CHAPTER 40

(SEOKJIN'S POV)

We were eating together in the dorm. After spending all day working non-stop in the company, Yoongi and I were too tired to cook something and we decided to order takeout.

"Guys, I've great news." Taehyung annunced.

"Really?" Jungkook said, taking a bite of his hamburger.

"Do you remember Y/n, don't you?" He raised an eyebrow.

Hoseok laughed. "Of course, we've a group chat with JK. She's been busy these days."

Y/n. I didn't talk to her, not even once. I knew I didn't confess my feeling for her, but I still felt like I got rejected. Did she really see me as a friend? Did she forget me that easily? I tried to not think about her, our next comeback was a useful, but still not enough.

I thought about texting her, but I didn't know what to say.

I forgot how to act with her.

If I only had realised it earlier.

I was stupid.

"Jin, are you okay?" Namjoon said, patting my shoulder.

I cleared my throat. "Yeah. Great news." I bite my lower lip, my curiosity was killing me. "Will you see her soon?"

"I don't know," Taehyung sighed. "She said she has a lot of projects going on."

"Maybe we can go there and surprise her." Jungkook said.

"We can't do that." Yoongi said. "The only people you're going to surprise are the other students."

"Bang PD wouldn't like it." Namjoon shook his head.

"What if we go to her place? She has her own dorm in a flat." Jungkook proposed.

"But we're also busy." I said, playing with my hands. "We should wait more."

"If we wait now, we're going to wait longer because we'll be on a world tour." Hoseok said.

"Yeah. I want to see her before our tour." Jungkook crossed his arms.

"I'm going to talk with her. We have three free days next week, right?" Taehyung said, tapping something on his phone.

Yes.

We did.

"We can go see her!" Jungkook said.

"I don't see why not." Namjoon smirked, before taking a sip from his drink.

I knew what he was thinking, but I didn't know how would it went. To be honest, that wasn't the way I imagined seeing her again. Our encounter after spending almost all summer together.

Our friendship was beautiful, but our feelings ruined everything.
