Teo fought and fought, he swung his blade, used the dragon arm to diminish down the enemy numbers. He fought desperately, as he tried to erase the thought he had earlier. It isn't possible, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. Only somebody who understands him well, could see through all his plans and destroy it. However, this style of fighting is new to him. While his daughter was known in the Mist Kingdom as a famous beast master; she fought alongside her beasts. She didn't use them as sacrificial pawns. This brutal way of handling things resembled Luke's style more, but even then he had his doubts.
Is it possible that the demon possessing the Snow Kingdom Queen and possibly Luke possessed his daughter too? Teo shook his head; he knew that multiple possessions aren't possible, even those with the highest degree of magic. To begin with, the Empires magic system is odd. The highest degree of magic is forbidden magic, and there's no way to counter it with light magic. Though there are spells that come close, the outcome of a match is decided once one side knows forbidden magic, and yet it's something Queen Lyn avoids on using.
His thoughts broke off when he noticed human figures amongst the beasts. So, they are finally using people, huh? He supposes it was high time. It's a good thing that none of the men are left. Teo didn't have to look around to know that only he remained on his side. Gerald followed his orders far too well; even the wounded didn't stay. When he gets out of here, he shall reprimand the man and reward him at the same time. Now there is no need for him to hold back, he tore his armor from both sides and closed his eyes. Soon the scales appeared on his other arm, on his body and face.
Yes, his dragon side is something he could summon at will. But reverting to normal is something he finds difficult. That's why whenever he resorts to this, he makes sure the Queen is around. Only she could help him out. Even if he were to get out of this, Teo would have to head straight back to the Mist Kingdom. He cannot show anybody this side of him. Countless rumors have spread, but as long as people from his team don't see, then he can maintain a facade.
The men quickly surrounded him, dawned in the Snow Kingdom cloak. It looked like a sea of white figures were charging at him. They didn't bother to strategize and came at him in clunks. If they were wise enough to use their brains, they should have split up. Not like anybody here can match his strength, anyway.
It was easy for him, especially after activating his dragon side. He cut through the enemies one by one; the process was slow. But unlike previously, his speed and agility increased, so it did not take him long. After cutting down the enemies though, Teo noticed a figure coming at him quickly. He deflected the person's blade; it was a woman wearing a hooded cloak. The woman's weapon was the Chakram of Sol is a Chakram that can split in half and shaped like the sun. His eyes widened when he saw the weapon and examined the opponent.
Teo recognized those eyes immediately, and as soon as he did, the girl's hood fell off because of the sudden wind, "Cyann." Sure enough, it was his daughter. Since the last time he met her, she grew a lot taller. Her bright hair, however, had turned almost white like snow, it fell past her shoulders, "Daughter.." he called out, but the girl became angrier at those words. Her attacks became harsher and harsher. Teo looked at her with a pained smile, it's natural she's changed this much. After the disappearance or the death of her mother, Cyann was a complete mess.
When the Snow Kingdom Queen offered to take her in for a while until she calmed down, Teo accepted. He briefly saw her in the other war fighting alongside the Snow Kingdom Queen. She seemed to be doing well.
Teo thought that it would be a matter of time before she returned to his side. But then the Snow Kingdom started to distance themselves from the Mist. He knew something was amiss when Queen J's letters regarding his daughter stopped coming, so he went ahead and investigated the situation. He recalled Luke's words and asked, "This was because of you?"
Cyann laughed, "Yes it was. Even if the Queen is like that, it doesn't matter. I will take revenge on the Mist Kingdom. Because of the Mist Kingdom, because of them, mother died. And you were one of the ones who lead to her death."
"Cyann, your mother isn't dead. She's --"
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" Cyann screamed hysterically as she swung her weapons at him with more force, "Shut up, you have no right to call mothers name. You of all people. Where were you? Why didn't you fight alongside her? Why were you somewhere else? You knew the conditions of that fight, the risk and yet you were somewhere else! You were in a safe place and survived. It was all a ploy!"
Teo frowned at his daughters reply, where did she get that information from? No area in that battle was safe, the chance of death was high no matter what area, "Listen Queen Orthez --" Teo started.
The girl harshly cut him off, "Shut up! It's because of that stupid Queen that things ended up this way."
"Then if you hold a grudge, blame it on me. The present Mist Kingdom has nothing to do with the past."
Cyann shook her head, "The only reason Queen Orthez would take on such a risk is for her daughter. She played everybody the fool, but Queen Orthez loved that girl more than anyone. Well, did you get it? The jade to help prolong her life despite the consequences brought about her birthmark? You must have," Teo's eyes go wide at the girl's words, she knew everything. She knew. But who could have told her these things?
"I will never forgive you or the Mist Kingdom," Cyann's words were cold and sent a chill down his spine. It seems like the pain his daughter felt towards her mother's disappearance or death is more extensive than he thought. At this rate, Cyann's actions will harm the Queen.
'I will forgive you, General.'
As he recalled Queen Lyn's words, Teo closed his eyes and focused his strength on his blade and took a proper stance.
