Thinking of all the trouble Gu Shenyi brought him, Yu Huateng was furious and couldn't help pushing the stunned silent Gu Shenyi away.

Gu Shenyi fell with a loud thud on the ground. It didn't take long for blood to appear on her skirt but Gu Shenyi didn't seem to feel the pain coming from her stomach. Without caring about her well-being, Gu Shenyi looked at Yu Huateng pleadingly, "Yu Huateng, you were joking right? Say you were joking. You can't be meaning what you said at all."

Gu Shenyi chuckled and shook her head, "No, no, I must have misheard what you said. This is just my illusion. Yu Huateng would never say these words to me. He loves me, I know it."

Yu Huateng's expression twisted but when he saw the blood where Gu Shenyi sat on the floor, his heart skipped a beat and his hands trembled, causing the wine bottle to fall on the ground and shatter.

Yu Huateng was flustered as he princess-carried the still-smiling and muttering Gu Shenyi to his room and called for a doctor quickly.

"What happened again?" Yu Huateng's mom came to her son's room after hearing the commotion. The expression on her face was dark and sneering.

She clearly believed Gu Shenyi was making some fuss again to get her son's attention. However, when she saw all that blood, her expression turned even darker.

"Is she pregnant?" Yu Huateng's mom asked her son who was holding Gu Shenyi's hand and looking pale and full of fear.

"I don't know," Yu Huateng shook his head, his heart full of regret and fear. He was afraid of… Yu Huateng shook his head hard to drive the thought away.

"Don't you usually wear protection?" Yu Huateng's mom asked her son directly, expression complicated.

"No."

Yu Huateng's mom fell silent and sat on a chair, waiting with her son for the doctor to come.

It didn't take long for the family's doctor to come and examine Gu Shenyi. After a quick initial checkup, the doctor called for an ambulance, "Unfortunately, the Miss had a miscarriage."

Yu Huateng fell into the chair and held his head. His worst fear came true. He caused Gu Shenyi t to have a miscarriage. The baby they didn't even have a chance to rejoice knowing and celebrating died just like that, because of him.

Yu Huateng's whole body felt numb and guilt coursed through him, making it hard for him to breathe.

Yu Huateng's mom sighed and patted her son's shoulder. In the deepest part of her heart, she was glad this illegitimate child had died.

When Shi Yuxi comes back and marries Ah Teng, this child might have become a ticking bomb and a danger to her future grandkid.

As the two sat down with their own thoughts, Gu Shenyi was taken to the hospital and treated.

When Gu Shenyi woke up, the first thing she saw was Yu Huateng's exhausted face and the stubble on his chin.

Gu Shenyi fell into a daze. Usually, Yu Huateng was always handsome and neat. His beard was always shaved. His clothes had no wrinkles and his face was full of vigor. This was the first time she had ever seen him like this, disheveled and tired.

Gu Shenyi was about to open her mouth when a sharp pain hit her, making her nearly dizzy.

Seeing Gu Shenyi wake up, Yu Huateng breathed a sigh of relief and brought a cup of warm water to her mouth.

Yu Huateng helped Gu Shenyi drink before sitting down the glass at the side. "Shenyi, I am sorry."

Gu Shenyi managed a weak smile and shook her head, "Yu Huateng, don't worry about it. We can make more babies in the future. Actually, I don't feel anything in particular. I didn't even know I was pregnant so it's fine."

Yu Huateng didn't feel relieved at the words. As he was about to say something, Gu Shenyi looked away, "Please give me some time alone."

Yu Huateng lingered for a while before leaving. He didn't know what to say to comfort Gu Shenyi.

Gu Shenyi sat alone in the hospital room. Putting a hand on her stomach and stroking it, Gu Shenyi's eyes darkened.

Yu Huateng, she loved him with all her might. She was willing to give him her life. But the man looked down on her and considered her a slut.

Since Yu Huateng is so unfeeling, then don't blame her for being unfeeling too.

Gu Shenyi closed her eyes tightly as her jaw trembled. She didn't forget why she joined the Yu Family's household as a servant.

