Chapter 66 - Rejuvenator

[Celestial Industries' Headquarters; Entrance.]
3rd PoV
"Now you see." Psionix finally spoke once again as he took everyone's attention while the three Morlocks stood by his side silently. The former then turned the Tv control as the screen changed its contents. This time it showed the whole of Morlocks sitting in a row of chairs as they posed for the camera with smiles on their faces like this it was some sort of class picture.
"They collectively call themselves Morlocks. They were once part of our society but after awakening their meta gene and having their appearance drastically change and also experiencing severe maltreatment from humans, they opted to remove themselves from the society and chose to exile themselves to sewers.
They all once live in the underground tunnels that was built in the late 1950s beneath New York and other places and then they would only surface if they need food and other necessities. Why am I telling you all this you may ask?" Psionix asked the question as he tapped the shoulder of one of the Morlocks and then continued:
"Because I don't want any one of you experiencing the suffering that they all experienced. Imagine only being able to eat once a day or even worse nothing. I want you all to know that having your appearance disfigured by the awakening of your meta gene isn't the end, and that is because we now have a solution for that problem." Psionix ended his statement as he stretched his hand to the air and then an expensive-looking bottle suddenly appeared in his hand.
The Morlocks eyes twinkled at the appearance of that bottle as they began shaking in excitement. It was the cure for their appearance.
The reporters were already used to his display of abilities as they then watched him handing that bottle to one of the three Morlocks.
"I call it the Phenotypic Rejuvenator, Rejuvenator for short. This is a product specially made by the Celestial Industries and its effect, if you can already from its name, is its ability to remove the physical deformities that your meta-gene might bring into you; let them show you. Richard if you may?" Psionix then turned to the taller Morlocks than the other as he urged him to drink the contents of the glass.
The Morlock named Richard was already shaking from excitement and impatient as he hurriedly removed the cap and was about to gulp it all when he remembered the instructions of their savior Psionix. He then slowly brought the glass' head to his lips and then drank a few drops of its content.
The crowd and the whole world watched as the Morlock named Richard drank from the glass and then gave the glass to the other Morlocks.

The man clenched his hand nervously as the crowd and the world watched as his appearance began morphing and turning like some special effects and then after a few moments of nervous breathing, the man lifted the hand-sized mirror – that Psionix gave to him after pulling it from out of nowhere – and then looked at his appearance.
"..."
".. Hic.. Hick..."
After a few moment of just staring at his face. The man then began crying as tears welled up in his eyes as it then eventually fell and his nervous face was changed to a happy one as he smiled widely. He then turned to Psionix with his now-normal face smeared by tears.
"THANK YOU!"
The whole world watched as the man jumped and hugged the famous featureless meta hero who just patted his back in return.
Then they saw the next one hurriedly drink a few drops and then gave it to the last one.
As they all finally finished. Three normal-looking humans stood beside the featureless hero and the master of magnetism as the former tried to hug the meta hero once again but they were rejected since their faces was already not only smeared by tears, but even snot.
The Morlocks realized this as they just laughed wryly while wiping their faces and then they waved to the cameras with wide smiles.
After the Morlocks finally calmed their emotions. Psionix then stepped to the podium with the glass of Rejuvenator in hand. "And that is why I am here in front of you. For all metas out there watching behind their Tv's. If you're a meta that had your appearance disfigured because of your mutation, don't be discouraged because this thing right in my hand right now will be circulating the market tomorrow and it will be FREE!
And that concludes this long day." Psionix finished his sentence with a nod to the cameras as the staff and crew of the news channels began clapping.
At this. The representatives and the president himself once again all stood up in unison as they also clapped their hands with smiles on their faces.
The Brotherhood all also looked at each other with smiles as they can finally see the good future that the metahumans will have.

Days passed and the plan of Andrew and the Brotherhood of Mutants – with the fundings from the Celestial Industry and a little from the government itself; courtesy of the president – for the whole of meta race finally came to a fruition.
After the first day passed. The Rejuvenator was released to the public along with other cures and vaccinea for deadly diseases and viruses.
Metas like Beast quickly went and got one for himself. Of course he wasn't going to immediately consume the thing as he still wants to experiment on the serum.
On the other hand. The whole world were going crazy with the Rejuvenator as they found out that it not only has the ability to revert back a metas appearance back to his normal one, but it can also make Rejuvenate a normal humans skin; and so, people – mostly the women – were going crazy just to get their hands on that stuff.
And as the third day came. The president finally made the act and inputted metas into some police stations that will help that particular station in solving crimes while making the place around it safe free from criminals seeing that they were not only going to face against bullets anymore, but also superpowered people.
The first batch of metas that was inputted as a testing was mostly composed of metas who had basic abilities such as enhanced strength, intellect, agility. While some had the capability of enhanced eyesight and hand coordination that will be perfect for when they use a gun.
After a week passed after that. The government saw the improvement as the crime rate of New York went from 87% to 80%. It was also the same for other states of US and the same results was shown, displaying just how efficient metas as cops.
After a few more weeks passed. Andrew saw that his Rejuvenator serum was getting abused by women as he then made the company announce that starting from that day, the serum will have a market price of 10 dollars per bottle.
It was a business for him.
Of course, this 10 dollars cost only applies to people who will use the product to enhance their beauty and the product would then go to a dollar if that said people is really using it fix their disfigurement.
On the other hand. With the emergence of the serum. More and more disfigured metas would go out from their hiding places and would walk the streets and this started to make the common folks get used to the presence of metas around them as they would now not feel any sort of apprehension for them, but only sympathy for those metas gifted with weak ability and disfigurement and amazement for those who awakened strong abilities.
Then weeks passed once again. With the success of the implementation of meta cops. The government – with the fundings and help from the Celestial Industries – have now started to build the metahuman police stations.
And just like what was said in the press conference. This stations would only consist of metas who would mostly respond to emergencies regarding metas but if there's not any, then they would also help the other station – that has normal humans on them – to solve crimes and apprehend criminals.
During all this. The main cause for all of this was casually sipping sprite in his house while eating large amount of food that could even feed an entire family.

On the other hand. The Avengers was having a meeting on how the hell can they find the damn scepter that the trustworthy director of S.H.I.E.L.D lost.
