Those who surpass the Satans - 1

Approximately six months have passed since the civil war began between the current Government of Satan's families and the Resistance formed under the command of the House of the Great King Bael and the Great Duke Agares. Initially, the battles were one-sided, but with the participation of Sirzechs, Ajuka, Serafall, and Falbium on the side of the resistance, the tide began to turn.

As these four demons, each possessing incredible power, assumed leadership roles within the resistance forces, the balance of power started to shift. Meanwhile, a pivotal battle unfolded in the former domain of the now-extinct Gusion Family. This domain, long abandoned and reduced to ruins, had become a haven for wild beasts.

In the sky above, two formidable demons confronted each other in a fierce duel. They were the ace of the Resistance, Ajuka Astaroth, and the daughter of Satan's Leviathan, Tefarme Terreac Leviathan. Ajuka's troops engaged Leviathan's forces, who were stationed around the centre of the Gusion domain. After defeating all of her generals, Ajuka's forces drove Tefarme into a corner.

Forced into this precarious position, Tefarme took to the battlefield and unleashed devastating attacks against Ajuka's troops. In response, Ajuka, the only one capable of matching her power, decided to confront her directly. The two launched immense attacks of demonic power against each other amidst the heavens.

Tefarme extended her twelve black wings from her back, conjuring a large volume of water from the aura swirling around her hand. Despite the Underworld's lack of oceans, Tefarme wielded the power of the Dragon Sea Snake of the End, capable of causing massive chaos. Her talents, inherited as the daughter of Satan Leviathan, were unparalleled within her class.

With her immense aura, Tefarme generated enough water to flood an entire city, causing supernatural phenomena and attempting to erect a towering wall of water aimed at Ajuka.

The water squirmed and rotated as if it possessed consciousness, forming numerous spears that attacked Ajuka from all directions. Powerful sea beasts, such as giant fish, snakes, and titans, also joined the assault. These creatures alone were formidable enough to decimate armies numbering in the millions or even tens of millions. However, none of these attacks proved effective against Ajuka.

With a small magic circle, Ajuka deftly incapacitated each incoming attack. The wall of water heading towards him evaporated into fog upon contact with his magic. He effortlessly dodged and evaded the numerous spears hurled in his direction. Even the sea beasts attacking him seemed to lose their bearings and retreat into the water. Tefarme's water magic, capable of swallowing armies of ten million soldiers, proved futile against a single demon.

Tefarme was left speechless in the face of this outcome. Despite his youth and less than a hundred years of life, Ajuka had neutralized the attacks of the daughter of a Satan who aspired to the throne in the next generation, using only a single magic circle. Ajuka emanated a soft aura, derived from the small magic circle he held in his hand. He instantly recognized and analyzed Tefarme's attacks, devising multiple solutions to counter each supernatural phenomenon she created.

While Ajuka's actions appeared simple, no one had ever possessed the power to confront Tefarme in such a manner before. Any misstep on Ajuka's part could have resulted in catastrophe. However, he deftly disarmed each of Tefarme's attacks with masterful precision. As a result, Satan Leviathan's daughter found herself injured and struggling to catch her breath.

Ajuka had turned Tefarme's own magic against her, calculating each spell in such a way that she couldn't escape its effects. His efficient manipulation of her magic amplified its impact, leaving Tefarme feeling humiliated. With each attack, she was forced to confront the flaws in her own magical abilities, suffering damage in the process. Despite her noble lineage, Tefarme had to acknowledge that her opponent hailed from a family of much lower status yet displayed unmatched skill and prowess.

Tefarme screamed as he wiped the blood dripping from his mouth, his voice filled with anger and frustration:

"You insignificant demon of the 72 pillars!"

Ajuka shrugged nonchalantly, replying in a light tone:

"It seems the insignificant demon of the 72 pillars is leaving you in quite a sorry state."

"Damn you! Take this!"

With fury coursing through him, Tefarme unleashed extreme pressure, enveloping himself in a dark blue aura. His body expanded and transformed gradually, taking on the shape of a giant floating snake-like dragon - the true form of Leviathan. An indescribable aura emanated from Tefarme's dragon-shaped body as it opened its mouth and unleashed a barrage of gigantic dark blue auras, each one powerful enough to decimate entire armies.

Yet, Ajuka remained calm, formulating a strategy to counter her attacks. With precise movements, he deflected each incoming aura, redirecting them in different directions. The diverted auras collided behind him, generating massive explosions that echoed through the battlefield.

The eyes of Tefarme's dragon form widened in disbelief.

"Impossible! How can this be happening?"

Despite pushing his abilities to the limit, Tefarme's attacks had no effect on Ajuka. Every explosion would have obliterated entire armies, yet Ajuka stood unscathed before her.

Observing his own magic circle, Ajuka remarked casually:

"I think it worked. I've never faced someone of your calibre before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but..."

"You... Are you truly of the Astaroth Family? You're not even a descendant of any of the Satans!"

"This level of power would make much more sense if you were a lost son of one of the former Satan. But unfortunately for you, I am a legitimate member of the Astaroth Family."

Tefarme's voice trembled with fear and disbelief:

"Liar! How can such power come from such a low bloodline?"

Unbeknownst to Tefarme, Ajuka's extraordinary abilities had been downplayed and concealed by the Astaroth Family to avoid drawing attention from the Satan's Families. Even in combat, only demons like Sirzechs, Serafall, and Falbium could rival his powers. Tefarme's challenge had been anticipated eagerly by Ajuka, yet she proved to be a disappointment.

Bored, Ajuka kept his thoughts to himself. This battle would decide the fate of the Underworld, and revealing his true feelings would betray his inner childishness. Yet, he believed this was his chance to prove his worth. Sighing, he addressed Tefarme:

"Now, Tefarme Ojou-sama. What will you do next? I could forgive you if you surrender now. But if you choose to resist, I'll have to..."

Tefarme's fear turned into rage as he retorted:

"I, Satan Leviathan's daughter, will never surrender to the likes of you! Scum!"

Class, reputation, and honour - Ajuka acknowledged Tefarme's response as befitting a member of Satan's family. Opening a magic circle before him, Ajuka spoke calmly:

"I understand. I'm sorry, but the Underworld no longer needs you."

With those words, Ajuka emerged victorious, decisively defeating Tefarme.