She went in with a hidden agenda for revenge and revenge she would take.

Yu Huateng and his entire family should be prepared for her wrath, for the wrath of a woman is unstoppable like a storm.

Wei Ying was frying an egg, her phone on the speaker. "She miscarried?"

Wei Ying was a little shocked at the news. Although Tian Xue sent her the video of Yu Huateng and Gu Shenyi's fight, she didn't think things escalated to this point.

"Yes," Tian Xue's voice was low, "However, something is wrong with Gu Shenyi. She is not right."

"How so?" Wei Ying put the egg on a plate and leaned against the kitchen counter.

"I can't pinpoint what is wrong with her, but her attitude towards Yu Huateng is definitely fishy." Tian Xue's voice was confused but nonetheless sure.

Wei Ying nodded in understanding. The two talked for a while more till the doorbell rang.

"I will go first," Wei Ying bid Tian Xue goodbye and went to see who came this early in the morning.

On the doorbell camera, Wei Ying saw Yu Huateng's mom standing tall with a purse in her hand and an elegant baby blue dress.

Wei Ying turned around indifferently and went to have her breakfast. She didn't have the time nor the patience to entertain Yu Huateng's mom.

Yu Huateng's mom on the other hand was so persistent that throughout the whole meal, the doorbell didn't stop from ringing.

Wei Ying ate the last bit of her egg before washing it down with a cup of orange juice.

After wiping her mouth leisurely, Wei Ying stood in front of the camera screen, "Leave or I will call the police." Wei Ying didn't beat around the bush.

"Yu'er, don't do this to Aunt. I can explain everything to you," Yu Huateng's mom frowned. Although she was dissatisfied with Wei Ying's attitude, she held back her temper and coaxed softly as if Wei Ying was some kind of bratty kid who was being difficult and throwing a tantrum.

Wei Ying rolled her eyes and leaned against the wall, "Sure, explain. I'm all ears. After I hear your explanation, I will decide whether to open the door or not."

Yu Huateng's mom lips tightened before easing, "You know how much Ah Teng loves you, however, Gu Shenyi seduced him and gave him what you couldn't, if you know what I mean. That girl, as you said before, is a spy sent by out business rivals. Yu Huateng merely played along with her but he got muddled a little on the way as he was dealing with her. Yu'er, you have to forgive Ah Teng. He has been drinking himself to sleep every day since the day you left."

Yu Huateng's mom sighed, "Even if you are angry, you two should talk it out instead of the current situation. This is all what others want to see."

Wei Ying almost burst out laughing. So now it was her fault for not giving her body to Yu Huateng? She was throwing a tantrum is Yu Huateng's mom's eyes? Was this woman for real?

Yu Huateng's mom didn't hear Wei Ying's internal complaints as she continued on, "Ah Teng is young and vigorous, besides the affair was before the engagement so it isn't considered cheating. Yu'er, you have to be more rational than this."

The more Yu Huateng's mom talked, the more Wei Ying felt her worldview get refreshed.

Yu Huateng's mom was really a piece of work. Wei Ying has never seen a more shameless person.

Wei Ying twisted her lips before smiling, "So Madam Yu, in your words, I'm still young and vigorous. Every night I sleep, I feel so lonely and empty. One of the servants at home happened to catch my attention and I slept with him. I'm only having a good time, right? It's before the engagement was official so it's fine right? After all, Yu Huateng wasn't able to give me what I want, if you know what I mean."

Yu Huateng's mom's face turned ashen, "It's not the same." Yu Huateng's mom shook her head, "Girls are different than boys. Yu'er, I know you're angry, but you shouldn't say something like this. Don't stoop so low and undermine your true worth."

See? This was internal misogyny at its finest. Yu Huateng's mom thought she should forgive Yu Huateng because he is a man and a man will always be a man.

She should tolerate his infidelity and mistreatment because why? She was the one who didn't fulfill his needs!!

She was the cause Yu Huateng betrayed her and the reason why he cheated on her!!

She is such a sinner and Yu Huateng is such an angel who deserves forgiveness.
