Ch 11 - The Claw!!!

'The dream world is beautiful.' Adonis marveled at what he could see for a long time before coming to himself. When Peter activated the skill, he and Donny were both pulled inside Peter's mind where they were pulled through a grand doorway to this dimension.

Stars hung low all around as a myriad of colors colored the night sky. The darkness covered everything. Visibility fell to 5 feet in every direction.

*Step*

With square Donny and Peter fast they could feel their energy drain greatly. Even still Donny led the way forward, in hopes of exploring this new world. He began to notice that each step they passed would continue to remain lit.

After taking 10 steps they came across their first Dream Realm creature.

[Night Mare]

A black stallion with a flowing illusory mane appeared with a menacing glare. It never took its eyes off of Peter. As Donny stepped onto the step with the horse, he and Peter were transported to a forest Arena 100m away from the [Night Mare].

'Peter you're up.'

'Yes, Master' With haste he made a break for the horse. Instead of reciprocating Peters' seemingly reckless charge, the horse simply stood there in waiting breathing black air from its nose. As its hoof struck the dirt, many times, in preparation.

Right when Peter came within 60m, Adonis began to circle around as he approached as well. 'He will more than likely charge when Peter gets a little closer. If it is going to use a skill maybe I can disrupt it.

[NightMare Dash]

[Landside Step]

[NightMare Dash] Interrupted…

'Perfect'

'Peters' Charge'

Instead of activating a skill he didn't have, Peter simply screamed it in his head as he began to ram the off-balance horse.

Before the mare had a chance to activate another skill, [Sonic Shard] fell into its leg as the vibrations began to violently jostle the bones, debilitating the mare. After 5 strikes from Peter the mare seemed to give in to its passing.

'Hmm, this isn't too bad. Now my summons have summons. Ooo, lets keep going'

15 steps later no other creatures were seen but 25 squares of the Dream Realm have been unlocked. Although the group had no more energy to go on, the unlocked squares could be roamed freely. Without any energy to continue on, he decided to call it a night.

"Introducing once again Adonis the Scorpion King!!!"

"Oh, wow it's that kid with the Beast Pet again."

"Ah, it's his match already? Let's go. I didn't get a good look at that creature last time and the commercial doesn't seem to do it justice. I must see it in all its glory."

"Yeah, me too. It's name is Peter right."

"Yeah, that's what it said in the commercial."

Even with only one showing it seems the attraction of beast taming has garnered lots of attention.

"Versu the devil from down under. 'Left-hand Demon' Tony Oasis."

As the opponent entered the stage, Donny finally was able to get a look at him. His body was wiry and tall with black scales covering his right hand, and a robtic arm on his left.

'It seems he got an advanced limb to keep up with his mutation.' Some ancestral lines provided many with physical mutations. In fact, aside from natural talents, body mutations stand as the second most common genetic inheritance. 'But, what does it do? I can't let it touch me so I'll have to play it safe.'

Peter [Gold Knight Scorpion - Dream Knight] 1.2? 3/6/10

The scorpion's appearance was met with countless gasps and applause as the attendees quickly shifted to the edge of their seats.

'Peters Charge!!!" Without any instruction, Peter flew into battle.

[Demonic Grab]

Tony's claws scraped across Peters carapace only leaving white marks in its wake.

'Peter's Retreat'

'No retreat, keep going, hold him down so I can help.' Peter re engaged the enemy once again. Although he didn't have the speed to evade Tony's attacks, his carapace seemed to hold pretty well. With Tony's attention on Peter Donny began to circle around the field looking for the right angle to strike.

[Demonic Strike]

Tony jumped several steps away from Peter as he began to charge a black ball of energy that surrounded his right fist.

"Sorry, I don't want to hurt your pet so I hope you choose to concede."

"Worry not, he'll be fine." Unbothered by the arrogance of his opponent, Donny knew his chance was near. Once his opponent unleashes his skill, he'll be vulnerable mid attack.

'Just gotta hope I am fast enough.'

"Aaaaarrrrggghhhh" With a quick set of footwork, Tony was propelled through the air ready to unleash his attack.

[NightMare] Summoned...

[NightMare Dash]

Right as the orb laced claw reached for the scorpion, Tony was met mid-air by a black stallion.

"What was that?"

"He has another creature?"

"No way!"

The announcer quickly recomposed himself and looked for where Tony's body landed. Sure enough.

"Victor, Adonis the Scorpion King?"
