Chapter2

#Chapter2

Jacen’s POV:

I am so unaware of my surroundings. I didn’t even notice that I’m back in my room, seating on the bed and definitely not ready to attend any classes. My mind is wandering over the thoughts of Sydney. No matter how hard I tried, I can’t sit like this and wait for Kassidy to sort this out.

Now I remember the past too. Sydney was Sapphire. I already knew her. It may be a long time ago, but I still remember those short days. We are kids by then and I forgot she is here. I know nothing about Sapphire in my childhood. She never mentioned that she’s the Slateville princess. It’s all been a secret for years.

/"It’s time for history class. Do you want to go?/" Noah asked, seated on a couch and not moved from there.

/"Do I look like I am in a mood for studying?/" I questioned him with irritation.

/"I know. I am not going to,/" Noah said and someone knocked on our door.

/"It’s open,/" I shouted as Amelia entered.

/"Aren’t you guys coming?/" she said, standing next to the door. She didn’t look calm, but she’s looking like she can move on just like that. Maybe she don't express herself. I don’t truly know her.

/"No. We are not. If you want, you can go. Get out,/" I snapped.

/"You both are coming. I am not talking about the classes. Leona is leaving the academy now. This is the last time we are going to see her,/" she raised her voice and closed the door and left. I wasn’t that harsh in talking? Was I?

/"Coming? Bro,/" Noah asked, looking at me. I nodded, and we both walked our way down the stairs and joined Amelia. I didn’t know Leona was leaving today because of Cassie and Bianca. She doesn’t deserve to leave this academy.

When we reached the entrance of the Academy, Leona and Issac are saying goodbye and hugged each other. I think the woman behind her is Leona’s mother. As fast as we could say goodbye, then I can go to see the Queen. I can’t keep sitting around like the situation is out of my hands. I want to tell the Queen that ‘I can go to hell’ to get my love back.

/"We are going to miss you. Where will you be studying in Slateville? Can I visit you anytime?/" Amelia asked, hugging her.

/"I will miss you guys too, and you can’t visit me. I guess it’s the goodbye,/" Leona said wiping her tears.

/"What? Why?/"

/"My parents are taking me to Ravewood. I am going to leave Slateville,/" she said, controlling herself not to let another tear down her cheek.

/"We can still contact you. We will find a way,/" Noah assured her, standing next to me. She nodded and I know what she’s going to talk about now.

/"I can’t be here to help to bring Sydney back from hell. She was there when I was in trouble, but I couldn’t do that. I hope you all find a way to get her back. Please contact me when Sydney’s safe and back here,/" Leona said, and there’s hope in her voice. I wish I could find that hope too.

After some sentimental moments, we all are back inside the academy. The moment didn’t last long. It’s only been half an hour since Sydney went into the portal. I miss holding her hands, her bookworm talks, her touch, her lips on mine. Everything feels like a dream. If I hadn’t broken up with Bianca, I wouldn’t have seen her that particular day. It’s all happened for a reason.

/"Kassidy’s here. I think we should talk to her. There’s no reason for attending the stupid classes. Who wants to pass this semester when Sydney isn’t even here with us? /"Noah suddenly said when all this time he stayed silent. My brother is good at hiding his emotions, thoughts, or anything. He doesn’t prefer to share it with anyone.

/"I said Kassidy needs some space to think. You guys will stress her and won’t let her think,/" Amelia yells at both of us.

/"I don’t care about fucking space. There’s only one day to save Sydney. Just 24 hours. Even if we went straight to hell, there won’t be enough time to save her,/" I yelled back at her. I feel like she’s stopping me and Noah from trying anything to save her. I shouldn’t listen to anyone. I’d rather be listening to my instinct. Right now, I want to go to hell.

/"You both are insane. Why can’t you be patient while Kassidy could.../"

/"Patience isn’t a solution. You blindly trust Kassidy because you don’t want to involve yourself in any problem. But we aren’t like that./" Noah shouted at her while all the students who pass the corridor stared at us.

/"Fine. You aren’t going to understand. You both are going to end up having a problem, then don’t regret this moment,/" she simply said and walked away. Who cares? I won’t regret it. I spotted Kassidy again seriously talking with Victoria. They both left the corridor.

/"Let’s go,/" I muttered as Noah and we reached them. I obviously expected Kassidy to shout at me for torturing her to get Sydney back, but I didn’t get that response.

/"You are here,/" The Queen told us like she was expecting us.

/"Yeah.../" Noah trailed off, seeing their expression. They both are speechless and I have no clue what is going on.

/"The time from here and hell differs. It may take a month in hell to reach a one day here,/" Kassidy explained.

/"What? A month? That’s why you are looking calm. A month is much difficult than a day. Do you think she will survive that long? Did you come up with a plan or not? /"I yelled unnecessarily, as I lost control of myself when Sydney broke up with me.

/"Stop stressing me. I have no idea how to get her back. I have never been to hell in my life. I can only transport others,/"

/"Then at least let me go there. I am volunteering myself. Goddamn, you are wasting all the time,/" I yelled as I punched my one hand on the wall right next to me. With the heavy force and pressure, the wall almost cracked when I looked at it.

/"Who are you? Why do you care more about my daughter? I am here letting her find a solution while you are easily asking her to send you to hell. It’s not as easy as you speak. No students are allowed to leave,/"
