As Yu Qingyu returned to his room, a pleasant surprise waited for him there.
On the windowsill, there sat Liu Wei, resting his back on the window frame, and carelessly dangling one of his legs outside. He was looking somewhere into the distance, with an unreadable expression on his face, as he casually petted the very same squirrel Yu Qingyu met earlier this morning.
Hearing the door open, he turned his head, flashing a light smile at his opponent. "Hey."
Yu Qingyu's cheeks involuntarily flushed up in an adorable shade of pink, just from seeing Liu Wei genuinely smile at him. His heart was fluttering, and butterflies were wreaking havoc in his stomach. He was completely overwhelmed by this unexpected, newly-found happiness.
At that moment, the thought that it might be the start of something good finally sneaked its way into his heart.
