As Liu Meiling poured her heart out to Zhang Haoran, she was met with a cold rejection that cut through the buzzing cafeteria. His icy words echoed, leaving Liu Meiling devastated and tears streaming down her face. The other young masters seized the opportunity to tease Zhang Haoran, their mischievous remarks only fueling his annoyance.

Wang Tianming (Second Young Master): Well, that was harsh. Even I wouldn't have been that cold.

Li Xinjie (Third Young Master): Zhang Haoran, you could've let her down more gently. Now, you've made her cry in front of everyone.

Chen Zhenwei (Fourth Young Master): Ah, the first young master has a heart of ice.

As the quartet bantered, Liu Meiling, in tears, fled the scene, seeking solace from her friend Mo Lina. She recounted the cruel rejection, prompting Mo Lina to intervene. With a soft and kind demeanor, she approached the quartet.

Mo Lina: Excuse me, gentlemen. I understand matters of the heart can be delicate, but Zhang Haoran, you could've been more considerate. You made my friend cry.

Zhang Haoran, irritated by the interference, exchanged sharp words with Mo Lina.

Mo Lina: Zhang Haoran, rejecting someone is one thing, but you didn't have to be so heartless. You made Liu Meiling cry in front of everyone.

Zhang Haoran: (coldly) It's none of your business. Stay out of it.

Mo Lina: (defiantly) It is my business when my friend is involved. You should learn some compassion.

Meanwhile, Li Lili, holding trays of food, was on the lookout for a seat when the drama unfolded. In the midst of the commotion, she was accidentally pushed, causing her to spill the food on Mo Lina, and also falling to the ground.

Mo Lina: (accusingly) Lili, was that intentional?

Li Lili: (feigning distress) No, no! I got pushed, and the food spilled. Are you okay?

As Lili emitted whincing sounds, her friends rushed to her aid, creating a diversion from the ongoing confrontation

Their exchange of words , drew the attention from Lili's friends who were now trying to help her up. Mo Lina's accusation that Lili intentionally spilled the food earned her disapproving glares.

Liu Xin: (annoyed) Seriously, Mo Lina? Accusing Lili of doing that on purpose?

Wang Minghui: Yeah, not cool. We all saw what happened.

Meanwhile, banter and whispers erupted among the classmates who had come with Lili, Liu Xin, and Wang Minghui.

Classmate A: Drama in the cafeteria again. This time involving the quartet!

Classmate B: Did you see Zhang Haoran rejecting that girl? Ouch.

Classmate C: And now Lili got dragged into this mess. What a day.
