As the night finally reached its peak, Feng Shi is impressed as others are still partying with too much energy in her opinion.

Cheng Xiu had also started to loosen up at one point during the party and was dancing along to one of their group member's off-key singing.

Fen Shi laughed at their silly antics as Huang Jun choked after chugging down a bottle of who knows what after a stupid dare.

Cao Ai stifled her laughter trying to be a good boyfriend patting his back and trying to help.

Unfortunately for Huang Jun, the rest of their friends have no qualms about laughing at his misfortune and Feng Shi is one of them.

Xiao Wang did not fully understand what was funny in watching someone being plain stupid but as long as her master is amused, Xiao Wang simply covered his ears with his paws as he curled up with his back on the partygoers, as if his sensitive senses would be able to dull the upbeat energy in the room.

Feng Shi removed her coat and used it as a blanket for Xiao Wang before going back to chatting with Cao Ai and Chia Biu.

"Like I know right?! That boutique is so underrated" Cao Ai complained as they gossiped about one of the boutiques that they went to.

"Speaking off, I can't wait to show off my latest dresses in the coming intramural." Chia Biu squealed.

"I know, I'm so going to look so fab with my floral style" Cao Ai agreed.

"Well, I was thinking more of a sporty theme for that week" Feng Shi added her input on the matter making the girls contemplate before agreeing with her choice as the best one.

"You know what this means?" Chia Biu trailed off excitedly.

"Shopping spree!" They all said at the same time before giggling with each other.

"You girls can plan your weekend later. Come on babe" Sima Lin cut off taking Chia Biu's hand and pulling her to the dance floor.

"May I have this dance, M'lady?" Huang Jun invited Cao Ai before winking at his girlfriend and tilting his head at Cheng Xiu who would glance at Feng Shi once in a while.

Cao Ai giggled before taking his hand.

"My, how can I say no to such a gentleman?" Cao Ai giggled playing along before glancing at Feng Shi apologetically but the mischievous grin on her face gave her away. "I'll chat with you later Feng Shi!" She waved moving away while Feng Shi rolled her eyes.

"These fanatic shippers" She sighed shaking her head before leaning back, waiting for a certain lover boy to approach her.

True to her guest, Cheng Xiu approached her a minute later. "How predictable my sweet love." Feng Shi thought to herself as he sat down beside her.

"Enjoying yourself? This party is for you after all?" Feng Shi asked needlessly pouring a glass of wine for him.

"Of course, I have all of my friends here after all" Cheng Xiu affirmed "And the girl I love" went unsaid but Feng Shi could see it from the way his eyes gaze at him.

Feng Shi's face softened and leaned on Cheng Xiu feeling a little bit tired. She doesn't know what charm he holds but every time he is near, she won't help but relax in his presence which if she thought more about it, could possibly be detrimental to her in certain situations.

"I'm glad" She replied stifling a yawn.

Cheng Xiu wrapped his hands around his waist pulling her closer to him and letting her head rest on her shoulder.

"Do you need me to take you home? It is getting late" He asked brushing her hair softly.

"Nah, I'd rather stay here for now" She replied tiredly blocking the loud noises subconsciously and Cheng Xiu nodded.

"Boo" Chia Biu called out and gave him a thumbs down from the other side of the room.

"That dumb boy" Sima Lin also sighed in disappointment.

"Do something about your stupid friend already!"Chia Biu hissed slapping her boyfriend on the shoulder in frustration.

"I know! She is right there already, in his hands! Why isn't he doing anything?!" Cao Ai also complained already sick of their oblivious friends' love chase.

"Calm down babe. Cheng Xiu has his own strategy, I hope" Sima Lin assured mumbling the last part.

They can see that those two have feelings for each other, even when Feng Shi has yet to realize that, and hope that those two can get together. I mean they already have four years worth of triple dates planned out. So those two better get together soon.

Cheng Xiu could only shake his head at his friends' antics, trying hard not to disturb Feng Shi who was leaning on him with her eyes close. He can tell by how her body moves that she is not asleep yet based on the level of her breathing.

He is glad to have great friends like those four but they can be a little pushy when it comes to him making moves on chasing Feng Shi. They are supportive but sometimes they can be a little bit much. And he wouldn't want them any other way.

"Feng Shi, come on. It's clear that you are worn out. I'll send you back, I'm a little tired too now anyway" Cheng Xiu tried to convince her, his actually not tired yet but it was clear that Feng Shi already is.

"Hmm, Kay" She replied scooping Xiao Wang into her arms.

"Good, I'll just say goodbye to our friends. I'll be right back real quick princess" He informed her with such tenderness that Feng Shi could not help but melt into him more.

Cheng Xiu chuckled before rearranging her so that she is leaning on the armrest with a pillow. "You kinda have to let me go for me to do that princess?" He told her in amusement before going away.

True to his word, Cheng Xiu just made round saying goodbye to their friends before going back to her.

Seeing her already peaceful face sleeping, he could not bare to disturb her sleep and so, with swift and gentle movements, he scoops her into his arms in a princess carry, picking her wolf along with her, and carrying them both with ease.

Feng Shi hummed before opening one eye and snuggling closer into his chest, inhaling his fresh and a little minty boy scent, hugging Xiao Wang tighter in her arms before flying back to sleep.

However, before she could drift back to dreamland, she felt a meaningful gaze around her making her furrow her brows.

The gaze did not have any ill intent but it is still unsettling.

Xiao Wang was even more startled than her, looking around in vigilance. "Master, there is something weird just now" Xiao Wang informed her through their link.

"Does this have anything to do with the gaze she had fallen just now?" Feng Shi thought seriously.

"What do you mean by strange Xiao Wang?" She asked sleep long forgotten but her eyes still kept closed.

"A presence master. I felt a presence similar to my core. You know, the foreign energy that merged with me. It is what's allowing us to travel through space. I felt it right now master. It was feint and only for a few minutes but it is no mistake" Xiao Wang informed her trying to trace the location of that foreign energy. He still also kept his own presence hidden so that it won't bring trouble to his master just in case the other one is an enemy.

"that means that we aren't the only foreign beings in this world," Feng Shi thought, her breath hitching in shock at that realization. There are others like her, like them!

"It is not certain but the possibility is their master" Xiao Wang affirmed.

"Xiao Wang, I will handle things in this world for now. I want you to focus on investigating just what that foreign energy is and what it can do. If there is another foreign being here, it will be best for us to know what we are up against and to have all of our meals at our full disclosure" She ordered.

"It will be as you command master" Xiao Wang obediently replied closing his eyes and focusing his attention in the swirling energy that he can feel deep within his soul, his being. It is there, warm or cool at certain parts, swirling yet dormant.

He can feel its power but cannot grasp control over it.

If he can just obtain a full grasp on this, he would be even more useful to his master.

Friends or foe, it is best for them to be ready. He cannot risk the well-being of his master.

With those thoughts, Xiao Wang let go of his consciousness of this world and focused his attention on his core appearing asleep on the outside.
