Feng Shi waited until one before going to get ready.

"Come on, Xiao Wang, time for a bath" She called out to her wolf pup who was busy attentively watching cartoons on the couch.

Hearing her call, Xiao Wang immediately stood up and telepathically turned the T.V off. "Woof!" "Yes master" He responded bouncing towards her waiting by the bathroom door.

Feng Shi bent down to scoop the fluffy ball of fur into her hands before heading toward the bathroom.

The bathroom had ocean-blue floor tiles and sky-blue walls. It had a wide laboratory with a giant mirror on one side and a door leading to the toilet on the corner. However, turning around from the mirror reveals a giant pool decorated with a fountain in the middle ad dolphins squirting water at each edge.

Scattered all around are giant pearls on silvery shells emitting golden lights, by the side of the pool was also a heart-shaped bathtub with a shower.

Feng Shi walked to the right corner, careful not to trip and fall as she headed into the bathtub.

She proceeded to set Xiao Wang in the tub's corner while she fills the tub with warm water.

She would occasionally check the water to see if it is still the right temperature before undressing herself and getting into the tub.

With a big splash, Xiao Wang also joined her into the tub causing Feng Shi to look away and shield her face from the water caused by the jump.

"Woo!" Xiao Wang called out doggy paddling around the tub causing Feng Shi to laugh and splash at him as he had tinned down considerably.

"Woof!" Xiao Wang barked before splashing her back.

They playfully splashed each other back and forth with Xiao Wang swimming around to avoid her 'attacks'.

The water splashes scattered around as they play, A female's laughter and a wolf's howl reverberating in the spacious room.

"Alright enough playing around. Come here" She beckoned as she grabbed Xiao Wang's shampoo. She perched herself on the edge of the tub and Xiao Wang leaps into her lap so her to be able to wash his fur.

Feng Shi hummed softly as she massaged the bubbly shampoo into his fur turning him into a ball of bubbles with only his eyes peeking through. This caused Feng Shi to burst into fits of giggling at this adorable wight.

"Woof!" Xiao Wang barked, tongue sticking out before he grinned and shakes his body causing the both to be covered with bubbles.

"Xiao Wang!" Feng Shi scolded lightly turning the shower on and washing her face while Xiao Wang laughed merrily before also going under the pouring water.

After that, Feng Shi properly got herself cleaned up before going to the corner where her bathrobe was hung and covered by a glass case along with her other bath products.

Taking a towel and curling it on her hair, she picked up the drenched wolf and set him before the mirror before plugging the hair drying.

"Stay still," She told him as she carefully dried his fur.

The wet pup slowly began to turn back into a fluffy ball of fur, fluffier than before.

unable to stop herself, Feng Shi rubbed Xiao Wang hastily. "You are so cute!" She cooed picking up the ruffled pup and rubbing him on her cheek.

"Master!" Xiao Wang called out at the abrupt action before he regained his bearing and licked her face in affection.

"Hey!" She complained lightly with a giggle before wiping her face and setting him down to sit on his own fluffy towel while she grabbed her toothbrush.

After that, she immediately changed into a flowery pink dress and combed her hair, putting on a pink headband with a rose design.

She didn't put on even a light makeup since the previous host had never liked that but glancing at her dressing table, pinkish red lips, rosy cheeks, perfectly arched brows, long curly lashes, and a still developing already great yet still tender body.

Somehow, her eyes dark, mysterious, and glinting with danger and mischief did not match the innocent youthful charm.

Feng Shi pursed her lips to her right before she framed her face with both of her hands and blinked her eyes before the villainous gaze turned into soft enchanting gems.

"Better" She smirks before softening her expression again.

When she reached downstairs she immediately heard her voice which made her whole facade freeze for a moment.

"Oh, is that true dear? My daughter is fortunate to have you as a friend." A woman's voice was heard, Feng Hien's voice.

Feng Shi stepped closer to the railing to overlook what in the world is going on downstairs without completely closing herself.

Cheng Xiu was standing in front of the door with her stepmother entertaining him.

"You know, my other daughter is also returning soon no she is also going to your school." Feng Shi raised her brow at that sentence having a feeling of where this is going.

"She has been away from home for so long and I am worried about the cold having no one here. I'm afraid that Feng Shi doesn't really like her step-sister. The poor child has been in her shadow for all of her life" Feng Hien complained making Feng Shi roll her eyes.

"Perhaps, since our dear little Shi seems to like you quite a lot, you can take Feng Hai and help them reconcile? of course I wouldn't want to trouble you dearly but as their mother, I just worry you know. They are both my daughter and I want them to get along" Feng Hien suggested trying to find an opportunity to tie her beloved daughter to the Heir of the Cheng Family.

"Feng Shi isn't so unreasonable madam Feng, I'm sure you just worry too much." Cheng Xiu awkwardly waved off and before Feng Hien could reply, Feng Shi walked down the stairs making her presence known by the click of her shoes.

"Hey, Cheng Xiu, I didn't know that you were already here" She greeted going to his side immediately.

