Chapter Eleven

Alex's POV

"So you're saying that you're agreeing to go against me?" I asked, offended.

"Of course, for a million dollars, c'mon, you ain't worth any shit." Oliver answered.

"Look, I know that James is a criminal but I'm your brother, I mean our brotherly connection can beat any other connection." I said and he laughed.

"I don't work for love bro, I work for money, just stay out of James lane, he might ask me to kill you and I won't hesitate to do so."

My heart raced and I punched him in his jaw and he screamed in pain. I flipped him and put him in a tight headlock. He tried to grab me from behind and succeeded in kicking him in his knees.

He grabbed my head snapping it to the wall, I fell down in pain and rolled to the other side. "You're an asshole." I punched him in the face and he fell down.

He pushed me and grabbed my neck swinging me on the table with a thud, I felt my heart beat stop as I was badly injured.

He kicked me hard in the chest knocking me with a force that threw me on the floor. I landed on my back, winded and rolled into my side to catch my breath.

"Look, I don't want to hurt you because Lisa saved me before from an accident but I'll kill you if you try anything." Oliver said.

I cleaned my mouth in pain, blood slowly coming out, I coughed again and frowned. "You asshole." I cursed and he spat on the floor and walked out.

I managed to stand up, I wanted to call for someone to help me, Lisa might be with James right now but she was the only one I could rely on.

I crawled to my chair and picked my phone from the floor, I looked for her number.

James's POV

I looked at Lilian in annoyance. "You've succeeded in spoiling my chances of getting in bed with her."

"You're a selfish freak." She insulted.

"Really babe?"

"Don't call me babe." She protested and I laughed.

"Look, it's better you leave now before I do something I'll regret in the future, I certainly don't regret my actions though, just leave." I warned.

"I'm not leaving until I get a full explanation and I mean, in details."

"Okay fine, I accept that I've been a bad person, I love you and I want to propose to you right now but absolutely not here." I lied.

"Why? Oh my God, I'm so excited, propose to me here, I want everyone to hear." She said excited.

"No, my parents don't want me to marry now, please follow me to the restroom." I pleaded and she frowned.

"I'm not going anywhere with you."

"Okay, I'll keep my ring to myself or propose to the girl you met here." I said as I stood up.

"Fine, come and meet me in the restroom." She replied and entered the restroom.

I cleared my throat and drank a cup of water before following her into the restroom.

Lisa's POV

I walked inside only to find my parents with a police officer. "What's wrong?" I asked surprised.

"You didn't come home last night, it was only right that we called the cops." My mom answered with a smile.

"It was her idea." Dad protested and I frowned.

"It wasn't not necessary, I'm not a kid, I'm an adult who's supposed to be married." I replied and turned to the police officer. "I'm sorry they bothered you."

"It's okay ma'am, it's our job anyway." He replied and walked out of the house after carefully slamming the door.

"I'm sorry we called the cops, I just couldn't bear you to be away from us for a minute."

"Really?" I asked sitting on the sofa. "Then why did you ask me to work for Mr Alex?" I asked.

"We needed the money." Dad answered.

"Can you hear yourself? You don't need me but you need the money."

"Look, it's a silky mistake but you're not dead, nothing bad has happened to you." She reminded.

"You should not be quick to call the cops every time I'm not around, people carry false information to social media."

My phone rang and the caller ID showed Alex, I hissed and cut the call.

"So how was your job? The birthday party was really successful, we watched it on TV, Alex's idea was great."

"It wasn't Alex's idea." I replied and they frowned.

"What do you mean?" Dad asked.

"He stole the credits, I brought up the idea, I might still sue him to court for ..."

Dad interrupted. "For what exactly? For alleged stealing of ideas?" He retorted and laughed. "Who would believe such story?" He asked and I frowned.

My phone rang again and I picked it. "Alex, don't disturb me." I said.

"Please come to my house." He pleaded over the phone. I heard his faint voice, like someone who was at the verge of death.

"Alex, what's wrong?" I asked, my heart skipping a beat.

"Please come."

The line went dead immediately. I dropped my phone on the sofa and ran out of the house.

James's POV

"So Lillian, you actually thought I'll ask you to marry me?" I asked and she frowned.

"I'm not ready for jokes, you're expected to kneel down, bring out the ring." She answered and I chuckled.

"I don't love you."

"You just told me you love me few minutes ago."

"I don't love, I'm a criminal, I'm a psycho, I'm a psycho Billionaire and I've killed a lot of people." I confessed with a grin on my face.

"You're joking, stop all these jokes already." She said with fear as I wore a glove.

"Of course." I replied and brought out a knife, before she could scream for help, I sent the knife into her stomach and slit her throat. I watched as blood gushed out, that was the exact same thing I'd do to Lisa if she refuse me.

I'll kill her.

I removed my glove and dropped it on the floor. "Bye Lillian, you look more cute when you're silent, I didn't know dead people looked this cute." I said and smiled.
