"Uggh, my head.." Harper woke with the most pounding headache he'd ever had.

(What happened?) Harper and really hoped Apollo had the answer.

(We got our ass handed to us and mate.. I don't know what happened to mate. He was yelling for us and suddenly went quiet.) Apollo's voice had a sadness to it that made Harper worry because Apollo wasn't one to show emotions easily.

"Good Morning Harper." Harper looked around and found that he was in the pack infirmary.

"You kids gave us quite a scare." The nurse was writing something in her charts.

"What happened? Why am I here?" Then it slowly came back to him. "We were ATTACKED! There were these four guys and they somehow knew Niklaus and they were super strong and fast and Neil was-" Harpers face dropped, he realized he couldn't feel anything from Neil.

"WHERE'S Neil!" The nurses face saddened, she had hoped to not have to be the one to tell him.

"I'm sorry but he's-" She got cut off.

"He's alive, we just.." It was Atlas, his face was somewhere between worried and happy. Harper couldn't quite tell which was more prominent.

"Just what? You said he's alive, so where is he? I want to see him!" Harper was getting restless he didn't like not being able to tell if his mate was there or not.

"That's the problem, we don't know where he is."

"What do you mean you don't know where he is!?"

"I mean that when we had finally caught up to where we saw the lightning hit him and Niklaus were gone."

"Niklaus is gone too?" Harpers head was spinning, he felt like he was going to be sick. This was his fault if he had just left the scream alone and not followed it then none of this would be happening.

'No, if I had done that than Niklaus would've died out there. Alone.' Harper really was going to be sick. He quickly pulled the electrodes off his torso and ran to the toilet. Atlas sat on the edge of the tub just next to Harper and patted his back. Scarlett came in shortly after.

"Your son and husband are in the bathroom." The nurse pointed to where they were.

"Of course, thank you." Scarlett dismissed the nurse. Harper was now sitting on the ground next to the tub while Atlas was still in the same spot just talking to each other. Harper looked up and saw Scarlett in the doorframe.

"Hey mom." Harpers voice sounded week, he was still injured from the fight with the thugs even though his super human healing has already kicked in there was a lot more damage.

"Ohh my baby boy!" Scarlett rushed over to give Harper a hug, kissing his forehead head as well. "Why is he out of bed!?" Scarlett slapped Atlas's arm.

"What, it's not my fault. He ran in here cause he was sick!" Atlas jerked his arm away, trying to protect himself from anymore hits.

"Come let's get you back to bed."

"Actually, I wanted to shower first." Harper rubbed the back of his neck.

"Sure baby, I'll find you some clothes and then you can go to bed."

"Mom, I can't sleep knowing that Neil is out there. I need to find him.. and Niklaus." Harpers voice was solemn, he was hoping his mother would agree because while Atlas was the Alpha, everyone knew that Scarlett had the real power.

"You didn't tell him, did you?" Scarlett looked over to Atlas.

"I hadn't gotten the chance yet, so no, I haven't told him."

"Told me.. told me what?"

"It's been eight days since we found you and Morgan." Atlas had then told Harper everything that they've done in the last eight days trying to find clues as to who attacked them and where Niklaus and Neil might be.

"I'm sorry Harper, but the trail went cold a few days ago." Atlas placed his hand on Harper's shoulder. "We'll let your sister know that you're awake." Harper just leaned against the tub processing what he'd just learned.

(At least we know why we can't feel him anymore.) Apollo was trying to cheer Harper up.

(Hopefully that's the only reason.) Harper was downcast, he hoped his mate was okay.

Harper quickly took his shower, changed into what his mom had brought for him, and walked into Atlas's study where he seemed to have interrupted a meeting.

"Harper, good. You'll be able to devise a good strategy." Atlas smiled at his son's strength to be able to be up right now.

"Strategy? For what?"

"James seems to of stumbled upon two men that know where Niklaus and Neil are."

James is the packs Beta, next in line for Alpha until Harper is old enough to lead.

"What did you find James?" An air of excitement entered Harpers words.

"I overheard them talking about two boys that had been captured by their pack."

"Which pack were they from?"

"I'm not sure but from what I could see they each had a tattoo of an eagle with some sort of dog in its talons." Atlas's face lit up, he remembered they had a book with all of the pack crests in the library, it was mainly used by school children to learn which crests were enemies and which were allies. Atlas ran out of the room, surprising everyone who was in the meeting, and shortly came back after, slamming the book on the table.

"Here, I know it's here somewhere.." Atlas was thumbing through the pages so quickly that Harper couldn't even tell what he was looking at.

"HERE! Here, I found it! The Swooping Eagle with a Fox in its Talons." Atlas was pointing at the image shown next to the pack name.

"The Adler Pack!" Atlas seemed almost exuberant to find the image. "Is this it? The tattoo those other wolfs had?"

"Yeah, yeah that's it." James nodded his head as he spoke.

"It says here that 'The Adler Pack House is located in Canada's Yukon Mountains, somewhere between Emerald Lake and Mount Carnarvon." Atlas continued reading. "Currently ran by a C.B. Adler."

"Did they name the pack after themselves?" Harper rolled his eyes at the thought of naming an entire pack after yourself.

"No, it says here that Adler is the German term for Eagle. I guess that explains the pack crest then?"

"They probably did name it after themselves and that's just what they told people for the history books." James chuckled to himself. Harper again rolled his eyes, if this was the pack that took his mate and new friend then he didn't care where they got their name from.

"We need to figure out a plan before we just go there." Atlas assured Harper.

[Atlas..]

[What wrong?]

[A package just arrived, it smells like blood.]

[Whose blood?]

[It smells like Neils.]

(Shit! I can't let Harper know just yet.)

(Don't worry, we'll find our pack mate and if he should choose that'll include Niklaus.) Kiba sounded confident that they'd find Neil and Niklaus.

"I have to go perform some alpha duties, why don't you go onto bed. You've had a rough week Harper."

"Yeah, okay dad. Let me know if you find anything else on Neil and Niklaus."

Atlas nodded and walked out of the room.

'I hope those boys are okay' Atlas sighed and rubbed his face, he could feel the stubble on his palm and realized exactly hadn't shaven the whole time Harper was passed out, he really wouldn't have survived if he had lost another son.

I went back and fixed my mistake with Harper’s wolf in Chapter 4. His wolf is Apollo not Gray, Sorry! Also, I decided to release multiple chapters for you guys as a reward for suffering through that cliffhanger at the end of Chapter 4.

In the next chapter I fully introduce Blink, the antagonist, while reading his character think of him as an Eccentric Gay Man although he has no assigned preference.

Have some ideas about my story? Comment and let me know.
