Chapter 39 A Divorcee

"Watch your words!" Elsie snapped.

"If you're not, why didn't anyone know about your relationship with Mr. Heath?" Cristopher pressed on.

"It has nothing to do with you. Stop asking," Elsie deadpanned as she did not have the patience to explain to him.

Then, he suddenly thought of something. "No wonder you knew so much inside information about the bidding. Did Carson tell you?"

"Yes." She nodded. "I've helped you get what you want, so you have to keep my relationship with Carson a secret. It's best not to let anyone else find out."

"No!" Cristopher responded firmly with a smirk on his face.

"Why not?"

"If you want me to keep it a secret, you have to promise me something."

His insatiableness gave Elsie a headache. Not once had Cristopher demanded something reasonable; now that she got herself into trouble, she felt incredibly infuriated. "What do you want? I warn you not to go too far!"
