Status?

Months past by and now, Faust and Angra are already 9 months old and they're able to say simple words like 'mama', 'dada', 'food', and other simple things which makes Lily and Mark happy, Babies usually able to say their first proper baby words like that when they're 1 year old but their sons are able to do them 3 months earlier than most babies!

But of course, if they know that, not only their child are able to talk simple words, but also able to understand fully what they are talking about, they surely will be shocked.

For the last 6 months, Angra and Faust put all their attention on mostly learning the new language and the rest on how to properly move their bodies.

Faust had been happy now that he's able to sit and crawl on his own, while Angra seems to have a natural talent for controlling his body that it took him a month earlier than Faust to be able to sit and crawl. But they don't really think about this progress since they know that they will be able to naturally do it when they got past their baby's growth phase.

What is stressing Faust right now is that he wasn't able to learn about the magic at all, he tried to ask his mom to teach him while using words that 9 months old babies able to utter but his mom only smiled at him and take it as Faust's attempt at speaking and never took him seriously.

He wanted to study it by himself using books, he asked the best crawler in the house(Angra) to grab the books from their parents' bedroom. Which caused trouble for Lily because one, his son climbing into high places is not good for her heart and two, she has to clean the mess that Angra left when he climbs onto the bookshelf. But even after getting the book, Faust soon finds out that reading and talking is a really different sport altogether.

He's getting frustrated with not making any progress at all with his magic until one day, he heard his parents talking

"I'm really curious about their status, I wish I can see it." (Mark)

"Just wait for a little longer Mark, they're able to do things faster than most babies were able to, I think it won't be long until they can talk, and Isaac seems to have so much to say, so be ready. I don't think our ears will be able to rest when he starts talking." (Lily)

Hearing this, Faust asked himself 'status?' and then at that moment, streams of information flooded Faust's head

Faust can't believe what's he's seeing right now, he stayed silent for a minute then shouted in his mind

'What? For the first time ever I don't see what you are seeing.'

And with that Angra's brain also flooded with the information

Angra looked at his status information and started studying it.

'Hey Faust, what is this unique skill? Do you get it too?'

'Yes I do, but the name is kind of scary though'

'Yes, I don't know what we did with the dead to have this unique skill but..'

'Wait Gra, I think that because of what I did on Earth that we got this unique skill.'

'Hmm, yes you're right I guess that explains why they are afraid of us.'

'Afraid?'

'Of course, the name of the ability is'

'Feared by Death' 'Loved by Death' Faust and Angra simultaneously said.

'Wait what? Loved by who?'

'You are scared by whom?'

'Wait do we have different ones?'

Faust and Angra then shared and compared all of their stats. They find out that they have the last name of Marchosias which they guess is from their father.

Faust also noticed that he is smarter than Angra by stat but he is physically weaker from him. This makes Angra relieved that it seems his future path will involve the development of his body strength. He seems worried that in this world of magic he had to play Faust's games of tricks and traps to fight. But looking at the early development from his body, he is sure that he is going into the brute's path which really suites him.

While Faust realized that his intelligence stat is higher by 5 than Angra's. He doesn't know if 15 is high or not according to the standard, but it is maybe a sign that his progress forward will lean towards his usual witty fighting style with ranged weapons or magic in this world's case.

They also notice the skill unordinary strength and soul vision on their skill list. Which they guess is having something to do with their race being a cambion (Half-Demon).

Unordinary strength may mean that they are stronger than normal humans (babies in this case) , but they have no clue what is soul vision, he is guessing that it is an ability to see souls but he hasn't been able to see any since he comes to this world, but then after Angra tells him about his feared by death unique skill, Faust thinks that it is due to Angra's passive scare undead that they haven't seen any souls nearby.

With Faust and Angra respectively inspecting their skills and future potential. Faust starting to imagine his future path to increase his strength to protect his family. Loved by Death opened a path for Faust to be a necromancer he thought, even though it's cool, but for now, Faust think that being a sniper or long-range magician is way cooler, he imagined himself launching something like Megiddo (*from Tensei shittara slime), firing meteor as large as a city to his opponent from hundreds of kilometers away, turning a whole region into ice or fire field, or making new mountain ranges with earthquake, and maybe making a lightning storm, there's no end to Faust's imagination. But he is afraid that he can't do other types of magic because of his death mana talent. He can't plan much because he still doesn't know how magic works and what he is capable of, but whatever his abilities will be in the future, he will be maximizing it to their fullest potential so his family can live worry-free in this world!

There's still a lot of things that he and Angra don't know, like how the job and the level system works, and after their mouths are able to speak properly, Faust will surely bombard their parents with barrages of questions.

Faust and Angra spent the rest of the day daydreaming of their future potential and how strong they would be in the future until their father came back and brought a deer for them to eat.

Faust and Angra find out that their father is working as a hunter to catch wild beast and then selling them to the town near them to get money. Because they live on the edge of the kingdom which borders The Forest of Beast where the deeper you go the stronger the beast, there are not many people brave enough to be a hunter in this area. So most of the time, the animals hunted by their father is always bought by the townspeople.

Their father and mother are surprisingly not from the area, Faust can sometimes hear their father complains that the village head is really annoying by not letting them into the village and only allowing them to live on the outside. Faust wonders why they have to move here in the first place, but not wanting to intrude on the adults' business and his limited speech ability kept his curiosity at bay.

Faust is really enjoying his boring life right now, he now has a complete caring and loving family, and with a twin brother at that. He promises himself that this time, he won't let anything separate him from his family ever again, be that monsters, humans, or even if the damn voids come again, he will be strong enough to deal with all of them.

When the time to sleep comes, their mother comes and carried them back to their crib and kisses their forehead which Faust and Angra gladly accept, but when Mark wanted to kiss them, they still tried to avoid Mark's love attack which saddened him. And with that, the everyday routine of the half-demon twin babies ends.
