A Genius Farms Passively

Five hours since he arrived at the top of the city wall, Jyorta Bone grinned as he wiped his bloodied face, "I've finally achieved it."

"A Sync Rate of 100 percent."

He could immediately feel a spike in his Nurturing rate, feeling a bit relaxed now that he was assured his growth would be the fastest that he could currently attain.

He then looked at Henrik, asking while giving him the Tier 4 Relic, "It seems you were hoping to reach a 100 percent Sync Rate too. Please use this to attain that."

"What do you want in return," Henrik asked, knowing very well that it was a simple transaction. Due to their prior transaction, the usage of the Tier 4 Relic was Jyorta's exclusive. So, if he wished to use it, he needed to pay a certain price.

Instead of beating about the bush, fearing the wastage of time allotted for the Tier 4 Relic, Henrik was direct in his choice of words.

Being in the same wavelength, Jyorta too was direct, handing over a cup—the Tier 3 Relic with the Tier 3 Skill of Healing Salve—as he said, "Since you have the range of a Ground Controller, it would be more efficient for you to use it."

"All I need is for you to absorb energy using the Tier 4 Relic on one side, and produce Healing Salve with this Tier 3 Relic on the other. For my use, I need as much Healing Salve as possible. So, once your Sync Rate reaches 100 percent, please use the remaining time to generate as much Healing Salve as possible." He finished speaking, looking at Henrik to see the other party smile.

"Interesting," Henrik laughed, causing both the Relics to disappear as he said, "This is an advantageous trade to me, Jyorta Bone."

One of his psychic arms carried the Tier 4 Relic, penetrating a Swarm monster, siphoning all the energy condensed in its massive fleshly body. All the absorbed energy flowed through his psychic arm as psychic energy, pouring into his Brain Crystal.

On the other hand, his second psychic arm carried the cup—the Tier 3 Relic—and arrived above the city wall, activating it to begin generating Healing Salve. The produced Healing Salve contained as much energy as in a Developer's Heart Crystal when the cup was full.

And because the Relic with Bone Devour was at Tier 4, the energy influx was greater. Henrik watched the Healing Salve be produced from the Tier 3 Relic with a frown, thinking of something as he extended his third psychic arm, informing something to one of the Bone Family members stationed atop the wall.

The third psychic arm then proceeded into the city, bringing back a container. It was to store the Healing Salve. The container was being filled by the Healing Salve as Henrik compressed the contents as much as possible to prevent wasting space.

Since the energy influx was greater than the expenditure, he used the excess on his Trait of Severability, beginning to increase his Sync Rate. As he was already close to 100 percent, it only took him an hour to reach it.

And in this time, the Bone Family member he had contacted brought another Tier 3 Relic that possessed the Tier 3 Skill of Healing Salve. Henrik now activated both the Tier 3 Relics, doubling the production of the Healing Salve, laughing as he said to Jyorta, "Thirty percent of the Healing Salve produced from the second Relic will go to its respective owner. The rest is yours. Consider it my investment for the energy needs you require while helping me."

"That would be a tremendous help." Jyorta nodded, immediately closing his eyes as he continued with his task. He was multitasking at present.

First, he was creating new tattoos. Second, he was modifying the tattoos already in the bodies of the thirty Armadillos, making them accordingly to their respective presence. He wished to permanently make them subservient to him.

After all, participating in soldier activities would award him Contribution Points. And, there was an easier way to obtain it. So, he might very well be an idiot if he didn't abuse it to the limit.

The monsters in the Swarm weren't intelligent. They just relied on basic instinct and impulses to move about. And, most of the orders they received were already coded into their genetics by the Skeps—and, that was the collection of genetic material from the humans.

So, once he modified the first tattoo, it took less time for him to modify the second, third, and so on. And before his tattoos could crumble, he had modified them to suit each of the thirty Armadillos. Now, they were fully under his control.

Henrik then brought him before another group of Armadillos as he took control of five of them, bringing them to the base of the city wall where they took battle positions, shooting spikes into the swarm.

When the Armadillos were tired, they rested a little while gobbling up one of the corpses of the Swarm that was piled up near the walls. After that, they resumed the attacks.

Anyone who witnessed his actions had figured out his plans by now. Some of them snorted, some of them looked at his abilities in envy, while most of the remainder were unfazed. And every Shifter with Bone Devour fell in the third category.

It was the sort of arrogance that came with possessing an Unranked Skill.

Henrik seemed like he was having fun while staring at Jyorta. At regular intervals, he transported large containers filled with Healing Extract into the large warehouse where Jyorta trained with the ten Tier 3 River Whales.

Every large container contained a cubic capacity of 1000 litres of the Healing Salve. The Tier 3 Relic had a storage capacity of a litre approximately. So, a litre of the Healing Salve equalled a Developer's Heart Crystal worth of energy.

And, as long as there was enough prey, the Tier 4 Relic was capable of generating energy equivalent to a Shifter's in a minute. So, the number of containers with the Healing Extract continued to pile up even though Henrik compressed them to the limit.

Soon, the 24 hours of the Tier 4 Relic's lending period finished as Jyorta beamed with a content smile, gazing at the row of Armadillos that now numbered one hundred. 'Let them passively farm my Contribution Points.'
