"...just a stupid customer."

"Morning Niki." The smell of morning coffee and the gentle greeting gave him a soothing and relax vibe. He was never known to be the kind or chill dude. Ever since in high school, he was recognised as the cold and lonely boy. He was even called a creep by some guys, who were definitely the bullies in school. He never cared though, nothing was in his mind except for one thing. To avenge his parents death.

He never knew why or the full story of his parents case. The news never reported about it and it was never documented. He had no lead except the fact that his parents were killed. Apparently, one night when he was 14, he received a package from a strange man in black who come up to his front door.

Inside was his mother's silver earrings, his father's dagger and a finger, with a ring on it. He knew immediately that it was his mother's. The stranger left without a word, leaving the crying boy on his doorstep.

The surprising part was, he was never kicked out from his own house or received any bills for the electricity or water. His life was going normal like never had happened. Even the teachers never asked any questions about his parents to him, even after the whole school knew he was an orphan.

Everything was normal. And he hated it.

Even after everything, the fact that his heart still hurt and scarred, made his condition worsen. He often dozed off, skipped school and even tried drugs. And after multiple breakdowns, he realised it all happened because of the lost of his parents. And he blamed it all to the killer.

The police were all useless his said. And it was never his dream was to gained justice. He preferred revenge instead. With the motto go going solo, he grew up and became one of the most skilled hitman in Korea.

"Nikiiii are you ignoring me again?" A waving hand suddenly grabbed his attention. Han pouted. "Is this how you treat your friend who always makes coffee for you?"

Niki chuckled. "I'm sorry Han-ie. I dozed off again."

The silver haired huffed. "Whatever. here's usual. And what makes you dozed off so much lately? You know I'm always worried for my regulars."he said handing the taller his coffee.

Niki took it with pleased. Thanking the other before taking a sip. "Well you know, I've been.. busy with stuff." he shrugged it off.

It would be a miracle for the cold Niki would start a conversation with someone. But Han had been with him ever since his parents died. Even though he can't fully trust the other, he never refused the offer of friendship.

Han gave him another look. "Let me guess... are you still with your 'I'm getting revenge for my parents shit?' Sheeesh man you can't move on with that huh?" he sighed after realising his friend doesn't gave a reply.

"You know I was never against you for avenging your parents. Just like how I never stopped you from killing people or doing some other fucked up stuff. Besides, I'm not that strong to stop you anyways. As long as you don't get yourself hurt and come to me crying saying it's hurt and shit. You can count on me with treating you. But don't you dare think you could get away without being lectured!"

Niki rolled his eyes and smiled. "Noted. I appreciate having you as my friend. I'll cherish those lectures in the future for self reminder." He chuckled hearing some protests, leaving the cafe instead.

"Your wasting time with that guy again." Han's coworker, Eda interrupt him. She only got an annoyed face in return.

"You know, you are much older than me and more experienced. It would be very humiliating if you act all childish like this." She sassed back. "And what makes him so special that you even worried for him? You rarely showed your emotions to people."

Han glared at the girl. It was true that he acted different in front of Niki than anyone else. He sometimes surprised as well. But he always thought it was just a normal human instinct. "He's no one. just a stupid customer."

'If you're his friend, you would act the same as me.'

For the past few days, Niki had done a great job sabotaging the most dangerous man in Asia, just to get his attention. It was always his nature to find trouble. But this time, it was intentional, all planed.

The only thing that kept him alive till this day was his revenge. He find his lead and now he was a step closer to meet his 'victim'.

"I am surprised." A sudden voice breaks through his silence walk back home. A very slim man in all back leaning his back on the wall, nothing but his eyes were exposed to the young hitman.

"I get that you are craving for the boss's attention. You're a smart one. You could just break into our HQ and kill him like you desire. It's not like you didn't know where he's hiding." A smirk was formed by him even though Niki couldn't see it.

"I know." The younger bluntly said. "I know where he is. I know who you are. I know everything that's needed to know." He confidently said. "But the reason why I didn't strike directly was simple."

"I'm not looking for 'the boss'."

"I'm looking for YOUR boss."
