RI : Fang Yuan and Buddhist Ideology

This time I'm writing my own understanding directly, so let's start writing straightforwardly.

There is a well-known saying: One thought becomes a Buddha and one thought becomes a devil. But what does this sentence mean? Why are the Buddha and the demons all in one thought?

There is a chapter in "Reverend Insanity" that deals with this Buddhist problem- there is no self, no one, no sentient beings, and no life.

Anonymity means that everyone is equal, and there is essentially no difference. Don't take yourself too seriously, don't think you are inferior to others, recognize your own ordinaryness, no matter whether you are lower than others or higher than others in some aspects, in fact the "total amount" is the same. They are all regarded as a "universe", any matter in this universe will not disappear or be produced out of thin air, so the total amount is the same. If you think about it this way, there will be no arrogance and low self-esteem.

No one looks down on anyone. Human beings are the current masters of the earth, and everyone knows this. However, the fact that humans are at the top of the food chain does not mean that humans themselves are necessarily higher than other creatures. Now that humans are higher animals, in fact, they have only exerted great advantages in certain aspects in order to stand out and achieve supremacy. But no matter how high the status of human beings, we are always living creatures, just relying on "external forces." Only by building up layers of walls with my brain and hands can I protect myself, but I am very fragile. It can be seen from the time when humans began to live in groups in ancient times that in the face of various creatures and environments, people can only stay together and use simple tools to barely respond to external threats. Human beings are fragile and rely on external forces. This is still the same. In front of the beasts, we always rely on external forces. Think about it, if one day, the wall of mankind collapses, how should the wolf, lion, tiger and leopard survive in the face of other large and small animals and swarms of bugs?

Of course, I don't mean that people are inferior to animals. After all, these walls are also the product of human wisdom. Although they cannot be turned into things that truly belong to themselves, their functions have already been fully utilized.

Based on these two points, it also illustrates the equality of humans and animals.

What the non-being means is that there is no difference between life and non-life. In fact, in my personal opinion, everything in the universe is life, including mountains and rivers, electricity, fire, gas, light, but these are different from our definition of life characteristics, they are still life, but "living" in different forms. Why do you say that? Because all things have spirits, all things have some common laws, all things are moving, and only the real dead things are absolutely still. However, there is nothing absolutely still in the universe, so all things are said to be absolutely still. Is alive. As far as water is concerned. The water flows to the lower places, and the same is true for the creatures we define. The higher the position, the easier it is to lose. When water encounters high temperatures, it turns into steam, and when it encounters low temperatures, it turns into ice. When animals encounter great danger, they shrink into a ball to protect themselves, and when they encounter good times, they move forward courageously.

Put another way- what is the nature of living things and mountains and rivers? Different three views will have different answers, material, great, god, spirit and so on. But no matter what the answer is, one thing remains the same: the essence of magnifying anything to the limit is the same. This is the form of being without beings.

The lifeless person's appearance, that is, whether it exists or does not exist, it is equal, and there is no difference.

For this, combined with my personal worldview, my understanding is that the universe is divided into two worlds: the material world, which is the "real world", Visible and tangible, there is no doubt that it is real. The other is the spiritual world, also called the "conscious world", a world that can only be felt by the spirit, which is equivalent to what the public says does not exist. But I think the so-called non-existence is not really non-existent, it's just that it doesn't exist in the material world. For example, gods, Buddhas and demons, these are not found in the material world, so many people think that they do not exist. In fact, they exist in the spiritual world, and they are still meaningful. For example, gods and Buddhas can be used as spiritual support, and demon Satan can be used as a warning to let people not fall into them.

The spiritual world (the so-called non-existence) and the material world (the so-called real existence) are of the same origin, and should be viewed together in terms of height.

After seeing through these aspects, being able to treat everything equally, there is no longer an absolute level of strength in the heart, and there is a divine nature. On this basis- took a slight step toward the light, and chose to love all things, which is the Buddha. He took a half-step toward the darkness and chose to treat everything as a dog, a devil.

This is why it is said that Buddha and demons have the same origin, one thought becomes a Buddha, and one thought becomes a demon.
