Protector of the World Tree

I suddenly woke up hearing someone calling me. "My child, its time to wake up." I slowly stood up and watched the place surrounding me. I looked behind my back and saw an enormous tree, as if we were one. "My child." Suddenly, creatures coming from different directions appear in front of me, forming a crescent-moon shape. One by one they bowed and flower petals fell from the sky. "Welcome home, my child."

Heading to Angora Kingdom 2

Rai's POV

"This is where we part ways." I said, and started to pack the books that were lying on the floor.

"Huh?"

"Ehh?"

"Uhh?"

"Hah?"

"Hm?"

"...."

"....."

"...."

"...."

"...."

"...."

Everyone became silent and shocked when I said those words.

"*Sigh* I know you're all confused right now, but I have to go alone." Since I'm heading to Ecre, I need to distance myself from them. The deepest cave on this continent is called Ecre. And among the caverns Alexio discovered throughout his explorations was that cavern.

"But!" Oswald.

"No more buts!" I said, as my body slowly faded.

"My lord?!" Drage.

"Don't worry, I'll catch up." I smiled at them, clasped my hands, and closed my eyes.

"May God bless you all."

When I opened it, the view was different. I was in the heart of the woodland. I decided to go with my gut and headed west. It took me many minutes to locate the entrance to a cave. When I stepped inside, the plants were glowing. They seem to have been waiting for me to arrive. I proceeded towards the deepest section of the tunnel by following the lights.

When I got there, I noticed a water-encircled mystical tree. I made a bridge over the pond out of the vines. It trembled violently as I approached the miraculous tree.

"I have been waiting for your arrival, my lord!" I could hear its voice echoing through my head.

"You sure are a lively one." I sat on her boot and stretched my arms up.

"Welcome to the Ecre! I'm Axilya! The protector of this cavern!"

"Yes, yes, I heard you, you don't need to shout."

Suddenly, a golden fruit appeared in front of me.

"Here, take it." Axilya fetched the fruit and turned around to give it to me. I took the golden fruit and looked at the magical tree.

"Thank you." I put the golden fruit inside my bag and then stood up.

"*Chuckle* It's the least I could do to help you."

"Then I'll be going now." I said while waiving and Axilya gave me a smile before lowering her head.

"Let's meet again! My lord!" As I covered myself with the cape, I used teleportation.

When I opened my eyes, I noticed animals moving through the streets. I walked about looking for a peaceful spot to sit and take in the whole vista of the water. I noticed a cliff and a large tree to the east as I strolled down the coast. It's also an excellent spot to take a quick break.

I ascended the tree using the vines until I reached the cliff and took a seat on the highest branch.

"*Sigh* This is quite nice." I shut my eyes to enjoy the crisp air. I opened my eyes again and saw that a hundred people had set up tents along the coast. There are distinct flags for each of the camps.

I saw nobility congregating and extending greetings to one another. Following their salutations to the other nobility, they entered the largest tent.

"It looks like they are moving." I opened my left palm and blew. He entered the tent last among the others. He paused and turned to face me. Furthermore, he bent his head softly as I waved my hand at him. I was just leaning over to take in the sea view when the Kraken suddenly came out of nowhere.

The knights' scream and all the nobility walked outside to confront the Kraken.

"On your position!" I could hear someone yelling, and the knights, mages, and some of the nobles went to their positions.

Everyone went silent, and the Kraken was nowhere to be seen.

The Kraken appears unexpectedly close to the magicians and knights.

"Fire!" The guy commanded, and a ball of fire shot across the sky, striking the Kraken. When the Kraken lost its mind, it spat evil magic at the people. To keep them safe, the magicians placed shields.

"Attack!" Everyone launched their attacks. I saw six people utilizing their auras to soar across the skies. While one of the lads used her powers to strike the Kraken, the other four boys and the beast woman sliced the creature side to side.

Third Person's POV

"*Pant, pant* It's getting tough!" Killian was worn out from attacking the Kraken.

"We need to regroup!" Silve said while holding the Imperial crown prince, Reeve, from falling through the water.

"Zain! Take Killian, Silve, and the prince out of the water! Rhyne and I will handle this!" The Crown princess, Elirian Whalia Angora, said.

"No! We will not leave you two here alone!" The Imperial Crown Prince, Reeve, yelled.

"You should go! Everyone is exhausted from attacking!" The sage, magicians, and knights were clearly exhausted. The other nobility provided assistance through magic, but their aura was quickly depleting. Lucas, the Crown Prince, was also losing his aura.

Five hours had passed since the last strike on the Kraken, but it spread black magic throughout the water, making it hard to conquer. It is now slowly causing harm to sea creatures.

"This is bad." The dark magic rapidly engulfed the whole body of water.

"You guys are still hopeless as ever." Everyone stopped in their tracks. They all turned to see the man in the cape standing next to the Kraken. He glanced at them.

"Leave this to me. You can go back now," he said, and the two princesses that were fighting the Kraken stepped down. Everyone steps down, and their gazes are now focused on the cape man.

He lifts his right hand and in a second, the Kraken floats up into the sky and kills it. The black magic was gathered and put in a small bottle.

"All done." Everyone was taken aback as they noticed the Kraken drifting closer to the coast. Nobody said anything at all.

"Here." He handed the bottle to the Crown Prince.

Killian looked at the cape guy and let his dagger fall to the sea.

"Who are you?" As he approached the guy wearing the cape, the Imperial Crown Prince inquired.

"Me? I'm just a stranger passing by," He spoke as he gradually faded away. His hands are clasped.

"I hope to see you again. May God bless you." When he said those words, he was already gone.

"Who is he?" Together, the imperial crown prince and crown princess inquired, but nobody responded. Count Lysanthir and his son, Killian, secretly muttered something. Rhyne Althee Elyarus, the princess, followed suit.

Even though the plan didn't go well, in the end, they won.

But the question is...

Who was that person?
