Chapter 3: First Quest-Completed! 2/2

The Silent Woods got darker as I went, the canopy blocking out the sunlight, and as I was carefully walking through. I saw a clearing ahead, and it had 4 Dire Wolves within, eating a carcass. Magic Beasts got into higher Ranks by eating others that were equal or higher than them, by consuming the bodies and cores of other beasts, they could increase in rank. Some had to meditate like cultivators, others by sleeping, as they had to make the Dao their own over time. I was surveying the area and just decided to go fuck it, and test my new cantrip. 'Sacred Flame!' And Holy Fire washed through the Dire Wolves, bright, white flames consuming and killing them instantly, I was quite impressed with the spell, and it was essentially level zero! After killing them, I added their 4 Common Cores to my stats, +1 CON, +1 INT, and +2 Wisdom.

[You have a choice out of 3 magic items, a +1 magic fire weapon, +1 magic armor, and +1 stat increase item. The stat increase item, when worn can increase a stat beyond the Stat Limit. Which do you choose?]

I was thinking about the choice, the magic armor and weapon was tempting to get, as I could get a fire weapon, or some protection, but as I was really liking the stat upgrade item, I chose that. 'I'll take the item, I want it to give me +1 CHA. [+1 Stat Upgrade Chosen, Hat of Goodwill. +1 CHA item. Anything else?] 'I would like to spend 2 SP to my STR.'

I was pretty happy with my stats, I just needed to go ahead and level up some more, getting my stats beyond 15 to get to around a Tier 2 Cultivator would help me out with fighting Epic Rank Monsters.

Why are they called monsters instead of beasts? Well, after getting past the Adept Tier, Beasts become Monsters, and afterwards became Abominations, and Mythics were Titans. Dragons, the most famous and dangerous creatures in the world, were Mythical Titans equal to Tier 5 Cultivators. After getting my item and new spells, I left the forest, hoping to not run into a group of Daoists. How very wrong I was...

This is it, the First Quest is done, and if anyone has suggestions for future quests, please comment below, much appreciated!
