The Day I Lost Everything

2030.

London, Smith´s mansion.

The hallway to my father's room is as quiet and cold as ever. I get goosebumps whenever I look at this huge door that leads to his room

"I shouldn´t go I don´t feel too good about this" I whispered.

I turned around and ran the long hallway back until I bumped into two big persons and fell to the ground.

"Ahh, I´m sorry." I said.

"Are you stupid why would you run this fast." both of them answered at the same time in perfect sync. "Ah, it´s you Rayleigh why would you run away from there. Did you meet father already? I think he wanted to see you." One of them asked.

The person who talked to me was my oldest brother, Radleigh. Radleigh was at least 6.5 feet tall. He had yellow hair and had the ability to teleport and accelerate everything he threw to a high velocity.

Radleigh participated in the War as the King of Speed, he was the only one who was still conscious after fighting with Heracles, he was even able to get Heracles sword. After the war, he gave up on his title as a King, just like all the other Kings. [Current Rank S. 29 Years old]

The other one is my other brother, Raleigh. He and Radleigh were exactly the same height and weight, they also looked the same, it was as if they were twins, despite their difference in age. Raleigh had also yellow hair and you could say he had the light ability because he was exceptionally fast, could manipulate the temperature in a certain radius and blind people through extreme bright light.

He has many more abilities, but not all are known. He did not participate in the war because he got his ability right after the war. [Current Rank King. 23 years old]

Raleigh is the King of Light and the guild master of the `Sun´ guild. He is the most popular King and his fans call him the `sun god´ because of his ability and the first two letters of his name, `Ra´also known as the deity of the sun in Egyptian mythology.

"Hey what´s up Rayleigh, do you want to say something?" Radleigh said

"Ah, um, do you guys remember the oath we made 4 years ago" I said nervously.

Both of them looked really confused. "Of course we do, did you think we would forget something this important" They replied in perfect sync.

"So could you train me then, since I am going to get my Ability today" I said completely excited.

"We will" They replied.

The oath 4 years ago was a promise we made after our mother died. She asked us to live in peace, look out for each other and never argue or hurt one of us. After she said that and passed away we made an oath in tears. In this oath, we said that we would conquer one part of the Abandoned Lands and reign over this land in peace and harmony. They sealed this oath with a deep cut in their left hands and they switched swords.

Rayleigh gave his sword to Radleigh, he got this sword from their mother, Radleigh gave Heracles sword to Raleigh and he gave his sword to Rayleigh. (Rayleigh ---> Radleigh ---> Raleigh ---> Rayleigh)

"So Rayleigh, only 7 Minutes till your birthday, lets go and see Father" Raleigh said with a big smile.

"Yes"

I am still completely nervous, but I knew that I would have to face him again. I think it has been 4 years and I still hate him

Knock Knock

"Come in."

"Father we came. Rayleigh is also with us" Radleigh said.

Father sat on his desk and look at me with a very cold expression.

"Rayleigh, you came and you are supposed to get your ability in a few minutes"

"Yes Father" I replied

"DON´T EVER CALL ME FATHER AGAIN!" He shouted out loudly.

"Yes fath... sir," I replied with the thought to kill him as soon as I have my ability.

He is the reason my mother died. She was sick, coughed blood and was in severe pain but he refused to call a doctor because a Smith family member has to be strong and does not need a doctor, in his opinion. The only reason I called him father was because Radleigh asked me to do so.

She died a painful death and the reason he does not want me to call him father is that I switched my surname to my mother's family name. My name isn´t Smith Rayleigh anymore... My name is Lord Rayleigh ever since my mother died.

He also only let´s me outside alone, I was not even allowed to go out with mother. No one in this world knows that I exist, I don't even have a birth certificate.

"So, Rayleigh, only 2 minutes are left, are you ready to finally take some responsibility." Father said.

"Heh, it certainly is funny to hear something like that from someone who never took responsibility for me or mother in these almost 18 years I am alive"

*WHum* *Smash*

A whisky bottle flew in my direction but Radleigh teleported it behind me and it flew against a wall.

I wasn´t to surprised for the simple reason that, that was not the first bottle that flies in my direction.

