Little girl

School passed by but I didn't really pay attention

I'm also pretty sure I had a test in what I believe to be math class but I didn't even put my name down and just doodled on the test the whole time so pretty sure that I failed it

Mrs Cooper gave me the leftover cupcakes from a teachers birthday which was a bright side

But now I'm just heading back to my locker to put my stuff away so I can go home

I just left some time during last period before we were dismissed so I was the only person walking around in the halls

It just seems deserted...

The only sound I can hear comes from the Gym and my foot steps

Just when I'm about to turn a corner to get to my locker I feel somethings about to hit me so I shift away put my hands up against my head and close my eyes in a weak attempt to block what ever would come at me

But all I heard was someone hit the floor

I open quickly open my eyes and I see someone laying right in front of me just laying on the floor about to attempt at getting up with all their stuff now scattered around them

Looking down at the person I am not kind enough to help them pick up their stuff so I just walk around them and head to my locker and quickly leave

Once I get outside of school grounds I decided to just walk to my old preschool because school should already have been over for them and they have a pretty nice park

It takes me 45 minutes to get there while walking and sometimes dancing to music that came out of my phone

Once I get to my old preschool I start heading over to the swing that I have claimed as mine in my head

It always confused me why I picked this swing it's the furthest away from the actual playground equipment and it's not even one of the least squeaky swings

Now that I think about it I was a really strange and violent kid

I always solved my problems with violence back then and still do now sometimes

I have never been good with words...

Guess old habits really do die hard

With that thought I finally sit down on the swing and with my head down looking at the ground just start kicking at the wood chips underneath

I'm so distracted that I only notice that someone came near me when a little hand starts touching my shoulder

I look up and see a little girl no older then 8 looking at me while holding a pink fluffy bunny rabbit stuffed animal

"Will you play with me pretty lady" the little girl asks with a bright smile on her face

I look at her a moment stand up and with a small smile say

" Okay, what do you wanna play "

Her smile somehow grows bigger before she starts hopping around and says

"I WANNA PLAY HOUSE! "

She looks so silly my smile can't help but get bigger

"Okay so do you want me to be the mom or something else" I asked with a smiling face and a few giggles in between

" you shall be my daughter okay and I'll be the mom and lily here will be my baby okay! " she said while holding up the little bunny

" Okay" I said although I began to think this might be a bit weird on my part

We played house for I don't know how long but once it started getting dark I had to ask

" where are your parents?"

"Ohh I think my parents are still working right now.."

She says while looking away from me

"Don't you think they'll be worried if you stay out this late "

"No they probably wouldn't notice and I doubt they care even if they did " she says with a pout

"I bet that's not true who could not care about someone as cute as you" I say while bending down to her height

"Then why do they never make time for me! It's always WORK, WORK, WORK, whenever I try and ask them to play they just get mad! They don't care..." she yells and slowly gets quietly as she talks while walking a bit away

I walk over to her and say " Just in case your wrong, which I think you are... I'm gonna take you home okay silly billy" I pick her up and see her whole face has turned red and she looks like she's about to cry

" Do you know your address?"

"Umm... no but it's right across from right here so it's not far " she says while pointing to the house in the distance I believe to be hers

I start walking over and I see all the lights on and one police car

When I get a bit closer I see two parents talking to a police officer

When I get close enough and the parents see me they quickly run over leaving the officer behind only coming to a stop right in front of me

They quickly say thank you and ask questions before taking the little girl and her bunny away while hugging her and telling the officer everythings fine

I just stand there and stare at the house for a while not moving just staring silently
