A Mysterious Phone Call
At five o'clock in the afternoon, Ririna sat behind her desk at the Han Zhou Entertainment. Her husband had already left earlier for his mission on the Southern Lands, and she was left to organize the files and schedules that he would need the following day.
Her brother Jared visited her and passed the financial reports to her that Eli requested weeks ago. With his dark circles and unfocused eyes, Ririna bet that he spent sleepless nights to complete it.
"Are you alright?" Ririna asked.
Jared grunted in response before rubbing his temple with a deep sigh.
"Yes. Just a little tired. Where's your husband?"
"He's out for an important meeting." She couldn't disclose about Eli's mercenary missions to her brother. It was better for him not to know for his own good.
"I see… I also marked some transactions for him to see. The invoices were also arranged chronologically for reference…" Jared continued to explain his reports to her, but she started to tune him out to look at his face.