Radleigh looked at his watch to change the topic.

"Only 10 seconds remaining" Radleigh said

It is finally time. I had to wait so long for this moment, it still feels like a dream that this day came.

I was know officaly 18, but nothing has changed I can´t feel anything. Whats with my hair color? I looked up to see my hair but it was still black that can´t be true. Why wouldn´t I awaken an ability.

"You certainly talk big for someone who can´t even awaken an ability, Rayleigh" Father said with a wry.

"That can´t be true how can I not awake an ability that's impossible" I said almost in tears.

"So Rayleigh since you did not awaken an ability you hold no worth. LEAVE YOU ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED IN THIS MANSION!"Father shouted.

"FATHER, this is not fair you shouldn´t do this he still is my brother, if you kick him out I will leave as well" Radleigh replied instantly.

"You can leave as well"

"Fine, we will leave. Let´s go, Rayleigh"

I followed him without giving it a second thought. The moment we left the main door of the mansion Raleigh gave us a key.

"Yo, I am sorry that I didn´t say anything back there. This is a key to a house that I own, you can live there for now, Radleigh should know the location of this house." Raleigh said with a sad face.

He said something, but I couldn´t understand a thing, my sight turned a bit blurry, it was like my whole existence would slowly fade away.

"Thanks, Raleigh" Radleigh said.

On the whole, way to the house, we didn't talk at all. He probably knew, that I hate it if someone talks to me when I am in a bad mood.

We arrived at the House and it started to rain heavily. It was like an omen for somthing bad to happen.

I could finally see normally again. Radleigh opend the door and we went inside.

In the House, were only one bed and a couch nothing more. It was a bit odd.

"Hey Rayleigh, I know how.." *knock knock knock*

*Boom*

The door was blown away by some kind of small bomb.

"Rayleigh stay back! I will handle this they are just A-Rankers"

Two masked man standed in the doorframe. Both of them had a knife in their hands

"How do you know?!"

"If you are strong you just know these things"

Both of them charged at Radleigh with the intention to kill. Radleigh puts his hand in his pocket and takes two small stones out he throws them in their direction and they started to glow yellow. He used his ability to accelerate them to a high speed and the Stones just...

*crack* *bum*

The stones flew right through their heads they died instantly and fell to the ground.

"I think that was all we should be *stab*

"arrrgh"

Someone was still there with the ability to conceal himself and this someone stabbed Radleigh with a longsword.

*WHum*

He teleported himself 1 meter away and shot another stone into the head of the masked man.

*Crack* *Bum*

He died instantly and fell to the ground.

"RADLEIGH!"

Blood was everywhere.

"Relax, I am fine S-Ranker like me have high regeneration. I have to tell you something, do you see the sword that the attacker used" Radleigh said while holding his wound with a painful expression.

"Yeah, I see it what's with it. Wait... Isn't that Heracles sword. It is supposed to be with Raleigh why is it here"

"Rayleigh, I have to tell you something after the day, we traded swords Raleigh started to act strange, he never thought that I gave him Heracles sword because Heracles was able to cut mountains like tomatoes, but Raleigh couldn´t. He never used the sword again, after he realized that."

"I also overheard several conversations between him and father, he is just like father, he never really cared for mother, the tears he cried were never the tears of sadness."

"Don´t you think that this is too much of a coincidence, as soon as we entered this house and closed the door we were attacked"

"He betrayed us and mother a long time ago, but I was too foolish and selfish to accept the truth I liked our time together as brothers and not as enemies."

"Did he really betra.." I wanted to reply but he Interrupted me

"Rayleigh, there is no time for that. Can you take Heracles sword for a second."

"I am sorry I lied, I am sick and I am going to die that's why he could stab me that easily. This wound normally wouldn´t kill me but I am sick so I can´t regenerate".

"This was also something only Raleigh knew so I am certain that he betrayed us."

"Rayleigh listen, we were never brothers but I promised him that I wouldn´t tell you I hope you will have a great life. Goodbye, my dear Rayleigh."

"Hey wait what do you me..." *WHum*

He teleported me on a ship that sailed somewhere, but as soon as I realized what happened I started to cry, cry tears of despair and tears of sorrow.
