67 Arc 5.8 Empress of Four Kingdoms

Suddenly, the newcomer was shoved aside by another pretty young man with loose long black hair and a peculiarly high-pitched voice,

"Bro! Didja find sis-in-la--HHHHHHH!!!"

Before he could finish his last word, he let out an earth-shattering gasp when his sight was drawn to Li Feifei's hand on the prostitute's chest. Then, he exaggeratedly covered his eyes with both hands and mumbled to himself repeatedly,

"What one cannot see, shall not be...what one cannot see..."

At this point, Li Feifei had taken the initiative to take her hands out of the woman's clothing.

And even though she knew she did nothing wrong, there was no way she would be let off so easily.

After all, she was caught in the act, breast-handed.

Sure enough, the first man attempted to drag her out by swinging her over his shoulder like a sack of rice. She got a good view of his ass so she didn't complain.

However, some people had trouble reading the turbulent mood. Or perhaps he just didn't care as Long Zheng grabbed onto her devil's arm and stopped him from leaving.

"Who are you? Where are you taking my..."

How could her devil let him finish his question?

He glowered at the young General, "Who are you?"

Bai Ping sat to the said with a slight smile as if watching a good show. She even had all of the women beside her to console them since everyone else seemed to be involved with whatever was going on between the strange man and Li Feifei one way or another.

Meanwhile, ignoring the two men, Li Feifei was complaining to 001 asking why he didn't tell her about her hubby's arrival.

[System did tell you that Hua's ambassadors were arriving soon.]

'But you didn't say one of them was coming here!' Li Feifei rebuked. She knew that this man always drank up a whole bunch of vinegar no matter what she did.

Thinking of this, she felt indignant. It's not like she overdid anything!

Zero, who stood to the side, was also full of schadenfreude as he crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame with a slight smile pasted across his annoyingly feminine face.

"I am her fiancé," Long Zheng darkly answered, with traces of threatening laced in his voice.

To this, the devil slapped her butt then squeezed it in anger.

Good, very good, wife.

Li Feifei rolled her eyes as she reached for his in retaliation, "He is my ex-fiancé!"

She gave him a little pinch as she clarified.

The childish devil smugly looked at Long Zheng with one brow raised, "How about that."

Long Zheng's face was dark, Why is she trying to explain to this random man? Who is he?

"Who are you?" He asked through gritted teeth as he glared at the darker man before him.

Unfortunately, his threatening gesture didn't work as the southern man simply smirked, "Since she's no longer your fiancée then it's none of your business."

Then he walked out of the room with Li Feifei still held over his shoulder like a lifeless ragdoll.

Long Zheng tried to chase them, but the feminine man who he presumed to be the other man's companion blocked the door with his thin body. No matter what the young general did, he just couldn't get past the seemingly weak and fragile lady-man.

After a short while of silence as the devil walked down the hallways on their way out of the brothel, Li Feifei finally gathered her courage.

"Hey, who are you."

But she already had a vague idea.

"Take a guess," he squeezed her ass with his large hand again.

"Hua? And from Zero's girly looks, Shen?"

Hua's new and upstart emperor, Hua Shen, who was enthroned not even a month ago. The former childish Sixth Prince of Hua...

And the pretty-faced Zero was probably his personal eunuch.

But looking at Hua Shen, there was not even the slightest semblance of childishness in his features. He was supposed to be one year younger than herself, but all she saw was a big teenager with a firm ass.

"Like what you see?" He hoarsely asked her. She could feel the vibrations caused by his baritone voice whenever he spoke.

He was still mad at her for being frivolous while he wasn't around, but hearing how she took the initiative to break off her engagement with some other man early on, he felt slightly better.

"En," there was no reason for Li Feifei to deny. After all, her devil was truly a feast for her eyes.

They finally made it outside.

Hua Shen tossed Li Feifei into his carriage, then pressed himself on top of her without waiting for the carriage curtains to fall back down. His large arms entrapped her with his elbows placed on both sides of her head and the weight of his chest weighed down upon her own. The carriage set off as soon as the curtain finally fell over and isolated them from the rest of the world.

Li Feifei's gaze was stuck at the young emperor's sexy collarbone and bobbing Adam's apple rather than his face for a short while.

"Do you know what you did wrong?" He asked with his deep, post-puberty voice.

"I didn't do anything wrong," she protested stubbornly.

It wasn't even her fault that the prostitute snuck her hand into her hanfu. And even more so, it wasn't her fault that the woman wasn't wearing anything underneath it.

Hua Shen lowly sighed and his large, coarse palm gently caressed her smooth white cheek as his other arm encased her in a hug.

When she raised her gaze, Li Feifei saw that he was pouting and he looked like he was about to cry. But it's obvious he was trying his best not to.

Li Feifei was instantly dumbfounded and dazed by the sight.

Was he being serious?

"Fuck..." He mumbled darkly, then sank his head to bury into the crook of her neck, taking in the scent of her long black hair that draped under her and all over the carriage seat.

"Uh, you okay?" She hesitantly asked, not sure if she should bring her listless arms up to pat his back or something.

"No," he shook his head, nuzzling it against her as he did so, and she could feel his hot breath puffing against her skin and hair.

Still in a daze at this newfound experience, Li Feifei finally brought one hand up to rub his back; the other rose to his head, feeling the surprisingly soft and fluffy long hair despite its coarse and wild look.

Feeling her movements, Hua Shen hugged her tighter, then seeing as she wasn't going to inquire anymore, he let out an aggrieved voice, "You didn't wait for me."

"I did," she was confused. She was even considering looking for him on her own!

