Tang Fei Academy was a scattered jigsaw puzzle of buildings. It was not as cluttered as the South-Eastern Region, but it sure did not have any sibilance of organization. Yet, the buildings seemed to give the feeling of being one cohesive unit.
The square-like buildings for general lectures, the broad buildings with dome roofing for indoor practicing and mass lectures. The towering buildings were specifically for instructors to do their work and live, and the gardens scattered around were for dao discussions.
There was even a section north of the Academy that was barred off for anyone that was below the status of a core disciple. However, the regular disciples had a place to reside located east of the training arena that was used for the opening examinations.
However, a certain person was not raised in Tang Fei City, so like an idiot, he went west into the thicket of the Martial Academy. Since he was so oblivious to the unspoken customs of Tang Fei Martial Academy, he did not move to the waiting area like the rest but wandered around like a lost puppy.
It did not help that he stood out like a giraffe in a grassland since he did not get the uniform that was in the residence quarters. Fortunately, one of the onlookers decided to help the poor lost fellow find the resident quarters.
He was so grateful for the onlooker's help that he bowed repeatedly, causing her face to redden.
With this advice, he headed east for the resident quarters... to no avail since it was still long before the bonus round was finished. Thus no one was there to give him his uniform, residence key, or anything.
He understood that he was probably at the right place but not the right time so he spun tail and continued to explore the rest of Tang Fei Martial Academy.
Throughout his tour, he found the cafeteria, more lecture rooms, club facilities and stores, and even a forgery. After about 5 minutes of walking, he finally found what he was looking for, the library. It was nearer to the lecture rooms, but being so large and singular, it could only be confused with the Alchemy and Medicine Facility that it on the other side of the Martial Academy.
Sadly, mostly due to the fact that he was not wearing his uniform, he was not allowed inside the library; so he had to just wait under the canopy of a tree by the side. That quickly did not work for a seven-year-old who was eager for martial arts and was literally sitting on his opportunity to achieve it. That was like flashing meat at a starved tiger.
He always felt that he should be using every opportunity to advance or else he might just lose the miraculous opportunity he was given. However, he did not know what to do in this place given he does not have any identification.
Then it occurred to him that he still had unfinished business that started in the Desolate Fang Pagoda. With that, he leapt from the ground and dashed for the richest essence in this academy that he can find.
Save from the core disciple area, there were two other areas he could go to. One was the Desolate Fang Pagoda, which made sense given that it could project so many strong opponents for multiple people simultaneously. Another was an instructor's herb garden, which obviously is full of various essence-rich herbs, but it is also obviously risky.
If any the instructors were to catch wind of what he is trying to do he would be in big trouble. However, since it was the middle of the day and it is also the opening examinations day, most instructors should be away from their residences.
"Well, they say that every opportunity rides a dangerous wind." He shrugged his shoulders and stealthily dashed for an instructor's garden ad positioned himself in the densest of essence. He directed the essence into his body using the special ability that his restructured bones have. However, he instead forced the essence to his visceral organs.
In the Desolate Fang Pagoda, he accidentally triggered his breakthrough, but since he was cornered, he had to forego the opportunity. Doing that damaged his progress somewhat; however, he now had the opportunity to extract enough to make up for the damage and fully step into the Organ Mending Stage.
It is one thing to have a powerful skeletal frame, however, a cultivator would need to have a strong visceral base to support himself when the pressure increases due to stronger breakthroughs. Hence, he desired the best place to cultivate so that he can have the most perfect breakthrough.
So he sat there cultivating, zoning out all that was around him. He did not even remember that he was in a risky place and could be caught at any time. By the time he completed his breakthrough, the sun was already descending the hills.
He did not do anything crazy this time like reconstructing his organs; he just reinforced them with as much essence as possible. It surely was not going above and beyond, but it was still a more than perfect breakthrough.
He stretched his hand in the air and arched his back to hear the cricks. "Ah, that should be it for now. The sun is already going down so I should be cautious and escape before someone finds me."
"A little too late for that idea, come up with another."
