Chapter 3.9 searching for clues

[ Day 15; players: 15/100 Death: 85/100]

Liam woke up, rubbed the morning tears away. He lifted his hand to pull off the blanket that covering him.

He looked to the right to see the screen that three days have past, or two days and a few hours. Any-who, seeing that no one had died, it means that those three days where peaceful.

Liam faintly remembered Daniel coming and feeding him food. He was really here right? Or how did he survive without food this whole time ah.

Blinking his cute cat like eyes, he couldn't see anything as it was dark. Liam turned his head, he can hear small drops of water slowly dropping down somewhere.

Then his eye hit straight at those beautiful ruby eyes. It was the only thing he could see. Those red eyes have been staring at him with who knows how long.

Liam suddenly jumped in shock. Bumping into the bedpost. "Ah-ouch!"

"Liam!" the Rudy eyes shook and Daniel got up quickly

He hugged Liam and looked at Liam's arm that bumped onto the bedpost.

His beautiful ruby eye shown in worries. He only let out a breath when he see that Liam wasn't really hurt.

-Humans are fragile things.

Liam blushes as Daniel's close up on his arm. "S-stop looking!"

"Mm." Daniel replies while still looking at his arm.

Liam pushes him away.

Daniel looked at him and raise his hand.

A black hole appeared. And Daniel reaches inside, seeming trying to find something. Then he took out a odd looking fruit.

"Here, this will heal you." Said Daniel with a smile.

Liam looked at this odd looking fruit.

The fruity was purple with big whirls all around it. A hint of pink can be seem from the middle. It was as big as a apple, the fruit was very light. It had a faint orange smell, it looked like a mango. Liam was weirded out by the fruit.

Is this poisoned?

Liam carfuly hold the fruit. Staring at it for a long time.

And glance at Daniel. Liam showed an awkward smile and took a small bite.

And Liam was shocked out of his mind. The fruit tasted like coconut. And the texture was like a dragon fruits!

Liam bite it again and soon finished eating the fruit. The odd thing was that the fruit didn't leak any juice.

Liam didn't seem to notice that his bump didn't hurt anymore and the redness has disappeared.

Daniel sat there watching Liam chop the fruit like a hamster and smiled lightly.

I wish this game will never stop. But.... does Liam want that...?

Daniel smiled disappeared as soon as he thought of Liam leaving him.

After Liam changed clothes Daniel was nowhere to be seen. Liam looked at the door and felt.. a bit lonely.

Xiong: Host! Am still here!!!

Liam: Ah. Forgot about you, sorry.

Xiong: (#丶𠆢'#)

Liam: ...

Liam: Heheh, sorry. Anyway. What's the plot now?

Xiong: it's supposed to be the time where you find clues. The player's will be free to Rome around the mansion. But if caught by the ghost maids then you will be taken to the cell's. Players can help the capture players out but if caught then they will be killed.

Xiong: Though small amount of players are binding in there rooms. Most players go out to find hidden items or hints for a different story.

Liam: oh~

Xiong : the butler had already announce the game started. Host was sleeping like a pig and didn't heard anything.

Liam: oh, so I sleep like a pig huh.

Xiong: .... n-no! Host just didn't hear it! It's all that Daniel fault! He block the sound from coming in!

Liam: aww~ he's such a sweetie.

Xiong: ...

Liam chuckled lightly, ah teasing his little system is always so fun. His reaction is always funny.

Liam walked to the door but he noticed that there seem to be breakfast on the table that wasn't there before.

Liam smiled at sat there and stabbed the sausage and started to eat.

When Liam finishes eating, thirty minutes has already passed. Wiping his lips, Liam got up and walked out of the room.

Looks like it's time to do the Special task.

Finding the murderer.

So there must be hints some where. The plot didn't write where did they die so he may need to search everywhere. Let's start with the duke's study. As most important information is normally store there.

There isn't any map so it's hard to pin point where anywhere is in the mansion.

Liam walked upstairs as normally noble live upper the floor, the more important they are the higher their room is. And since I'm searching for the duke's study. It most likely on the top floor.

Just as Liam walk the last step on the staircase. The whole scenery of the mansion changed. The new and clean looking mansion changed into an old and dusty mansion.

No one has stopped him. But Liam thinks the real danger is getting to the duke's study then being there.

Staring at the long hallways. There seems to have many twist and turns in this floor.

Liam look at all of then and randomly choose one. "Okay! The third one!" Liam said to himself and encourage himself.

He walk slowly to the third hallway. After three minutes of walking. He suddenly stopped.

A loud shrieking and bumping running sound shocked him.

Liam hid himself behind a vase and saw maid that has blood stains on her face dripping down to her white apron. Dieing her apron blood red, she dragged the player away slowly. But she seems to had noticed something. That someone is there.

Liam shivered and quickly randomly open a door and hind in it.

Liam's face was pale as he try to lower is breathing sound. His eyes was watering.

Suddenly someone hugged him from front.

Liam was shocked stiff.

"It's alright. You're be okay. Your big cousin is here!" Daniel whispered

Daniel gently patted Liams back. And picked him up.