Cheng Xiu's polite expression immediately turned soft upon seeing her.

"You look beautiful princess today" He praised which made Feng Shi give a timely blush.

"Oh? And I normally don't?" She teased batting her lashes and pouting her lips.

Cheng Xiu'x eyes widened before frantically shaking his head. "No, it's not like that. You look beautiful always. You just look more stunning today that's all" He amended trying to assure her.

Feng Shi grinned and playfully shoved him as she headed outside. "I know, I'm just kidding. Come on before we are too late."

Cheng Xiu nodded and turned towards Feng Hien to bid goodbye but was stopped by Feng Shi.

But as she was about to say something cynical towards the two-faced woman, she swallowed it back and simply pulled him along.

"Are you not going to say goodbye to your mother?" Cheng Xiu wondered but Feng Shi just looked away not wanting him to see her disgust and contempt.

But to Cheng Xiu who always doubted Feng Shi's timid attitude and her fearful expressions towards certain actions before. He wondered if his doubt before is true, did he just say something wrong?

To him, Feng Shi looked so small and fragile as she looked down, seemingly stifling her emotions that it made his eyes narrow. It seems that he needs to restart hiring a detective again.

When they reached the venue, Feng Shi was impressed with the number of people surrounding the building.

"Welcome to the Techno Center, Feng Shi" Cheng Xiu welcomed opening the door for her.

The circular building was made with glass walls with a gigantic screen advertising the event.

The Techno Center is one of the buildings owned by the Cheng Family. This is where most conferences, gaming championships, new robotics presentations, and any events that the Cheng Company holds are.

The crowd was bustling with excitement as IT geniuses from around the country.

This was not a part of the plot too but she just shrugged it off as another overlooked information from the plot. But if she had only dogged deeper she would have realized the strangeness of the situation.

Cheng Xiu proudly gave Feng Shi a tour of the building. Showing off the newest tech that their company has patented or bought.

From robots that serve refreshments, the holographic training center, the high-end gaming rooms, and many more.

The whole building practically screens the future amazing Feng Shi.

"Come on, this is our room and the contest is about to start" Cheng Xiu guided her towards the room.

It was more of a lounge with a table fully equipped with The Cheng's IT group's latest computers. In front of the table was a glass wall that shows the greenery in the middle of the building but also a holographic scoreboard and timer.

Cheng Xiu logged into the computer and Feng Shi sat on the couch behind him since the screen was big enough for her to see what is going on there.

Xiao Wang, on the other hand, lay beside the computer interested in what is about to happen.

"Right, Feng Shi the refreshments are in the mini-fridge over there, as for those snacks those are for you. The ones in the black box are for Xiao Wang and if you need something just push the red button" Cheng Xiu instructed not telling her that he had asked the vets what food is suitable for an overly obese wolf.

"Got it thanks" Feng Shi replied putting Xiao Wang's food in his food bowl before taking a cupcake for herself.

Cheng Xiu smiled at hr on east time before focusing on his screen.

Ding!

The glass window turned red for a second indicating the start of the competition and Cheng Xiu immediately activated his firewall system while breaching the others' computer programs.

He had reinforced his own defense very well and had complete confidence in them and so started tearing down others' walls one after the other.

The names on the screen started disappearing one after the other as time went by indicating that their protection walls have been breached.

Feng Shi watched in amazement as rows upon rows of codes appears on the screen trying to make sense of most of it.

During the first wave of attacks, Cheng Xiu did not have many difficulties but when only eight of them remains, he could not help but start to get even more serious.

Feng Shi stood from where she sat and noticed bent over with one of her hands supporting her weight and her head inches away from his, eyes focused on the screen.

He frowned as his seventh wall was penetrated by someone code-named Bl4ze 5. Overall he had nine firewalls but two have been taken down by this guy already while he had only taken down one.

When she looked at her side, she noticed Cheng Xiu sweating slightly but with eyes blazing with a fiery passion.

She immediately took her handkerchief and wiped his sweat for her.

Cheng Xiu only momentarily froze before focusing back on the competition.

If he wants to impress Feng Shi, he needs to win this.

he clenched his fist and attacked harder while also defending against the other's onslaught of attacks.

Feng Shi glanced at the holographic scoreboard and noticed that it was only Cheng Xiu and Bl4ze 5 left.

Cheng Xiu was down to four walls while the other was down to six.

"You can do it Cheng Xiu, I believe in you" She encouraged kissing his cheek before focusing back on the screen.

As if something within him awakened, Cheng Xiu attacked more fiercely before managing to tie the numbers to two more walls.

The battle between the tech geniuses was fierce and as Cheng Xiu's final wall was about to fall...

"Done!" Cheng Xiu exclaimed inputting the final code and crumbling the other wall.

Feng Shi stared at the screen in shock at first before hugging Cheng Xiu.

"You've won!" She celebrated making Cheng Xiu grin at her.

"I've won" He breathed out in relief as well looking into her sparkling eyes.

He could not help the pride that swell in his heart as Feng Shi looked at him with brilliant eyes celebrating his victory with him.
