Chapter 2 Road to Ever After High

"Just making sure, you are here for Amy, correct?" the doctor asked.

"Yes, we are," the teen in red said. Amy noted that she did not like the red teen's voice, it sounded far too preppy, it bordered on annoying for her. The teen then proceeded to introduce herself. "I am Apple White. Daughter of Snow White. I bet this is Amy right? Nice to meet you!" The girl who was named after a fruit stuck her hand out for Amy to grab. Amy tried to glare. She could not move a single muscle in her body beyond her nose, her eyelids, and her eyes. Does she really think that Amy could grab her hand, let alone want to? Sides who names their children Apple? She can understand the last name of White. But Apple? Makes one wonder how much Apple's parents actually like her.

The girl dressed in blue gave Amy a small smile and a wave from where she silently sat. Apple seemed to become annoyed by Amy's inability to respond and withdrew her hand.

"Well time for you to go then," the doctor spoke. A ramp made a strange sound as it seemed to magically come out of the carriage. Perfect for her wheelchair. The man wheeled Amy up the ramp and somehow managed to lock the wheelchair in place. He placed a backpack, packed with all of her belongings, into Amy's lap. The bag contained a knife, a stuffed rabbit, a storybook, and a key necklace, all of which belonged to her late mother. The bag also contained a change of clothes for Amy, which was not a white hospital gown like she was currently wearing. The change of clothes was a light brown, almost grey and black striped dress, with an apron, a pair of knee-high black and white striped socks, and a pair of black flats. The doctor then left the carriage, shutting the door behind him. From this height, Amy was finally able to see the doctor's face. A brunette with glasses and a beard. Oddly familiar, but Amy could not figure why.

Soon after the door was closed, the carriage began to move. Amy could not recall if something was pulling the carriage or not. She did not hear any horses, let alone any sounds of hooves striking the ground. Maybe nothing was pulling it. It's not like she could have seen the entities pulling the carriage, they were out of her limited field of vision. Maybe the carriage was being pulled by the clouds? Would make sense, Amy thought, as to why she couldn't hear them. She could see them in her mind's eyes. Serpent like entities made of clouds gliding above the ground, pulling the carriage along. Why serpents? Not that Amy would know about Cirrus or Cirrocumulus clouds, but she made the mental connection that cirrus of clouds resemble snakes. The wispy cirrus clouds look like a bunch of little snakes lazing around. While the cirrocumulus is the land the sky snakes live on, making the large blue sky akin to a sort of ocean. And perhaps it is, Amy never went into the sky before, but she knew that is where the birds fly. And birds do hunt fish. Well, some birds. Perhaps they were being pulled by eels, the snakes of the sea. Big puffy, electrical snakes. Of course, education within asylums...was not great, especially for one like Amy who is essentially somewhere between paralyzed and in a comma (yet somehow awake). Sure she can occasionally do things, but those things were rooted in vivid hallucinations. Living like this was a mix of living in hell and in a dream. Sometimes it was both, depending on Wonderland's temperament.

She knew she could hear the wheels moving but that was the only sound she could hear beyond that was the sounds of the other passengers' breathing and tapping. Tapping? What were they tapping on? Amy, unable to move her head due to her odd paralysis, moved her eyes as best she can to get a glimpse of what the two were doing. The two were fiddling with strange mirror-like devices, but the odd thing was, neither of the two mirrors had a reflection. The blonde in blue glanced up to Apple who nodded, getting herself situated for whatever was about to happen. Amy had no clue. The blonde held the mirror in front of herself, her reflection suddenly appearing within the mirror. Then she began talking to the mirror...?

"Welcome back to Just Right, returning and upcoming students of Ever After High! It is your host Blondie Lockes! Me and Apple are returning to Ever After High after a summer vacation out here in London!"

Blondie? Fucking Blondie? Lockes was barely a last name unless her family were lock smiths. But Blondie?! Neither of their parents were fond of who they gave birth to based on these names.

"That's right Blondie. And we have a London exchange student, Amy!"

Were they expecting her to say... something? They were aware she was picked up from an asylum... right?

Amy sat there silently as her vision began to blur... oh fun...

Amy was thrown to the ground hard, she gasped in air as her vision returned to her. The fuck was it now?! The cheshire cat was sitting near her head, leaning over her,"An imagination not in check is a wild imagination. You might need to reign it in."

"The fuck does that even me-EEEEEEK!"

Amy was dragged along the snow white ground, her ankle tied to something. She tried to get a grip on the ground but her fingers combed through the fluffy white ground like mist... She began trying to twist her foot out from the grip of whatever had her, managing to slip her shoe from her boot in the process. Boot? Once she was free she was able to stand up an assess her situation. Dark grey puffs swirled around, dragging a giant white pumpkin by ropes. Amy then realized exactly what the cat meant. She was standing on a cloud... and she just thought up those eels into existance within her head. "You have to be fucking kidding me. This could have waited until the awkward silence all long cart rides have! Fuck!" Amy threw herself to the ground... a bit to hard since her back broke through the cloud she was on and she was now hurling towards the actual ground. Great... Great....just great...

"You have to be bloody kidding me..."

"You have to be grounded in the mind before one can be grounded in reality."

Amy wasn't sure she heard most of that since the cat was on a cloud she fell past. What could one do while falling? In theory there were many things. But that depended on how much time she had... Well she could flip off the cat. So she did.

Apple and Blondie were staring her her. Amy blinked as though she just woke up. Oh fun... its happening again... Amy would have groaned if she could use her vocal cords. She couldn't stop flipping them the bird...

The two were silent just staring at Amy as her burst of temporary life had died down back into a husk. Blondie seemed to have her mirror black again before she spoke to Apple.

"Do you wanna try that again?"

"Blondie... that was live... so... its too late regardless."

"I know..."

What was too late? What was alive? Did something die? How long was she gonna be stuck like this? At least the awkward cart silence fell upon them for the rest of the ride.