He sighed, sounding like a jealous wife who was wronged by her cheating husband, "Then why were you hanging out at a brothel when you already have me?"

"I was bored," Li Feifei plainly answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Hua Shen's arms tightened around her, "You told me you'd try to fall in love with me."

"I am trying."

He didn't seem convinced as he laid silently against her considerably smaller body.

After all, if she really did try, wouldn't she have been waiting obediently rather than playing with others without any sense of propriety?

"What, you gonna give up?" She taunted provocatively as she stared up at the carriage ceiling. Not that she would let him just up and leave with her baby.

"No," he unhesitantly declared as he slowly shook his head, "Never."

Then he raised his head and stared intently into her eyes, but his slightly watery eyes kept her in her daze.

Since when was her devil so emotional?

Noticing her confusion, Hua Shen glanced away before returning his gaze to Li Feifei's, then explained, "It's been a long time since I've last been in such a young body. Not to mention the original was initially a child through and through."

So to say, he was suffering from the same phenomenon she did in the third world where she let the original body's hate for werewolves steer her body. Except in his case, his emotions were harder to hide...?

He suddenly dropped his head, smashing his lips onto hers as he growled, "I was perfectly fine before, but then you had to rile me up by cheating on me."

"I didn't cheat on anyone," Li Feifei rolled her eyes.

"But it hurts to see you with someone else," he complained before pursing his lips, "I'm jealous."

When he saw that she wasn't even thinking of repenting, he narrowed his eyes and huffed, "Did you miss me even a little bit?"

Li Feifei didn't hesitate as her arms pulled him even closer to snuggle and she closed her eyes to rest after a long and fun day, "En. Missed."

Having not expected that answer, Hua Shen was surprised as he propped his body up by the elbows to peer intently into the princess's eyes that had opened due to his abrupt shift in posture. He was trying to decipher if she had just spoken to console him or if she truly meant what she said.

"What?" She skeptically looked back at him with one brow raised in questioning.

He smiled brightly and his eyes were still glistening with unshed tears, "I missed you."

They had been separated for almost a month. Only he knew how much he wanted to just teleport to her side somehow but he wanted to set up a stable foundation to make the mission easier for his wife to complete.

"En," Li Feifei closed her eyes again seeing as he was just being clingy. More importantly, his smile was too bright and she thought she would go blind if she didn't look away.

"I missed you a lot," he snuggled her into his body with his strong arms and rubbed his cheek against her jawbone and neck.

He was too happy that she at least considered him enough to miss him!

"Mm," she mumbled in reply, continuing to leisurely caress his noticeably muscular back and playing with his long black hair with her slender fingers.

Like this, she hoped he'd just put the previous incident in the past.

Unfortunately her devil tended to hold grudges.

"I'll get you back later," he bit her earlobe hard, but not enough to draw blood, then he licked it as if slightly regretting his action.

Tentatively, Hua Shen asked, "Next time, can you wait for me obediently? I won't let you wait for so long ever again, okay?"

He waited nervously for her answer, while Li Feifei was weighing the pros and cons of her choices.

If she agreed, then she'd have to turn away from all of the hot men and women in the future worlds and thus her experience wouldn't be as exciting as she'd initially planned ah!

But if she denied then it would feel like she was breaking her promise to give him a chance from the last world. Feel like, were the key words.

She didn't want to change the way she lived her life! It's not like she was pushing every one of those men and women down and taking their chastities. She was just having fun.

Obviously, this vinegar jar wasn't having any of it, and when she thought of how much fun he had in his first thousand years she immediately came to a decision.

"As long as you're not around, I'm going to continue to live the way I want to. It will depend on how fast you get to me. This is as much as I will yield to you."

Besides, just because he was pursuing her did not mean she was supposed to try to accommodate him, no matter how much he tried to convince her otherwise.

In the first place, it was a one-sided pursuit, while she had only promised to give him a chance. It wasn't like she was actually two-timing or giving him any false hopes by continuing her way of life anyway as she never deliberately went too far in her interactions with others.

When he was about to protest, she interrupted him with her last threat, "You got to have so much fun already so naturally you don't understand where I'm coming from. But me, I just started this competition for the first time and I still haven't seen everything there is to see yet.

"You will always be my second priority, okay? With our baby as number one and the missions as three. Everything else is irrelevant, but I still want to have fun and you can't stop me or our deal is over."

When Li Feifri threw in his past like that, Hua Shen wanted to call her unfair, but he knew she was right. But just like Li Feifei, Hua Shen wasn't the type to yield so easily just because the road was riddled with many twists and turns.

But of course just the fact that she considered him a higher priority than the missions was already enough to send him to cloud nine.

"Fine."

He'd just have to get to her before she could gather anymore bees and butterflies. With this line of thought, he was almost satisfied until she brought his mood up another level.

"Don't get me wrong, I won't just leave it to you to search for me in each world. While I have my own fun, I'll be looking for you too."

It's for our little baby, after all.

"Okay," Hua Shen beamed, then sat up while pulling Li Feifei up with him. Then, he sat her in his lap and wrapped his warm arms around her slim waist as his chin rested on the space between her neck and shoulder.

After a short moment of harmonious silence as the two had finally resolved the issue of Hua Shen's jealousy somewhat, Li Feifei finally thought to ask, "Where are we going?"

"The palace," Hua Shen matter-of-factly stated.

"Oh." To propose a marriage alliance, huh.

Knowing that she understood his intentions, Hua Shen was extremely pleased.

"Wife knows me best," He kissed her neck, sucking it, licking it, and leaving his mark against her otherwise spotless white skin.

It wasn't long before the carriage finally arrived at the palace.
