhem dodged the bolt, but The Wheeled Mummy Case passed them. Then The Wheeled Mummy Case shot another bolt at Team Werewolf, another at Team Poker, and another at Team Genie up ahead. Once they did, they destroyed all their cars and took them out of the race. They shot two more lightning bolts at The Mouse Machine and The Piano Trap, but they both dodged them, and The Wheeled Mummy Case passed them and then took the lead.

All the racers are heading out of Texas and into New Mexico. Once they arrived, they all stopped their cars and saw a giant traffic jam covering every square inch of the road. Cory turned a knob in their vehicle while Tonya got in the back. Then Team Piano made their car taller and thinner by adjusting the wheels, and Cory drove them in between the other vehicles. Sabrina pushed a button in their car, making it run and jump over the traffic like a natural dog. Team Mouse shrunk themselves down to size and drove underneath the traffic. Joseph pushed a button in their car and made it crawl over the traffic just like a real cat would do. Team Mummy then shot a bandage at a lamppost further along the street and swung over the traffic. Melissa pushed a button in their car, making it hop over the traffic as a real frog would. Easter Town then turned their vehicle into a giant egg and rolled over some cars. When the owners of the vehicles saw them coming, they got out of their cars and watched Team Easter smash their cars. Once they made it across, the racers turned their vehicles back to normal and raced to the finish line.

The Wheeled Mummy Case is in the lead, The Piano Trap is in 2nd, and Tonya slimed everyone from 3rd to last with ketchup when they saw The Mouse Machine behind them. The Frog Hopper is in last, but then they shot a laser in front of them to make a giant pit in the track. Then, all the racers fell into the hole except for Team Frog, which activated their ramp, rode up it, and jumped the giant pit they made. Once they made it across, they took the lead and left the other racers in their big hole. Team Mouse was the first to push their car out of the pit and return to the race. Once they did, they raced after The Frog Hopper and took 2nd place. Team Mad Dog made it out second and took 3rd place, Team Cat made it out next and took 4th place, Team Piano made it out next and took 5th place, Team Easter made it out next and took 6thplace when they got back in the race, and Team Mummy made it out last and took last place when they got back in the race.

The Mouse Machine is in 2nd and was catching up with The Frog Hopper in 1st. Both teams then looked up ahead and saw a bridge straight forward. Once The Frog Hopper made it across, so did The Mouse Machine. Then Team Mouse activated their heat ray and melted the bridge's center so the other racers couldn't get across. Once the other racers got to the bridge, they all stopped their cars so they wouldn't fall off. Cory said, "Now what?" Tonya said, "The finish line is over there. Remember?" Chris and Joseph turned their car into a plane, flew over the destroyed part of the bridge, and flew to the other side.

Once they got to the other side, they turned their plane back into a car and took 3rd place. Team Mummy turned their car into a helicopter and flew across the broken part of the bridge. Once they got to the other side, they turned their helicopter back into a vehicle and took 4th place. Team Piano turned their car into a plane and flew across the destroyed part of the bridge. Once they got to the other side, they turned their aircraft back into a vehicle and took 5th place. Team Easter turned their car into a helicopter and flew to the other side. Once they got to the other side, they turned their helicopter back into a vehicle and took 6th place. Then Team Mad Dog turned their car into a plane, flew across the broken side of the bridge, and took last place when they got to the other side.

The Mouse Machine is in 2nd and is feuding with The Catmobile in 3rd. Mad Dog Mayhem is in last, but then they pulled a lever in their car and started to fire paper balls at everyone ahead of them. Narita and Sarah got hit in the back of their heads, and Mad Dog Mayhem passed them. Then Cory and Tonya got hit, so they looked behind them and saw who was firing them. Cory said, "These are ours now." Narita said, "Good, you can keep them." Tonya said, "Good because we want them." Mad Dog Mayhem then passed The Piano Trap and started to hit The Wheeled Mummy Case with paper balls. Donaven said, "Cut it out." Nayanna said, "Cut it out." Sabrina said, "As you wish." Mad Dog Mayhem passed The Wheeled Mummy Case, took 4th place, and shut off their paper ball launcher.

All the racers are headed out of New Mexico and into Arizona. Easter Town is in last and is gaining on The Piano Trap, in 6th. Team Piano saw Easter Town gaining, so they hit the gas, ditched Easter Town, and started to catch up with Mad Dog Mayhem. Once Mad Dog Mayhem saw The Piano Trap gaining, Sabrina hit the turbo-speed button, speeded up their car, passed everyone from 4th to 2nd, and took 2nd place. While Mad Dog Mayhem was in 2nd, The Mouse Machine, in 3rd, caught up with them. Then The Mouse Machine passed Mad Dog Mayhem and took 2nd place. Easter Town is last, but they flipped a switch in their car, activated the drill setting, and dug underneath the track. Once they got to the surface, they put themselves in the lead. The Piano Trap is gaining on The Wheeled Mummy Case. Then, The Piano Trap passed The Wheeled Mummy Case and took 6th place. The Catmobile is in 5th and was gaining up on Mad Dog Mayhem. Then Team Cat started to fire mashed potatoes at everyone in front of them and passed everyone they hit. Once they hit The Frog Hopper in 2nd, they raced by them and took 2nd place. Then they tried to hit Easter Town, which was in the lead, but Sarah took two gravy guns and sprayed all the mashed potatoes and Team Cat with gravy. Lacey and Stephanie saw what had happened on their TV screen and laughed. Lacey said, "Now that's what I call a food fight. Hahaha, haha."
