Final Request

Rishi looked at his father for a brief moment and said, "If that is what you want, I will gladly accept it. As a filial son I will do my duties and keep my promises. I am not someone who breaks promises."

Raj and Sumitra gave thumbs up to Rishi. He is hitting on his ego.

"So tell me father, are you going to break your promise?" Rishi again asked with a smirk.

"Huh.. I am not like that. I am the King of the Great Iris Kingdom. How can I break my promise I will gladly give those lands to him. After all that is my gift to that nasty fellow," Chakravarthi replied.

'When did it become a gift?' Raj thought to himself.

"That's great. I know that the almighty king of Iris will never break his promise. You are my inspiration father" Rishi added.

'These two deserve a round of applause' Raj thought.

"So! what is your second request?" Chakravarthi asked while taking the tea cup from the table.

"Declare me as the King of IRIS, immediately" Rishi stated his second request.

Chakravarthi stopped in his actions and asked "Why is this a request? I already mentioned that if you win the war, you will be the next king"

Rishi smiled and replied, "Yes. But I want to be the anointed King within one week, if possible"

"What?"

Rishi never wanted the throne in a hurry. He wanted to know everything before he adorned the throne but situations are demanding now. He is guessing the possibilities of facing the Rose army soon.

His only aim is not only to help Ashmita but also to destroy the Rose Kingdom. He got a piece of information about their activities. He will never forgive them for trying to harm his father.

Whatever their intention can be, they need to pay the price for their deeds.

"No..That is not possible. There are so many things that need to be set in motion before enthroning you as the King of Iris." Chakravarthi Declined his request.

"Father. I will take care of all those things within a week. So let's please complete this procedure as soon as we can." Rishi added.

"But why so suddenly? Don't tell me this again is to help your lover" Chakravathi deadpanned.

"Your Majesty. Why are you declining every request of our son? Are you really going to keep your promises? I really doubt your intentions now. His request is not something beyond your limit. We are planning to make him the King for Iris. The only difference is we are just preponing that event."

"What is there to be doubted? What if he wants to help his partner? What if he has other intentions or aims to achieve? Did you ever see that Rishi hurt our people or bring damage to our kingdom? He always keeps our people's safety as priority" Sumitra fumed.

Everyone in the room was shocked. Sumitra never raised her voice in front of king Charavarthi. She always obeys and respects his decision. But today they just saw a new Sumitra.

"Umm.. That is not my intention my queen. As a king I need to know the reasons behind his intention. My priority is also the safety of our kingdom" Chakravarthi explained patiently.

"So you don't believe your own blood?" Sumitra deadpanned.

"No. Not like that. 'Sigh' Fine we will enthrone you as the king of Iris as you requested." Chakravarthi accepted his request.

"Thanks mother for understanding me very well. And father, don't worry, I will never bring harm to our people" Rishi assured.

Sumitra smiled and said, "I know my son"

Chakravarthi nodded his head and asked, "What is your final request?"  

"My final request is that you and mother will agree to my marriage alliance with Jasmine Kingdom Princess Ashmita" Rishi stated his final request.

"Rishi. Are you sure? I am not asking you again as a denial of your request but to warn you about the consequences. It is not possible to take down Rose Kingdom" Chakravarthi stated.

"Father. I know from where you are coming. But tell me how many years we are going to fear him. He is not an immortal, he is also like us humans. But we are treating him as some immortal power."

"Rest assured father if we slice the skin of him only blood will come. So don't worry about him, I will take care of him" Rishi explained.

"My main reason is not only to support Ashmita's father but also to take revenge for hurting you." Rishi stated.

"What?"

"Yes father. Not only you, I guess he is planning to wipe everyone." Rishi remarked.

Rishi explained to them about the information he gathered when he visited cosmos. They couldn't believe their own ears.

"How dare he? What does he think about himself? God or Immortal?" Chakravarthi fumed with anger.

"Yes Rishi. We are not weak to crumble. Just do as you planned, nobody should stand breathing with a thought to hurt the throne" Sumitra added.

"That is the reason I want to end him father. I know it is not possible for us to defeat him but you know only two hands together can make a clap possible."

"Yes, what I strongly wish is to marry that woman I love with all my heart. And I want that to happen with both of your blessings" Rishi stated.

"Ofcourse, my son. I've been eagerly waiting for this time. I am indeed very much excited to see you as a groom soon. I and your father will definitely go and ask for her hand in the marriage" Sumitra exclaimed with happiness.

"Brother I too am really very excited about your marriage," Raj added.

"Oh, is that so? IBut why do I smell something different here?" Rishi asked while raising his eyebrow.

"Huh. I am serious. I am really excited about your marriage." Raj defended himself.

"Yes. Yes I know you are only excited about marriage because you are expecting to flirt with other kingdom princesses at the ceremony. Aren't I right?" Rishi asked while crossing his hands.

"Mother. See, how low Rishi is thinking about me" Raj sulked and complained to Sumitra.

"Aioo. Rishi, don't tease your brother. Don't listen to his words Raj. I know your true intentions. You are not going to flirt with them, you actually want to bring another daughter in law for me. Don't you?" Sumitra added with a smile.

"Mother…!" Raj stomped on his feet and left the room.

The trio laughed at the antics and Rishi also took leave from the room.
