186 Threeway Is Not Good

There was a short pause after he uttered those words. Yukio almost dropped the rook he was about to move but held himself in check. He was rather taken aback, more so when he knew 'something' involving this man.

'Sly…'

He took a peek at his master and shivered involuntarily upon seeing the expression Hideyoshi was wearing. If not for his mastery in concealing emotions and presence, he would have given everything away.

It was just… wicked.

"Hmmm…" The patriarch crooned in a low voice.

Hideyoshi didn't add anything after that and focused on the board game instead. He didn't even raise his head in question, nor act interested. Hidetsugu still waited nonetheless, even though he looked more and more awkward as seconds passed by. 

It was just painful being blatantly snubbed.
