My Whole World

(Athena's POV)

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

Ugh not this sound again. What happened this time? Wait why can I hear stuff? I died. I'm supposed to be dead. What the fuck is going on? The last thing I remember was me protecting Storm from a knife and getting hit by it in the back then saying I love you to him. Then everything went dark. Ok I need to try to wake myself up. I need to know what happened.

I tried and tried to force my eyes open until finally I was able to. My eyes fluttered open slightly and I see I'm in a hospital room. Suddenly I hear a sharp gasp before the sound of metal violently hits against the floor. A ringing sound from the metal hitting the floor goes through my ear and I moan in displeasure.

I suddenly felt my body being pulled into a familiar embrace. I breathe in the familiar scent and I knew who it was. "Baby, I thought I lost you." Storm said as he hugged me tighter. "Ok I know I died so how the hell am I still alive?" I asked. He released me and I looked at his tired face. He looks like he hasn't slept at all. "It's a long story so prepare yourself." he said and I nodded. He explained everything to me about what happened. He probably let out a few details, but he still told me the big picture stuff. After he told me everything, I was honestly completely shocked. "You know what? I'm not even going to question what happened. I'm just grateful to your mom for saving me."

He chuckled and he held both my hands and brought to his lips and kissed them. His face suddenly turned sad and he looked down at my hands. "You know I thought I would never feel these warm hands ever again after what happened. I swear when you actually died in my arms, I actually felt like my whole world just exploded in front of my eyes and now seeing you awake after being knocked out for two days brings me so much joy in my heart right now."

A tear fell down his cheek and I wiped it away and cupped his face to look at me. "Like I said before you can't get rid of me that easily." I said to him and he slightly chuckled and I pulled him into a kiss. We held our foreheads against each others and he said "I love you". "I love you more." I replied and he gave another small kiss and said "and I love you most."

As we were having our moment we didn't notice that we had an audience. We pulled away from each other when we heard a cough. We faced the person who had coughed and it was the doctor. "Good afternoon Ms. King. I see that your awake. How are you feeling?" he asked. "Well a lot better than being dead." I replied and Storm and him laughed a little.

"Now let's me run a little check up on you to make sure everything is alright." the doctor said and I nodded. I let him do his little check up and it honestly felt like it was going to last forever. When it was finally over, I let out a big sigh of relief.

"Okay everything seems good. Now Ms. King, I do actually have some important information that has been revealed to me over the past couple of days. I think it's some great news considering what happened to you." the doctor said. I grew confused and looked at Storm and he was also confused.I turned back to the doctor and asked "Doctor what are you talking about?". "Ms. King you are four weeks pregnant." he answered.

Storm and I looked at the doctor with a shocked face. "How is that possible? If I had died wouldn't the baby have died too?" I asked and then Storm snapped out of it and said "My mom's told me to take care of the three of you, but she only pointed to you and my father. Now I know what she meant. She saved the baby." I didn't know whether I should be happy or not,but I placed a hand on my stomach and I knew then that I was happy.

A smile appeared on my face and I looked at Storm who was looking at the doctor nearly on the verge of tears. "I'm going to be a dad." he murmured softly and he kept repeating it as if he was questioning it. I held his hand and he faced me. "We are going to be parents." I said to him so he could snap out of it.

A smile appeared on his face and the tears he was holding started to fall and he pulled into a big hug.The doctor had left after awhile and we just continued to hug each other. This is such a wonderful moment. I'm not dead and I found out that I'm pregnant with Storm's baby. Nothing could get better than this.

(A week later)

The day I found out I was pregnant, I was discharged from the hospital and taken back home. Throughout the past week, we told my parents that I was pregnant and obviously my mom was happy for us, but what surprised me was that my dad was very cool with it. In fact he was so excited he was going to have a grandchild he literally told the whole pack. It was weird seeing him like that.

Anyways, after being discharged, the next day I went back to work. Everybody wanted me to rest after what had happened but I said no and that was final. So that's where I am today. I'm stuck in my office just doing work. But that was until I received a text message. It was from Storm. I opened the message and two pictures popped up. One picture was Storm's hand holding a jewelry bag. It was weird then the other picture was a picture of a beautiful ring.

I was shocked by this and then another messaged popped up and it said 'What do you think about this ring?'. I smiled after reading the message and texted back 'It's so beautiful.' After I sent the message, I waited a couple of seconds and he texted back 'Oh really? You want to see a magic trick?'. I looked at the message with a confused look. I wrote back 'uh sure'. He read the message and he texted back 'Look at your keys.'

What? Look at my keys. I opened the drawer the I put my purse in and took out my keys. I looked through my keys and that's where I saw it. The ring from the picture was attached to my keys. How the hell did I not notice this when I left home. I detached the ring off my keys and just stared at it in amazement. Suddenly my phone chimed again and it was another message from Storm. The message said 'Will you marry me?'. I couldn't help but cry tears of joy after reading the text. Then out of nowhere a voice said "I'm guessing that's a yes?".

I looked up from my phone and saw Storm standing in the doorway of my office. I smiled at him and got up and ran to him. I pulled his head down and kissed him. "Yes" I said and he smiled and pulled me into another kiss. I guess I even lied to myself a week. Nothing can get better than THIS.
