Chang'e puzzledly asked, "Do what? You'd better rest early to save some energy. Or how about some osmanthus?"
Qin Shou rolled his eyes and said, "I, the great Rabbit, have been to the Heavenly Court, how can I eat osmanthus every day? Come on, girl, the Rabbit here is treating you to a feast!"
Chang'e curiously asked, "What feast?"
Qin Shou chuckled, lit the gathered firewood, then took out a plump thigh and set it over the flames, saying, "Flower Mink hind leg meat!"
Then Qin Shou took out a golden, glistening and still dripping roasted toad and placed it before them, saying, "This was from my hunt in the Heavenly Court; come, take a taste."
Chang'e hadn't eaten meat in a long time, and her eyes lit up at the sight of it. Forgetting all about her image, the pair—girl and rabbit—sat cross-legged on the ground, gobbling meat and swigging wine, and struck up a conversation.
